Most certainly enjoyed this. Over there you seem to have a higher chance when using soft plastics and lures in comparison to Adelaide's areas. Don't get me wrong, I've caught a few things, but not at the rate you do, especially fishing in metro or close to city areas.
Also love how good the flathead are over there. Also in another note, bream over here have to be 30cm as legal 😯. 31 to be safe haha

Recently me and Midgetjim went to a freshwater spot and we caught 3 eels!!
Wow, fresh water fishing is pretty intesrting and those eels get big!
brings back memories watching this video, walking iron cove before the fences flicking hardbodys for bream in the early 2000's, just hardbody the drains on hi tide, so many fish
It used to be so good, almost guaranteed to catch on lures of all sorts and flicking hardbodies was so productive
@@ShroomFishing its better now then before, grab a kayak and sit in the iron cove bay above the weedbeeds with 3b cranks on hi tide. catch fish all day, unfortauntley we are going to lose alot of fishing spots, the wharfs will be first to go then pier one/two, councils already getting together for proposal

Just my irrelevant two cents worth, but I reckon the Squidrex lure for light tackle inshore pretty useless. I fished this morning early up the Mid North Coast. Using my Daiwa Infeet Z 712 L.F.S with a little, very small Daiwa Double Clutch. All for a couple useless undersize Tailor. However, same area, generally speaking, mid last week, I got on a paddle tail,a 63cm Flattie. We put it back, me and mate decided just too cool a fish, to take her life. Leave for another angler, I reckon, when she’s got even bigger. Keep keepin on Shroom!!😊

Hey Shroom, don't know if your Mullet in Australia are the same as the ones we get here in Scotland but ours love the colour red. Use tiny shrimp style lures around 1 inch in size fished almost static.
The ones here don't often hit lures Andrew but you would have seen a few odd catches in my videos over the years. Only a few sessions I found them hungry for lures and it makes for some of the most exciting fishing. I might give your suggestion a go however, could be onto something
In the 80s there no oysters.The water must be cleaner now brother in law worked at Homebush bay Olympic sight.Dude recycled heavy metals.I would get crook catching train near Concord.
Yep it looks clean these days but I know the danger is still lurking in the sediment for sure
I love the harbour but id love to try fishing the Parramatta because i've fished in the harbour a long time
It's not quite as nice as the harbour Judha, but if the views don't matter too mucj, there's definitely a lot of potential for lure fishing especially!

Can't say I fancy them Tim but they are definitely a trend that's caught on in the last few years. I'll probably have to check some out at some stage I don't really count the Squidgie slick rigs that I've used before as one but they probably do fall into that category

Great vid, please do some more surface on the slippery dog! Question, have you ever had a treble come out of the split ring, happened today for me on a small flatty, I'm a bit confused..... hook didn't break, the split ring was half of when I reeled in, treble gone....
I got plenty of slippery dogs and a Bassday sugapen still Peter haha. Yes, not common but there's a small chance that can happen. It happens more frequently when people tie loop knots to split rings and they wind back in and the lures gone lol

Those mullet are fussy i got one once on a watermelon zman Paddle haha went like a train 50something cm too.
