Another very valuable tutorial from this mechanic for those including me that want to tackle this element of work and need someone like this gentleman to help guide them on our way, I am particularly impressed with you impression of a human octopus @ 1:24:00 using hands and a foot to get the job done. I am under no illusions that this element of work he makes look easy due to his skills and familiarity with each vehicle he works on and his fitness too, and I note he moves around the underside of the van like a thoroughbred greyhound. But on a much more practical and serious note I will use this tutorial to refer to every step of the way when I have enough time to do the same job on my Caddy. Again thank you for sharing your knowledge with us also I applaud you on your filming & editorial skills also.

Great camera work in atrocious weather but what happened to the old clutch plates on the first two cars. I wait in anticipation to see how bad the clutch is before your called Kevin. Keep up the sterling work bud.👏👍

The flywheel on the caddy looked like it needed replacing as well. Doing my 2010 caddy in a couple of weeks, I’ll have your last caddy video loaded on my iPad for reference. Half the views on that video are probably from me 😁
I suppose it might be an option at some point. But at the moment I’ve gotten so comfortable to being uncomfortable that anything more comfortable might infringe on the discomfort.
The ring is a common fault on the solid mass, it gets chewed up by starter due to the stop/start technology . So instead of buying a complete flywheel. Replacing the ring is now an option. I’m noticing more on most euro 6 VW’s the dual mass is being phased out

Have VW done away with the DMF , you changed the starter ring but the flywheel didn’t look like it was a Dual mass , cheers
