Yes its fun but dont forget the down side of nurbs modeling, when you import you most probably wont be able to sub complex models, as a result you will have to export a heavy model, and uv will be hell. Now if you use substance painter it will be fine. It is great no doubt, but its not suited for everything. You can always retopo
UVing is fine if it's not to crazy detailed and triangulated. Nurbs and SubD workflow have different needs and have both advantages. It depends for what you need it.

Very helpful tutorial, thank you!
Is it better to learn plasticity and blender since you can use blender bridge or just plasticity. Not sure to focus on both or one
Plasticity is just for modeling. Blender is everything else like texturing, maetrials, rendering, animation, motion effects etc. etc.
Love it! More tutorials please!
Check out my channel. I have a ton of Plasticity tutorials!:)

What tools did you use to make the slots on the bottom half that are shown in the beginning of the video?
At which minute/second do you mean exactly?
@@nikita.kapustin 2:18 near the beginning you show us a preview of the finished model, at first it looked like the slots that could be made with a tool in an older version of plasticity, the Create hole > Slot tool, but looking closer it doesnt appear to be the slots I was thinking of. Sorry about that. Really great tutorial though, thank you so much.
@@Fotenks No problem.
Honestly, I don't know about any slot tool in PLasticity. At least I haven't used it for creating this model.
If you mean by slot the top hole/circle, I showed in the tutorial how I boolean it out in the end.
I think I am not getting what you exactly mean but I showed in the tutorial every little step that I did.
But in anyway I am glad you find it helpful and hopefully solved your question!:)
Great video, thanks for sharing!
ah plasticity, definetely sub
Welcome on board!:) WIll definitely do many more videos on Plasticity!
Absolutey incredible!
Thank you for your feedback. I appreciate it a lot!
What exactly did you found incredible?
@@nikita.kapustin the clear instructions and explanations of your steps. This is what Autodesk should have been years ago... Imho
With no timeline...how do you go back and change a fillet you did way back in the beginning?
great tutorial! thx!!
17:13 plasicity is becoming hard and annoying thanks to the controls being very inconsistant, press tab didnt do anything nor some of the shortcut keys and controls most tutorials used, dont know why so much inconsistantcy cant follow a full tutorials thanks to this issue of shortcut keys never work as the instructor intended, using 1.4 version, did the developer swapped or changed the shortcut keys now? cuz most shortcut keys mentioned in every tutorials about 8 months ago seems to not be working in my plasticity version of 1.4 whats going on?
hey nikita I'm a new sub to your channel I just found the program and following your tutorial it looks so good :) I also saw your old videos about advices I love them...I have a just a question do you think it's possible to get a good clean mesh of that in 3DS MAX ?
Thanks for your feedback!
I am not sure if I understand your question correctly. But you can export your Plasticity models with the exporter as a obj-mesh and then import it into 3DS max and further work with it
Thank you for this intro! (is there a wireframe mode?)
ALT+Z for X RAY.
Otherwise there is no "wireframe" mode. The usually display mode shows you the "CAD wireframe"
От всей души тебя благодарю!
Definitely make more videos like this
Will come:)
Plasticity is not NURBS
@@SuperSuperka what is it then?

how do you swap from the different type of view...
well explained and Tool likes nice. could you please make a tutorial to create a human character
Plasticity is not suited for human characters. For that check out Blender/ZBrush
Принцип скругления и фаски прям очень похож как реализовано в Shapr3D
This software its useful to create high poly into a existing 3d model?
What exactly do you mean?
@@nikita.kapustin Sorry for not explaining well, I mean importing a 3d model and then create hard surface on it without remeshing the origiginal UV , for example
Awesome
Although plastic looks cool and all, also looks like a long-winded way to get results. have it installed and followed the tuts then recreated the objects in modo and blender and was faster in both of these apps. taking nothing away from plastic but just another thing to learn.
Mega dope
Thanks! What do you liked most in this tutorial and what would you like to see next?
@@nikita.kapustin I would lovr to see a rhino and blender workflow. Also can you make a tutorial related to automotive design using plasticity 3d
@@nikita.kapustin do one with substance painter too
how do you get the 3d view? im stuck in top down view
In the version I'm using you can middle-click and drag and it rotates out of the front/top/left views (1.2.10 for Windows)
can this be used for games ?
Yes sure. You can create a low/high - poly version of it and unwrap it in another software
Ver nice video, thanks. Just a suggestion (please don‘t be offended): Click a little less around, please ;)
Thanks. Yeah my mouse enjoy to click loudly around 🤷🏻♂️
Please keep the tutorials coming. I just subscribed :)
how can I get a bridge for blender?
It's in development.
Как его установить? Скачал бесплатную версию,установил, требуется имейл и пароль , ввожу, пишет ошибку!((

awesome tutorial, thanks so much!! loved it!
right at the end after exporting it, it crashed xD
You're welcome!:)
Yeah sometimes Plasticity is a bit unprepared when a huge export operation is incoming 😁

Exactly. Super intuitive and simple to use.
you cant invert the fillet
why i can't get a perfect rectabgle when i pressed tab?
Try press "C" when you draw that rectangel. It changed in the newer version

OMG
Do want the software. Maybe 100 bucks though.
I am going to go insane. Nikita says “und ja” about 5000 times in his videos. Arghhhhh.
Lets hope this program is not bought out by Autodesk to have bought and killed a few such programs in the past. Autodesk does not like competition to its programs.
100% not. Nick Kallen the creator know he is onto something BIG.
This is his baby and I can't imagine he will sell it. The community and the program is beyond amazing!
Enjoy!
@@nikita.kapustin They used to say that about Zbrush but it was sold and is now only on subscription $$$. I hope it isn't sold, but as a pragmatist I know that if the price is right everything is for sale. T-splines for Rhino is a case in point that Autodesk bought then killed so that they could use the technology in their products.
If anyone is wondering, he says "like" exactly 355 times in 44 minutes. That roughly 8 likes per minute or 0.13 per second. Nice video though.

Might be. Why do you think so?
@@nikita.kapustin Shapr3D works very similar (in my opinion), uses the same kernel, but offers nothing more in functionality, except for the push/pull mechanics. I also find it overpriced for what it offers, and I neither like the mandatory subscription.
I can agree. It looks like Plasticity uses a lot of the beauty of Parasolid and only getting stronger
