i think, for insulation, foam boards with acrylic cement/fabric on the boards, wired to the boo structure, will give beauty, insulation, longetivity, as well as a very good roof, as this base will take many of the fine roofing materials available, including green roofs.

Beautiful! Nice energy in and from the shapes and flow of the bamboo architecture and stone 'carvings' on site. That tub was also unique! I would like to experience that retreat.

That spiral stair case remind me.. Lord of the ring.. Tree House where Lady galadriel live in rivendell.. She walk down the wood stair like those stair in this villa.... This is natural n art perfection in every corner.... Festive...... Best of the best..

Yes this resort is really heaven on earth. We have here in thailand also many bamboo houses, I recently went to Thailand's largest bamboo house (name "Giant Bamboo Hut") and shot a video about it, it's available in 4K 60fps.

I’ve seen a bathtub like this, think it was 12,000 €, in a high end shop for bath room appliances in Munich, Germany, several years ago.
That sounds like way too much. We could build one here for only $400 USD

Bamboo grows native in humid areas , but for housing n furniture its more suitable for dry climates.
Humid places would make bamboo-made furnitures n houses cracks quickly...
All the bamboo is treated to ensure it is suitable for construction and furniture purposes.

Thanks Charlie. It's hard when going through the villas to try and explain everything amazing around you - the materials, style, history, feel, experience... too much for words usually. However 100% would be worth making a mention of this exact process in a future video as so many villas are built this way. Fun to piece together some education via the entertainment and aim to do it more!

I do hope those concrete-looking walls in the beginning are actually rammed earth. If not then using concrete just cancels out the carbon sequestering of the bamboo. Amazing design btw!

Hello, The bamboo is treated, making it weatherproof and suitable for construction purposes.

Is the bath tub made of bamboo? I thought you couldn't soak bamboo in water without ruining it ( or is that only certain types of bamboo). Does it have a coating on it that makes it water proof? So many questions.
Its made of wood, not bamboo. Yes they normally have waterproof coatings and glue between the wood pieces
