U can get gloves too so u can safely touch it or ur hot hair😂
That means you probably got a low quality iron or you can use heat resistant gloves

I actually love that this tutorial goes through the entire process. I’ve seen a lot of video that skip over one side of the hair or show them doing a couple of pieces of hair and then show the finished look. This was really helpful.

Am I the only one who’s hair is just not getting curly
No , you're not alone . At first when I tried to curl my hair it didn't work, but u just have to keep your hair it the heat for longer and also it depends on what type of hair u have. You can read the instructions manual and it would say at what temperature you would have to curl your hair
also, her straightener is more curved on the outside surface so that can be another factor
when i tried on the short part of my hair in the front it worked like perfectly but then the rest og my long hair just didnt get curly it also made that crunchy sound and i am actually scared i really damaged my hair by trying so much 😅😂😂gues whos gonna get bald soon

I figured out what I was doing wrong - you have to COMPLETELY turn the iron ALL the way (use a mirror) to the other side and then you must glide it down IN THAT EXACT POSITION and making sure that there is enough tension when you pull down slowly, away from your face. You "catch" the tension when you first flip the iron.
If you do not glide down the hair in a bent position, it will NOT work. Also make sure to keep the iron up and down when doing the flip. Then you turn it down into the bent position and take your time with it when coming down. Also, hold the tail end AWAY from the direction you are pulling it away from. This is what makes the curl.

@@nh4820 the bent position she’s saying is horizontal 😉 and I definitely noticed if I barely lost any tension from the flip it doesn’t work and my niece said don’t go all the way off the ends but if you don’t it doesn’t work either 🤣 I dunno how the ones that wrap the hair around instead of doing the flip still get a good curl either 😂

When I first saw you in a commercial 10 years ago I had major hair envy, mine was so short and straight I could barely do a ponytail. Now it's just like yours ! I've reached a goal without realizing it, til I saw this video!
Instead of doubling the heat on your heat with curling & straightening, you could just start in the middle and stop before your ends and create those waves instantly :) you are beautiful btw!

This may sound weird to some... but I just want to thank you for filming with hair on your arms. I feel like so many people portray this "perfect" and unnatural way that girls should look, and it has always made me feel bad about not wanting to remove my body hair (at least not ALL the time!). I kind of like my body hair, and it's taken me awhile to feel comfortable in my own skin. Thanks for being a good role model too Emily! 🙏❤️️
