This era of Maiden is so underrated. So many damn good songs and even full albums that impressed me even when I was 15 years old during the early 2000s.
Their latter half may not be their classic sound, but it’s still classic. Honestly, this is THE song that hooked me on Maiden, with Aces High being a close second, then probably The Wickerman. I didn’t know anything about Maiden, but wanted to check them out. And here we are.
I’m not sure if I agree with you. I love this era of Iron Maiden. This song is one of my favourite, and it looks very well known

It's obvious that neither Dave, Adrian nor Janick could play this style of guitar BUT as good as this guitarist is, I doubt he can write the music those can. No disrespect to this guitarist, he's fabulous and I love listening to his covers but they are just that, covers written by great songwriters (the guys in Maiden obviously).
