    Protein is an important part of our hair as a structure and also as part of the ingredients that we might use for haircare. Protein shampoos and treatments can help in making brittle, easy to break hair stronger and healthier. This is incredibly important if your hair is prone to split ends or breakage.

    I believe the type of hair we have is highly dependent on our gene .. I mean the kind of hair texture we are born with... I really want to know if there is anyone who saw a transformation of hair by using any products.. Ma'am I feel you are blessed with great hair... !!

    • @RubinaSkincare
      @RubinaSkincare  Před 3 lety +2

      Absolutely depends on genes for sure. Here is what I have learnt in growing my hair from shoulder length to this in the last 3 years. Hair when cared for wtih the right products tend to not break and and split- this helps a lot in growing out length and also keeping the hair looking glossy. I have videos on both breakage and split ends please do look. I also started Olaplex which prevents breakage.
      as for density- i have PCOD- just adding a good probiotic and paying attention to protein has helped my hair a lot. My hair never used to grow long before now they do.
      Genes def define the density, hair fall, premature graying, and even length to some extent but as I have seen in my case gentle, good care can help to some extent.

      Have you tried leave in conditioner? try getting the wave in place on wet hair- the clump method- i discuss this in my moisture treatment at home video.
      what will keep the waves down is also mousse. you will have to go over the hair thoroughly though. Once it dries after a few hours. you can also crunch it to soften the wave. I dont! I prefer the wettish look. Hope this helps 💛

    Hi rubina ! I want to ask you one thing I have been using sulphate free shampoo for past 2 years I've tried so many sulphate free shampoo but till date I couldn't find the right one for me . In the past two years my hair is so dry and frizzy and a lot of hair fall, I don't know this because of sulphate free shampoo or not . I want to use shampoo that has sulfates but everytime I use shampoo them they make my scalp so itchy and dry I know what to do. Can you please recommend a good shampoo that not only remove oil from my hair but doesn't make my scalp itchy or dry .

    Very informative video..there are other you tubers who also narrate science based info..doing a good job ..but there's something that sets you apart from them , like what ever you explain is easily understood as you don't only speak science but break it a bit down to let a person understand it better just as the food is broke down by enzymes in stomach to help body absorb it in an better way.😀i dnt kno it may sound funny example but I couldn't find any better way to express.. bit by bit is just taken and easily understood 👍..can you pls give us a video on more curly hairs ..I hv super curly and dry hairs, maggi curly,evn after washing they show up as a little broad curls but as soon as they dry they become super spring curly just like uncooked maggi noodles.that does not allow me to leave them open on any occasion coz the more u open them the more tangled they become after some time..so I always tie them up..but this much curly hair leads to more breakage whilst combing in air dried hair..pls help..🙏

      Thank you for the sweet note Vandana
      hmmm curly hair is a different from the wavy hair is what I believe. You cannot comb them out at all once you clump comb them. Have you tried mousse, or gel . A good trick would be to use a leave in, then go in with gel. then scrunch if needed when dry. I think this should help.

Also, I always used to wonder why few sections of hair take longer to dry , now I think I have the answer, all thanks to you.
    One doubt - does frizzy hair means lack of moisture or more absorption of moisture? My hair gets more freezy in the monsoon, does it mean it is absorbing more moisture from environment?

    • @RubinaSkincare
      @RubinaSkincare  Před 3 lety

      hair tends to get frizzy in monsoon anyway but if its got low porosity it will frizz more. Easy fix is to use a leave in conditioner and then go in with a gel. ocne its dry you can leave it as it is for wet look or scruch for softer curls.

    Mam i had some questions..
    1) Are sulphate free and silicone free shampoo's good for frizzy hair?
    2) Are those two ingredients in a shampoo harmful for the hair?
    3) I have been using the Herbal Essence Argan Oil of Morocco shampoo since 2 years now which claims it is silicone free. It suits my hair well and I did try to switch to a sulphate free variant of the same brand recently just for 2 3 washes and found that it led to more frizz & hair fall. I stopped using it and continued with the variant i was using previously. Don't know what is the reason behind this confused about what/which one to use. Do i need to change my shampoo often?

Well i am diagnosed with alopecia areata last week and i have coin size patches on scalp ,4 to 5 .and although im taking it lightly since there is no point getting worried and tgere are ppl who loose their hair for various treatments and health condition and yet they are so positive hence mine is a trivial issue where as my husband loves my hair and hes really worried in a good way cos he sees how much i take care of skin and hair.Well coming to the point is detoxie a protein treatment ,or a regular shampoo?the ah botanics treatment i checked last time its expensive .vould you give us affordable options .what kind of comb should a straight hair b used .Thank you for the responses you give and your recommendations they are really worth.

    Does hair masks with protein actually improve your hair quality or is it just conditioner with more leave in time? like my boyfriend has dry wavy long hair(bob cut for us) with high porosity he lives in an area with relatively high temperature and very less humidity. So I was wondering should I even invest in hair mask. P.S. he is very low maintenance I will have to nudge him to apply hair mask every week. I know it could be weird but I don't know who to ask.

    Talking of coconut oil, what's your opinion on our humble Parachute? I've been reading a lot of chatter on the internet in the last couple of years about how Parachute lies about it being composed entirely of "pure coconut oil" and it is, supposedly, partly made of mineral oil? It seems that more women are turning to extra virgin coconut oil brands like Indus Valley. I too have been using Indus Valley lately, and although it is a wonderful alternative, I'm still wondering if the recent distrust people have towards Parachute is based on actual science. It doesn't help that Indian brands are not held to the same standards as European brands when it comes to being honest about the ingredients list.

    • @RubinaSkincare
      @RubinaSkincare  Před 3 lety +1

      There is a lot of mistrust, some rightful some exaggerated, but it is what it is. The Indian skincare standard vs EU / Korean standards debate is very nuanced and no one can do justice to it via a post or video. Definitely not via a rant for sure ..... 😇 if you are aware of the purito controversy it happened with a Korean brand right under the nose of the so called highest K standards. And it was called out by someone outside of Korea.
      What I know for sure is that the world is flat, culturally and politically....people are the same everywhere and those who want to be corrupt will find a way. Don't you think ?
      I have no idea what's in parachute yet.. but its kept hair healthy for scores n scores of folks for over 3 decades! Fluke? Placebo? I tend to trust legacy over noise 🧐
