- Plane spotting filmed on 8.14.21 at Sea Tac Airport at another new location.
The arrivals today were typical, consisting mostly of 737s, A320s, A220s, Emb-175s, Dash-8's and the occasional A330 and 757. I hope you enjoy!
**update - the port of seattle was not fond of me filming in this location, so even though this was probably the best location to see the planes landing on the runway, I'll need to keep looking for filming locations.

thank you for great video. I live in England, age 82 , retired and have been to New York, New Orleans (twice ), Atlanta; so to keep me busy I watch videos on youtube for any planes landing or takeoff and I make notes of the airports, cheers,
Terrific video. Some don't know how busy Sea-Tac has become. With Alaska and Delta hubs this place is alive. Minute by minute arrivals and departures.
Note the planes right behind the approaching landings.
Hey Paul - thank you! That was a fun day. And I agree, it’s busy for sure! I do wish SeaTac had some designated areas to watch the planes like many other large airports. Thanks for watching!
I live on Queen Anne Hill. We have planes flying over 24/7. There's a Chinese MD-11 that flies over seven days a week at 0351. The aircraft from the south turn right (east) over Queen Anne and begin their final (SSE to SSW) to SEA.
Mind-blowing quality and closeups.
Thank you very much!
Many Alaska air comes here
Beautiful capturing ❤
Thank you! Alaska is one of my favorites! I fly them all the time to CA.
Fantastic video my friend ✈️👍🏼
Thank you! And thanks for watching!
Nice spotting man! Beautiful camera work, keep it up!👍
Hey - thank you very much! Still very much getting the hang of it….
Awesome catches you found, I sometimes see Delta A330's around.
Thank you! I have flown on them a couple of times to Europe. Very nice planes!
That Alaska airlines livery is very beautiful
Thanks and thanks for watching!
Absolutely wondrous compilation!
Thank you, Chris!
@@enjoytheflight You're welcome!
Fantastic!!
Thank you!
Stunning 🤩
Thank you!!!
Good job not getting thrown out, people really don't like planespotters for some reason.
Thank you! And yep - found out they really don’t want us in this spot!
New subscribers in Korea!
Wow! Korea! Thank you for watching and subscribing!
Can’t wait for the next video🛬
Getting close - thank you! Was in LA last week captured some great heavies. Hope to have it done within a couple of days.
Awesome!
Thank you!
Nice video!
Thank you!!!
Very good
Thank you so much!
Wow man, your camera is really nice, keep it up!!
Thank you and thanks for watching!
Nice! All my flights are in the N gates, so just a view of Alaska air
Thanks! I typically only fly Alaska, but hate going to N gate. Love me some C gate…
My favorite terminal is probally the d terminal, really modern
Those are the closest shots I’ve seen at Sea Tac in years. I miss the park that use to be where the third runway is now.
Thanks! Great spot - but they didn’t like me being there. The good filming options at SeaTac are very limited now, unfortunately.
@@enjoytheflight Kicked out, or...? It's gravel off of a public road, what can they do
@@louiearmstrong evidently…..west of the runway to 509 belongs to the port, though there are no signs. If you try to drive up, there is a gate with no trespassing signage. I hiked in from south of the runway and there were no signs. As I was packing up to leave a guard in a truck was coming through to kick me out. I contacted media relations at the port to see if I could be there and they said it was a restricted location. Not giving up….
@@enjoytheflight there’s a parking lot on 166th that’s a great view of the runways
@@benpeterson7604 I think I was in the place you are describing. Great views but didn’t want me there!
As a person who lives here if u don’t live here is a fact for 737 lovers: There is at least 20 in the airport every second in SEA
Hey man I really like your video, I was wondering would you be interested in doing a joint video project from ksea if you where able to find a new filming location?
Hey thanks and thanks for watching! Let’s chat about the colab - do you have IG?
I do it’s booth4064
2:09 OMG A MAX 😃 well the max does have a ⭐ safety record but i still like
Hopefully they are better now! Thanks for watching!
A lot of Alaska Airlines DHC 8s, I guess they're being used for short range flights.
Yes, especially on that outside third runway…
Nice vid! Which spot is this?
It’s over by the radar tower. If the Port Security sees you, they will tell you to leave.
I found this spot...have you have gotten told to leave ? Since it's no public access? Love the view to get the planes
Yep - I was told to leave.
Not many wide-body heavies like the Boeing 767, 777 or the 787, just Airbus A330s, although the few classic Boeing 757s that appeared would be considered narrow-body heavies.🙂
They seem to keep the heavies primarily on 16L or 34R. Somewhat difficult to get to with a camera 🙂. Thank you for watching!
@@enjoytheflight Thank you and a happy new year. 👍👍
@@MagnumMike44 same to you!
What kind of camera and lens do you use?
This was a Panasonic ux 180 but I wouldn’t recommend it for plane filming. I have now switched to a Sony fx3. DM me in IG for more info.
A few of the plane identifications were incorrect, like the Delta 787 which was actually a Delta 757.
Hi - thanks for watching! The flight number for the Boeing 757 is flight 787 from Salt Lake. A little confusing, I know. The flight numbers are in the top line and the aircraft type is in the second line. I would make some changes in that regard on the next one as it was confusing to several.
@@enjoytheflight Gotta! Great up close work!
Thank you!
Where did you Plane Spot at? Where do you recommend?
That spot was over by the radar tower. They will kick you out if they catch you over there. Easiest place is the water tower.
@@enjoytheflight thanks, where is water tower located?
@@hunterschulman4596 corner of 24th Ave S and S 146th st. You can DM me on IG and I could send more info. Thanks!
Hi i was wondering where you were located when you took this video?
West side of the far west runway by the radar tower. I was asked to leave.
Hello i wanted to know can i still visit this spot? wanna take pictures for my photography class?
They have it fairly locked down. It’s by the radar tower on the west side of 34L / 16R. You can always try :)
Please share this location for spotting. I was only able to find a spot near the waste water reservoir area, that wasn't good enough though. Thanks in advance!
It’s on the west side by the radar tower. However the port police will make you leave.
@@enjoytheflight oh that's bummer 😞. Any better spot?
@@Ai-Galaxy-GS if you want to see them land, the water tower is about the best place for SeaTac. There are other spots that get you arguably closer, but because the runways are elevated, you don’t get to them see them actually land. A bit of a bummer.
@@enjoytheflight I see, thank you so much for the help! Love your videos btw, keep up the good work!
@@Ai-Galaxy-GS thank you! Hoping to do some filming this weekend here in LA and have it up soon! Thank you for watching!
the only accessible location to watch planes was at the North end by the "water Tower"
a police officer who approached us once because they had a report that a passenger (amazingly) reported that we were being suspicious at the spot lol, We only have binoculars and a Camera to take pictures of the Airplanes, (couldn't blame the passenger though lol), he took us to a spot by the Alaska Air Cargo facility parking lot, and it was amazing view, but however lasted for short months, though the officer did explain that "it is ok to be watching planes here" a man who works at the facility kicked us out, we told them a police officer told us that its ok and he said "it's never ok" so back to the water tower we go
the video spot looks great, but had the feeling these people will kick us out, but great spot though.
I hear you - there are very few legal spots to watch the planes in Seattle. It’s very unfortunate. The water tower and a couple of “ok” places at the south end are about it. If any of my spots look interesting just let me know and I can provide you with directions. Instagram works best but here would work too.
where was this?
West side of the runways by the radar tower. Last I saw, it was closed off.
Can you provide coordinates to this spot?
How do you keep it so still.
Do you mean with the tripod? Lol, lots and lots of practice. Plus some other things….dm me…..
Enjoy the Flight I don’t know how to DM on YT. Am I missing something…?
Not at all - apologies! I should have mentioned my email and Instagram links are in the about section. Either are good options to chat.
Where was this spot?
West side of the far west runway by the radar tower.
Please tell me where this spot is nice video
Thanks! It’s over by the radar tower. Just a warning - security won’t want you there.
@@enjoytheflight oh dang I live in Olympia and and I am trying to find some good spots to watch planes seems to be not very plane spotting friendly I don't want to drive there to fight traffic just to be told off I heard you can park by the water tower is that a good spot you know of?
@@Pnw_Railfan_Avation to me, Seatac is not a plane-spotting friendly place, but there are at least a few places to go. If you wanna see them landing and up close, then the water tower is probably the best place. It’s especially good for the heavies coming in on 16L (if the planes are coming in from the North). There are some other places I’ve shot from as well. If any others from my other videos interest you, DM me on IG and I can get you directions.
Where is a good spot to plane spot near sea tac?
The water tower is probably the best place.
Where us this spot at?
West side of the far west runway by the radar tower.
Hey awesome video, great work, around 08-2021, I went to 47.4344507, -122.3100501 and was promptly told to leave by port of Seattle police.
I looked that up and it’s showing on 188th, just next to 34R. Is that correct? And yea, they don’t really like anyone enjoying the airport in Seattle. I was told not to go back to the spot I shot this video from.
@@enjoytheflight yes that's exactly where it was, i was literally there for 10 minutes, too bad we can't just enjoy the airport.
@@sipahi61 were you on the sidewalk? Or on that part in front of the gate? I don’t know how they can kick you off the sidewalk. In fact, the media relations guy from port of Seattle, Perry Cooper, told me I could be along 188th.
@@enjoytheflight No I drove there so I was on the drive way in front of the gate, and there were no trespassing signs, however I wasn't blocking the gate by any means, I just wish they had a dedicated area for spotters, I was recently in Amsterdam and spotting is apart of their culture there it's basically a past time activity for families. I was shocked the main Airport in Amsterdam doesn't even have a fence or signs around it in some areas. Hundreds of people go spotting daily.
@@sipahi61 crazy difficult in Seattle. There are a couple of ok, legal spots, but nothing great. I’m in LA this week and LAX has many easy to get to, legal areas, including a spotting park. That’s pretty cool about Amsterdam - was that at Schiphol?
Hey Henry!
Henry?
We should link up and do some plane spotting ✈️
Absolutely! IG is called Enjoy the Flight
It is SEATAC not Seattle Tacoma. Thanks!
Hi Kris - I appreciate you watching the video and I hope you enjoyed it. I do, however, disagree with your comment. The Port of Seattle calls the airport, Seattle Tacoma International Airport on their website.
When someone gets off a flight and walks through the baggage claim area, the overhead sound systems welcomes you to Seattle Tacoma International Airport and not SeaTac.
More importantly, when optimizing the title of this CZcams video, it was easy to research what search terms people look for when looking for the airport. Seattle is much higher up than SeaTac in search related terms, thus making it more likely to be viewed than if I had titled it with SeaTac.
Again, thanks for watching!
