Game just feels so much more engaging and fun when you run lightweight build with some form of melee weapon. My favorite imo is the dagger and chainsaw
same, on most of my playthroughs on PC (had completed NG+++ on my PS5 before) I used a lightweight closer range stagger build with a zimmerman and melee weapon, I switched to a dual minigun stun needle tank build when I found a boss I struggled with (5+ attempts if it felt like I was not making much progress) but I did most of the game with that one build only making minor tweaks, I landed on the needle gun and zimmerman for my right arm and back, with some sort of missile on my left back and the moonlight sword until I unlocked the coral version. it's just such an engaging playstyle to build up stagger with the shotgun and missiles, maintain it with the pistol and then once something is staggered unleash the melee weapon on it
That stacks ACS relatively quickly, nice build. I don't have the brain power to keep up with weapon swaps mid-fight so I just.... spam beam pistols with with vert missile pressure and pray I deal enough damage before the overheat 😂
I can tell the generator is definitely Ling-Tai based on how much EN the AC consumes when quick boosting as i have the same one on one of my lightweight builds, as for FCS im gonna take a shot in the dark here but im guessing either Ocellus or Abbot since this build heavily relies on close quarter combat
@@Zenslayer666you got it (and I'm using the Ocellus FCS). The hardest thing about using the Ling-Tai was figuring out a synergetic weapon combo since the thing has such a huge EN cap.
For those who dont know, when defending the dam complex, ravens entry vector is consistent every run. If you can line it up, and time it right, you just OB > AA right before he kicks you for the stun> pile drive for the easy one shot
Nightfall was a fantastic pilot that was really just held back by garbage equipment lol. If they got a more modern load-out then I could've seen it being more of a challenge.
Yeah exactly my thoughts you don't exactly see anybody running around with a starter AC being a challenge except for wildcat from gen 1 and NX like come on
@@FauxRegard As someone with a habit of making small improvements to NPC ACs, Nightfall really needed some work. Using the Ling Tai generator on a midweight build, and having the P10 booster means it has very mediocre speed, and no EN to boost with. And using the weaker 6 cell dual missile and a poor missile FCS makes it's left shoulder slot little more than dead weight. To make it usable I put in a Ming Tang, a P06SPD, an FCS with better missile lock stat, and swapped to the better 6 missile dual launcher (it does more damage per missile and can lock to 6 targets instead of 3, and fires shots 1 after the other making it harder to fully avoid). It's significantly faster, with way better EN management and a little more firepower. It's rare that I make changes to NPC ACs and the only loss is the recharge delay. Comparing Nightfall's massive flaws with Lockpick (Freud) or Steel Haze (Rusty), which are at most slightly unoptimised, really makes you wonder how Raven managed to be the menace that they were (it's obviously a combination of sheer force of will, the Songbird and Pile Bunker)
Its got a very fast initial hit, if you dont commit to the second you can jump out basically instantly so you don’t get punished. Crazy good recharge too. The super duper gross secret sauce to make it good? Tank legs. You don’t stop when you use it if you’re on treads.
Absolutely. I still think it's the hardest AC game that FromSoft ever made. Once I finish everything with AC6 I planned on going back to LR and doing the Zinaida path again 😬

I duno, I just find it funny that people post videos of fighting NPCs in this game like its some kind of accomplishment. The AI is god awful. I ran a train through the entire second and third set of Arena opponents and was barely touched. I think I won every game in a row too. If youre not doing pvp its really not worth showing gameplay cuz thats the only time its actually challenging beyond the first playthrough where its only hard because youre limited on builds
Never claimed it was an accomplishment. It was fun and entertaining so I posted it. You can feel free to post PvP exclusive content to your own channel and I'll continue doing what I want with mine.
