- I wanted to add texture to my background for my youtube videos but didn't want to spend a lot of money on an Aputure or Godox spotlight so I purchased this optical snoot off amazon to test out for my home youtube studio. Check out my last video to see how I used this type of tool.

How is the light output? I recently tried one and it was sooooo dim that I had to return it :/
It does lose a half or a full stop. I try to use my 300 or 600 with it. Unless you’re shooting with a more moody look.

Of course!! Same reason I got it. I’m like I don’t want to spend so much when I’m only using it for CZcams content at home. I’ll have provide what’s the best for what you need not what’s the best cause of the brand. Plus I actually tested an aputure and it was a little too stiff for me.

There’s honestly not much information on the lens. It’s a cheaper shoot. What exactly do you want to know?
@@BrittneyJanae ahh well i wanted to know can we take the light far enough with this snoot will it be able to cover around height of 6 ft if we are in a medium space let's say around 10-12 ft distance.
@@paritosh3saklani so it doesn’t give detailed information but when using it I’ll say from experience as long as your light is powerful you should be good. What it does say is “when 1 meter distance between spotlight and the background the max diameter of the pattern for the project is 11 inches and for the spot it’s 25 inches.

Lol, literally just ordered this last week. The nice thing about it is that other Gobos (like from Godox and Profoto) fit in it as well, so you can save money on the projection unit and still get other gobos from other brands

Do you see any spots on the wall due to the white and yellow leds?
Honestly no. It get petty Sharp and it’s pretty clear. I heard that aputure has that issue but I haven’t ran into that with this one

If it has a Bowen’s mount yes!
@@BrittneyJanae yess ad 600 pro has a bowens mount but it has the largest diameter so most of the snoot can be used in ad 400 pro or ad600 bm max but when it comes to this there are very few compatible with it.
