I respect this band so much. I met Ryan the bass player and the first time i met him he was telling a fan to finish his college and never stop that. He also hung out with me after the show and was so down to earth. Not only are they a good band they are truly a positive role model in their ventures.

I love this band just as much as you guys, but the whole "feud" did start with Mushroomhead fans. It started with Mushroomhead fans throwing a padlock at Paul Gray, the bassist for Slipknot before he died in 2010. Why? Because of his mask. Both he and Pig Benis wore pig masks, but Paul didn't have a padlock going through its' nose. That's it, that's all there is to it. Both bands have respect for each other and there are even discussions about doing a tour together. So yes, it did start with Mushroomhead fans, and apparently Slipknot fans are trying to fight back, even though the fight ended about 10 years ago. I consider myself both a Slipknot and Mushroomhead fan and I would and could never hate either band. They're both great in their own right, and this bullshit just needs to stop. One side has to start, and even though, at large, Mushroomhead fans seem to be the most mature of the two, I think it's better for both parties if we just stop talking crap about Slipknot. Does this mean they will also stop? Not sure, but yes, they probably will. From the looks of it, Slipknot is already digging their own graves anyway and they're probably not going to be around for much longer.

Theres a copycat band!! Until I listened to them, NOTHING Like Slipknot, but just as wicked.. Turns out That Mushroomhead was out a few years before Slipknot, and they even give SK credit for the resurgence in their music.. So anyone bitching etc. doesn't know the whole story.. Sid happens to be cool with them and has hung out with them a few times and even did something with one of Mushroomhead's side projects called 10,000 Cadillacs.
They have a lot of great songs. I would recommend checking out their albums XIII, Savior Sorrow, The Righteous and The Butterfly, and the compilation album XX.

Slipknot just have masks and crazy outfits. Mudvayne and Motograter have face paint, body paint, crazy outfits and zany hair. Mushroomhead has both masks, outfits and face paint.
Slipknot this, Mushroomhead vs. Slipknot that, jesus christ guys what similarities can you name in the bands? A dark atmosphere and aesthetic are all I think of. Otherwise they're rather different. Slipknot has rap influences (hence them being in the rapcore genre) while Mushroomhead has more of a machine sound (hence them being in the Industrial genre). They have very distinct sounds in the end. What's next, Mudvayne is in the feud too? How about Lordi and Gwar? You guys just going to squabble about every band with masks currently or in the past? Because it's clearly not the sound you give a damn about

I saw these guys live a few years ago, and this is one example of a band who is literally x100 better live. Their performance and showmanship is great.

I was there during both Mushroomhead and slipknot's birth. We true fans know that the "war" between the bands and fan was totally made up by the media. They just wanted to share there music for us to enjoy, simple as that.

I really can't help feel sorry for the people comparing Slipknot to this band. When I go on Slipknot videos I see absolutely no one comparing the bands or even talking about Mushroomhead for that matter (I'm sure if you dig deep on the millions of comments you'd see something but you get the idea). However, as soon as I come to the opposite, I see the same thing being spouted on every single song. It's sad because it diminishes and reduces what I believe to be a perfectly great band to simple comparison battle. The truth is Slipknot IS bigger worldwide and out of the two bands has found wider success. Yet this is not what solely makes band's great. If you're a fan of Mushroomhead then don't feed this subject as it only makes the band look worse as a result.

I love this band just as much as you guys, but the whole "feud" did start with Mushroomhead fans. It started with Mushroomhead fans throwing a padlock at Paul Gray, the bassist for Slipknot before he died in 2010. Why? Because of his mask. Both he and Pig Benis wore pig masks, but Paul didn't have a padlock going through its' nose. That's it, that's all there is to it. Both bands have respect for each other and there are even discussions about doing a tour together. So yes, it did start with Mushroomhead fans, and apparently Slipknot fans are trying to fight back, even though the fight ended about 10 years ago. I consider myself both a Slipknot and Mushroomhead fan and I would and could never hate either band. They're both great in their own right, and this bullshit just needs to stop. One side has to start, and even though, at large, Mushroomhead fans seem to be the most mature of the two, I think it's better for both parties if we just stop talking crap about Slipknot. Does this mean they will also stop? Not sure, but yes, they probably will. From the looks of it, Slipknot is already digging their own graves anyway and they're probably not going to be around for much longer.
I'm a bit older than most on YT, and had been away from music for some years "don't ask.. lol" I was just introduced to Slipknot, and now own every album, then I see Mushroomhead.. I think holyshit!! Theres a copycat band!! Until I listened to them, NOTHING Like Slipknot, but just as wicked.. Turns out That Mushroomhead was out a few years before Slipknot, and they even give SK credit for the resurgence in their music.. So anyone bitching etc. doesn't know the whole story.. I don't know about y'all but so far "Out of my Mind" is one of my favorites.. Any other suggestions to listen to?? It is MUSIC not a fucking Street gang.. People really can like and enjoy BOTH Bands Equally!!
Sid happens to be cool with them and has hung out with them a few times and even did something with one of Mushroomhead's side projects called 10,000 Cadillacs.
They have a lot of great songs. I would recommend checking out their albums XIII, Savior Sorrow, The Righteous and The Butterfly, and the compilation album XX.

Slipknot just have masks and crazy outfits. Mudvayne and Motograter have face paint, body paint, crazy outfits and zany hair. Mushroomhead has both masks, outfits and face paint.

Slipknot this, Mushroomhead vs. Slipknot that, jesus christ guys what similarities can you name in the bands? A dark atmosphere and aesthetic are all I think of. Otherwise they're rather different. Slipknot has rap influences (hence them being in the rapcore genre) while Mushroomhead has more of a machine sound (hence them being in the Industrial genre). They have very distinct sounds in the end. What's next, Mudvayne is in the feud too? How about Lordi and Gwar? You guys just going to squabble about every band with masks currently or in the past? Because it's clearly not the sound you give a damn about

I was there during both Mushroomhead and slipknot's birth. We true fans know that the "war" between the bands and fan was totally made up by the media. They just wanted to share there music for us to enjoy, simple as that.

I really can't help feel sorry for the people comparing Slipknot to this band. When I go on Slipknot videos I see absolutely no one comparing the bands or even talking about Mushroomhead for that matter (I'm sure if you dig deep on the millions of comments you'd see something but you get the idea). However, as soon as I come to the opposite, I see the same thing being spouted on every single song. It's sad because it diminishes and reduces what I believe to be a perfectly great band to simple comparison battle. The truth is Slipknot IS bigger worldwide and out of the two bands has found wider success. Yet this is not what solely makes band's great. If you're a fan of Mushroomhead then don't feed this subject as it only makes the band look worse as a result.

The reason why you don't see a lot of Mushroomhead fans on Slipknot videos is because unlike Slipknot fans that don't like Mushroomhead, most of the mushroomhead fans have the common decency to stay off of the videos of the band they don't like and enjoy the videos of the band they do like.

*****, not that i care to get into this. mushroom head was in negotation with the same studio as corey taylor, and turned down the contract with jeffery nothing of mushroom head asking them if they were wearing lipstick, as in if they were going to be kissed before they were fucked. a few months later a pig maks was seen worn by a member of slip knot, a causal connection with the member of mushroom head named pig benis, mushroom head sued and won based on image and blatant rip off, the suit was against the record company not slip knot. since then the bands have squashed the beef as should the fans. just to clear the air i really dont care just vgenting some facts. they are very different and both kick metal ass

I discovered Mushroomhead by being a bored 21 year old itching to spend money on some CDs in Walmart. XX and XIII were on the shelf. I bought them on the album art alone. Never looked back.
