tuning that last element (drone) I can see why there is a gatekeeper plugin now. Virus throw back.
Excellent! I would love to see you make a video tutorial on building a full track without using the Virus TI2 plugin and only on the hardware no computer and save as preset and send to a mixer recorder USB card! I have a Virus TI2 and the plugin software no longer works on new Mac OS X but Access Kemper still advertises it! So I have to dump to my TX-6 mixer recorder USB card and import into a DAW. Love the Virus but such a royal PITA to record it.
There is an unofficial solution for Mac OSX.
AURA PLUGINS(Virus HE). But it costs money. You have to know for yourself if it is worth it.
@@MatthiasLindemann-hp2zr I've had my TI2 for a couple weeks now -- incredible synth and amazing fun to program via HW, but the Aura editor seems like must-have for doing things like custom arp patterns or intricate mod matrix routings. (Scrolling through long lists of source/destinations is a PITA from HW.) Also a no-brainer for patch management or designing your own multis. Still haven't bought it yet but plan on it once I learn the HW in and out.
I'm starting to experiment with using TI2 as an effects processor for other synths like Microfreak, recording sample fodder in OT. Worked great until I turned off the microfreak and left the TS cables plugged in -- had some terrible ground loop noise, no matter what patch I was playing on Virus. Easy fix but kind of a shame I can't leave the external sources plugged in when not in use. Have you ever had that issue? Just concerned that I might have a problematic unit -- bought it used on Reverb.
@@AdamsOlympia If you want the TI/TI2 as software (free) google for "DSP56300 EMULATION BLOG". It is not an emulation, it uses the original code of the virus. :)
Love the Virus ti since it came out BUT theres no chance using
all 16 ch simultaniusly because of CPU limit.
On the TI1 i have max 3 hi quality sounds until it steals voices..
Perhaps the only downside of this f***in great Synth!
and no software compatible on new Macs is the flaw. Kemper needs to make a new Virus with color LCD screen and compatible to new Mac OS!

how muhc of CPU from the virus was being used when all this was playing?
There is no way of checking that I am aware. But my guess would be barely. YOu have to try really hard to bring a Virus to it`s knees.
How i can render in place withy virus ti2 it stops working shortly afterwards? Is there a setting so that it always runs? Thx
