    Thank you, Christina. Many many year ago, in my first trip to USA, the rental car shop was the worst experience to me. But, in a few days, I understand why the rental car shop didn't accept my credit card insurance.

  • @harrytran1874
    @harrytran1874 Před 3 lety

    In 2020 California taxes up to 9.25 %. The car rental asking you stick ( Stick Shaft \ manual ) or auto ? They adding gas fee, late fee when you driving off the lot. Also they asking you gas or EV or PHEV ? They asking you are you going out of state ? If you said yes they asking you to leave the vehicle in out of state same company rental car in they state.

    8:46 I notice the word "obligatory" (an easy one, for French speakers). Any difference with 'compulsory'?

    • @linguild-enavantlanglais2591
      @linguild-enavantlanglais2591 Před 5 lety

      Both mean the same thing but with very slight differences. With "obligatory" you have this sort of moral obligation (a matter of conscience, something that is expected of you), which is something you don't have with the word "compulsory".
      So "obligatory" is used to talk about something that is not required but has become common, an expected part of something.
      "Mandatory" is the most common and least formal.
      Note that "obligatory" is often used to talk about rules and laws relating to safety.
      You also have another synonym : "mandatory" which turns out to be the word of choice in a legal context.

    I wish I could go to the US with my family but I am stuck here. All this could have been settled very quickly but for some reasons all my attempts to get documents, advices, even to got away from electrosensibility zone are stopped. Once again I could not receive the documents I have been asking for several years, just a little part. On the one hand, some people can dirty your reputation, your appartment by telling rubbish on you. On the other hand, they can go on living as if they are gentle people while you are struggling for your rights.
    I have given a lot of my free time for people around, worked on many projects to help them, given a lot of cloths, toys to associations, hospitals, learn how to make first aid movements to care for people while waiting for the urgencies to come, given my blood when it was possible and still be treated with my family as a piece of nothing.
    Life isn't beautiful ?

    Last Week a guy came to my place. The second time I was in and opened the door as I insisted. He wanted to sell the internet fiber. I told him about all the difficulties with the internet supplier with the box, with the phone, I guess. I even probably told him about electrosensibility which has conséquences on my health. At the end, he answered the offer was only for people who are customers of the competitors. However, I very often receive offers from them.
    I asked him to tell all of this to his management. Until now, I have no news from there.
    Before he left, he asked me if I believe in God. I don't know why ?

  • @magalic6635

    Anyway, Santa Claus will come like every year. I feared they will postpone it because of the lockdown. I am joking, of course. Have you already made up your minds about the presents ? It seems that a lot of people will buy their gifts on internet and that they will be delivered to their house. Almost every order I have made on internet failed. Products broken. My regular supermarket for years delivered rotten products and so on.
    So that, I don't know exactly what I will do when I will be in better shape.
    What about you ?

    I understand this is for alternate languages but why do you keep pronouncing your “t’s” on the end of words really weirdly? The same with wife. You keep seeing wifa. Is there a reason for this?! 🤣
