This could quite easily have crossed over and been as big as, say, 'N-Trance - Set You Free' ... it had all the ingredients, but, stayed strictly underground in the clubs... kind of glad that the masses don't know of it... makes it EVEN more special. Absolute cult classic! I'd also put 'Rhythm Foundation - Let The Whole World Know' in the same bracket. We were blessed.
genuinely one of the greatest tunes ever released. I'd just love to just go back to when this was first played. Loud. You can almost feel the crowd loving it.
Oh dear.I just played this to my 18yr old daughter and told her it was a classic "oh you mean like Mr Bright side" she says they play it all the time in the club's. I feel sad😒
Remember back in the mid 90's a bar in Hull - Sggt Peppers - used to play this regularly, along with all the other big underground tunes of the time. It was one of the few bars in the city at the time, along with another called Biarritz, where you'd hear quality House Music, pre-club hours! I clearly remember the whole bar used to go absolutely fucking nuts to this particular track!!!
@@simontunnicliffe2107 This bar had those classic BOSE loud speakers in it. You know the ones. The system was ridiculously loud for the size of the bar. Amazing times.
‘Denise Lopez - Don't You Wanna Be Mine' was another that tore the roof off... the girls went nuts for it. I’d always get them coming up to me when I was dj’ing at private parties, trying to describe how it went, asking me to play it. I was always like, ‘Yeah, it’s awesome, it’s Denise Lopez, but, I haven’t got it, it’s rare as fuck to get on 12”.’
Sounds like a Zone warm-up. Just me on the dance floor pulling off a few experimental moves before the club packs out. Life will never be as good. Loved it :)
Dream FM... oh wow Janes Fresh Show on a Sunday... still half twated from night before and still dancing around kitchen hahahahah kids have no idea what a decent tune is now!!!
All the people who think there is no joy in dance music now are wrong and to think that the 'youth of today' don't appreciate this quality of music is ridiculous. We are aware of the musical roots which shaped the club scene we continue to cherish so much. There is still love in the clubs you oldies and these songs do still get played. Sometimes :)
jade jemma Jade, just count yourself lucky you’ve managed to discover this tune. It’s one of the real cult tunes of the early 90’s. By the way, how’d you get here anyway?? If you want a heads-up to any other gems from this era, just give me a nudge.
Music - The Voice Of The Soul well my mum and dad have brought me up with this music. They had a lot of records with this music and used to play them on the decks lol. Saddens me that I was a kid when this was around, I would much rather have been in my late teens early 20s around that time haha!
jade jemma They sound like me. Lol. I had Techincs decks and have about 2,000 vinyl records. We were all obsessed with these tunes back in the day! It was a very special time. There’s one video which really encapsulates what the atmosphere was like back in the clubs back then. Hang on, I’ll find it...
Hey@@VoiceOfThe ! I've just found this song today, I've been looking through every comment on this page in search of more gems. I seen your comments and they made me smile haha, love the passion mate! I too am obsessed with music, i absolutely love 90's rave but it's the area of dance I know least about. I would apreciate if you could show me the other gems you mention :) I was born in 96 and I would love to bring the energy of this music to parties now adays, the world needs it too

The bit at 1:19, what is it sampled from? is this the original of what is on Herd and Fitz Just Can't Get Enough? Or is it from Richie Rich salsa house?
