  • Living out of a small Honda CRV is really tough. In the heat, it's even worse. I tried out the ENJOYCOOL portable outdoor air conditioner for a few weeks and I did my best to showcase a typical day camping and how my lifestyle was impacted.

I love my zero breeze it's the same size. U have to close off the front cab w curtain or something bring the hose through and have ur fan off rod to blow the air in ur direction. I keep mine in front passenger seat in a big tub w board like urs for any leakage. I have acrylic I made for the window and 2 tubes. It gets 65 in my car at the beach sat night. I'm going to Huguenot beach next week and will send pic of my AC setup.

Oh, that's great. I used Diane's zero breeze last summer and the power supply was so darn hot, no one could touch it. I used it on the battery for a while. It worked, but it's the size of those things that are the biggest issue. I'm hoping with my vehicle upgrade, I'll have more room for it and I can close off areas to keep it cool. Of course, I need power!!!

    1) my suggestion is to raise the window the exhaust goes out all the way to the top to the width of the exhaust tubing.
this way you are stopping the entry of most of the hot air coming thru with the window all the way down.
    2) re make your window cover to accommodate the tubes going out the top instead of the bottom.
    3) cover your other windows as well,
    4) utilize your little usb fans to circulate the air better.
    5) use the metal duct tape to fasten in the tubes more securely
    6) run the drip tube into a bottle and duct tape it so there are no accidental leaks. A/C draws moisture, there WILL BE water.

Make sure you have the both white hoses going outside the vehicle and the drain hose as well. Make a template from cardboard with two 3” holes and no gaps, then add the silver bubble wrap on the outside of the cardboard, if you have big gaps you are trying to air condition the outside that will never work well. Also a unit this small should be used only after sunset or at least in the shade.
If you just do these things this little AC will do great things. And make the your suv very cool

When I lived in the UK, ACs weren't as popular as they are now. I got a "portable" AC Unit, and while it was pretty good, it didnt move the air around the room as well as I think it should have. So, I set up a rotating fan in front of it that made it a KICK AZZ system! Maybe you can try that.
    EDIT:
I also made a wood cut out for the window. I lived is a very unique building which had very non-standard windows. The wood had enough weight I could rest the window on it and use soft foam (insulation) to add additional hole filling on the outside of the hose (I hope I explained that well).

My friend has one explore different directions. You have to roll the window all the way up and leave just enough room for the hoses to peek out. But you’re a window open all the way it’s gonna struggle and you’ll probably never get the car cooled off that way when it’s really hot. And then more vent to go out the side window, not the curved window in the front😁👍🏻👍🏻

Hun it aint going to cool off very goon unless you wrap some duct insulation around the hot air pipes. those pipes will defeat the purpose. plus you will have to put something like an insulated curtain to keep the heat from the motor from getting to the part you want cool. You may have to put some sort of a drip pan for the condensation to drip into. Bless Bob wells heart he was looking forward to AC also but he himself said those units like that are no good and he got sent a zero breeze..
