  • Hey my lovelies,
    The links for the moulds and tattoos are in my Amazon storefront .. linked below.
    This is a requested video from several people who have asked if tattoos work in Jesmonite .. the same way they do in Resin.
    In this video I show you the results and the best way to go about getting those tattoos in there. I am also testing out a new Spray sealer that I purchased.
    In the video you see me using the sealer directly after making the trays. I realised soon after editing the film that I really should have waited. I will therefore try the sealer again after a 24 hour period and keep you updated of results.
    I absolutely love the use of temporary tattoos. They give a wow factor to these trays.
    I am a full PPE Resin Artist. Please take responsibility for your own safety and wear the appropriate Respirator, gloves and eye protection. Work in a well ventilated area.

    Love the colours and love the tattoos. It's possible the pitting in the clear coat was caused by residual moisture in the Jesmonite, maybe try leaving them for a few days before spraying multiple very light layers, allowing them to dry between layers. You shouldn't need to sand them at all.

    @Jamie-2024 Před 2 lety

    It's not the spray sealant that was the problem per say. The "mottled" look you got as your end result is something called "orange peel". You get this when you spray to close to the surface of your piece and/or the nozzle is clogged or faulty. This is very common with cheap spray cans. You can buy packs of nozzles that spray much better for a good price so you're not wasting your product.
