great video, if it can help, I have a similar process (I guess we all do) but with variations.
1 : writing thoughts, ideas, words, and try to associate them
2 : I try to find the etymology of the main concepts I wrote, to see where it leads and often creates new associations.
3 : I look at tons of images on pinterest or google or books linked to those ideas.
4 : I look at different artwork created by others on the same topic, both to get ideas and to not recreate exactly the same if possible.
    5 : create
Also, walk a lot, wander (both physically and psychologically), go to museums (always get me to want to create), and draw in your sketchbook everyday from real life.

I love the etymology idea 😍 Thank you for your comment 🤍 beautiful words about wandering, couldn’t put it in a better way 🫶🏻

As an hobbyist gamedev I have been learning little things on and off about multiple forms of art: writing, drawing, modelling, architecture, sound design, music, etc. I'm not impressive at any of them lol But, I am slowly improving, and I'm using a method not that different from what you explained, but with a few differences.
    - Planning, writing, making a map of the ideas, etc. I always do it cause it helps me turn those gas-like ideas into solid concepts I can fall back on when needed
    - Finding and building my own library for inspiration. A place you can go to when your mind is empty and you can't think of anything, where you can just see a bunch of weird stuff and let your mind go wild. Building your own library is also good, but try to not to fall into the whole "I'll save it for later" (and never use it) cycle lol
    - Finding critics. You need that guiding hand as you go, otherwise you may try things that are a little bit too creative and no one will understand you. Also, write the more generic points down, as they'll most likely apply to most things you do, and often if they don't have the time, you can use that little list to guide yourself
    - Expanding on the idea. Sometimes we think of an idea and we immediately wanna do something with it, but we end up not seeing perhaps a better alternative. Like someone else already suggested, look for etymology of words, find synonyms, find antonyms, cultural/religious/mythological references, anything that might add to that idea is useful, even if not in that particular situation, it might be useful in the future. Also, finding other forms of art can be great. Listening to a song related to the concept while drawing, composing a song while in a place related to that idea, etc..
    - Using AI as an assistant... I know artists have a tough time with AIs, but I highly recommend using it as a little assistant, it's basically Google on steroids. Imagine you are on a library, and there is a little robot there, instead of asking the robot to write the book for you, you can ask him to bring you books related to certain topics, teach you topics from different perspectives, etc. Prompts like "teach me this concept like i'm 5 years old, with sources", "i find x concept really interesting has any study/work been done around it?", "how does x culture/religion/people relate to y concept?". "interesting/cool sites for this kind of stuff", can really, REALLY, affect your performance and once you find the right way for your workflow to conversate with the AI it's even better. There was a point in time people hated digital drawings, now it's seen as normal thing, some people even prefer it.
    - Reporting. I like writing little reports about every thing I do nowadays, a short summary of the idea, how the concept changed throughout the process, criticism, how it ended up, and some extra ideas in case one day I decide to pick that up and improve on it or make something similar.
I always like to see how people work and see what I can change, great video, liked how you explained the concepts slowly, I still have a problem understanding some words. I hope you release something architecture related in the future, kinda addicted to stuff like that recently thanks to DamiLee lol

Couldn’t agree more with your words!
So true about finding critics! A great point, even though hearing that my idea is not that genius as I thought sometimes makes me wanna cry 😀 still it is necessary and helpful + teaches us not to take critics personally, as it’s just our work, that is rated or discussed, not we as people 🙏🏻
I LOVE your AI suggestion (I smiled when I read “Google on steroids” that’s so funny and also the BEST description of what AI really is). I am totally going to try your ideas out!
I am so thankful for your comment, I am so glad my video reached such cool audience and now I am finding a lot of inspiration in the comment section 🥹🤍🤍
and yes!! definitely going to film something architecture/interior design related in the nearest future 🫶🏻

@@designssance Glad to help!! Yeah, critics can be tough sometimes specially when it's a close person to you haha, but oh well, it's better for us in the long term I think. Of course, as long as we are able to filter actual constructive criticism lol. Glad to hear you liked the AI thing, I was afraid you might not like it since the last time I commented this on an art-related video people treated me like the devil 🤣😅 Please do try them out, they have been really helpful for me!
Don't give up, I love seeing people showing off their work and knowledge on topics they like, hard road ahead but as long as you have fun and learn while on it, why not? Excited for your architecture stuff, thank you 😄

yeah, I guess AI topic is very controversial one, but as long as we believe that nothing will replace human mind, there is nothing to be scared of 🤓🤍 thank you again for your kind comment! I truly appreciate it 🫶🏻

звичайно, це лише мій спосіб, як вигадувати ідеї, мені завжди подобається все систематизувати і розбивати на етапи, так як іноді творчість потрібна тут і зараз, а натхнення не завжди приходить за бажанням 😄🤍

Great video thank you! I work as a yoga teacher and sometimes I struggle finding inspo when creating a new class or planning an instagram reel to share more about yoga, I often do not know what to begin from and using someone’s else ideas feels wrong.. but I will try to do it your way next time 🤍
