"The ones that don't want the dog are the ones who end up loving them the most". That is me exactly. Many many many moons ago, the wife brought home a puppy. A 8 week old weenie dog and I was disgusted when she opened the box that was sitting on the kitchen table. The family sat round the table for a few minutes gawking at the little thing and he was standing there shaking like a leaf on a tree out of fear. Poor bugger was scared to death of his new surroundings and new people. Almost immediately, his big eyes and floppy ears got to me. I picked up the trembling pup and cradled him, hoping to give him a sense of security. From that moment on, Maxwell was my dog and I was his. what a joy he was...the best dog ever. Its been 15 or so years since Maxwell passed on, and there's not a single day that goes by that I don't think about him and miss him terribly.
I don't want puppies anymore, when they grown up and get old, they gone,..that's hurt me alot...
I can relate that is very hard because they love you and you love them. I lost my 2 dogs at the same time got hit by a car. I was devastated. I didn't want anymore dogs. But I adopted 2 German shepherd pups and their love is unmatched
But keep in mind that from the puppy’s perspective, they had someone with them their entire lives, looking after and loving them. That someone was you. You gave that happy life to them.
I know it's painful but if he gave you love and friendship while he was alive the memories should still give you joy .We recently lost our beloved Bob miss him terribly but when I think of all the wonderful times we had with him he still makes me smile.I will get another dog when the time is right
I believe that dogs are born already knowing how to love unconditionally. So they don't need to be here as long. As humans, it takes us time to learn how, and some never do. So we need to be here longer. Although saying good bye to our fur babies is never easy, I always cherish the memories they gave me, that I wouldn't have otherwise.
That's life. Everything you love will die and you'll have to deal with that. Do you live your life alone? You do realize that a partner or a child will die too right?
I lost my 14 year old rat terrier/schnauzer mix today. He was my dude. He went everywhere with me, even to work on the ambulance. He helped calm down patients and was very loving and caring. He also had my back. I’m miss you Rowdy. EOW 4-19-24. Rest In Peace bubba, we will meet again. I love you buddy

My sister brought home the cutest deerhead chihuahua named Roxy and my mom didn't allow dogs in the house, but a few times I caught my mom sneaking her some treats and one time I was looking for her and she was in the bed asleep with my mom. She's so loved until she can go to any one of us and get smothered with hugs and kisses.

I already have a dog...I want a wife and kids.
I've never had any pets. And I didn't plan on having anyone. And for some reason, my husband (already ex-husband) gave me a puppy. I wasn't happy like all those people in the video. But the puppy was so tiny and defenseless, and my husband didn't do it at all, so all the care fell on my shoulders.
Now my dog is 8 years old. I adore her, for me she is a member of my family. Smart, kind and infinitely loving to me, does not want to leave me for a second. She is in my life at all important and significant events: a second marriage, the birth of a child, moving to another country. And I want her to live as long as possible, because she is a part of my soul.

I remember when I got my baby boy Zeus he changed my life I was lonely depressed and he changed that for me . He passed not to long ago I had him for 9 years and I never went a day without him and now I just miss him so much. I losty best friend and a big part of my heart.
Now I want a puppy.

You better KNOW the person really wants and can afford a dog, and can take care of it. Because otherwise you're just giving someone a really big 12+ year responsibility and in my experience, most people shouldn't own dogs.
Honestly im not okey with ya u know leting a dog to a 12years old Can save his life from hanging out with wrong dudes, or doing some Bad things outsiide AT least a dog he will give all his Time and love to the puppy and he also Can learn the meaning of responsibility and loyality from that age

Puppies should never be gifts unless the recipient has expressed a specific desire for one and has the means to take care of one. My cousins were gifted a border collie very soon after their previous one had died. They were actually looking forward to being dog-less for a while as their previous dog had run up a lot of vet bills and was very sick much of the last 6 months of its life.
They really were not financially or emotionally ready for another dog and never really bonded to her. The dog ended up escaping the back yard one day and they never found her. Hopefully, whoever did, gave her the home she really deserved.

Il never refer to those horrible wankers as "BREEDERS " who are puppy farmers and more like criminals!! Because that's what they are real breeders are lovely caring people. Its fantastic to see people adopting rescue dogs as they deserve just as much love and respect as puppies. Nothing else on earth can get the same reaction as pups or dogs in general they are the best creatures sent down from the heavens because they are the real angels.
