Listening to all types of music for well over 50 year's and this is one of those fantastic times that, by chance,I find something really special. My ears think they won the lottery! Beautiful piece of music!

First time I ever came across David Keenan was at Other Voices in Dingle a few years ago. As someone who was used to appreciating only to the best of music for 50 years, I was dumbfuunded by what I was listening to, unable to grasp it. What an extraordinary, totally original musician.
John Martyn, John Smith, Liam Ó Maonlaí, Paul Brady, Richard Thompson....all rolled into 1 blend of superbness..actually, no, just David Keenan..great stuff!!!
He stands alone and is fantastic in his own right tbh though you have mentioned many other greats

That would be amazing. I think David is equelly as tallented. I saw him support Hozier in Germany. He blew me away.
Found this guy on a mahogany session by accident bloody hell now I just need to buy me some tickets to see him live . Long live youtube I'd wait a long time to hear about him on commercial mainstream radio !

It's rare that you come across someone with a genuinely unique approach to music. This is certainly as unique - and incredibly moving - as it gets!

Hi David, I really enjoyed your set, supporting Richard Thompson last Thursday. Your singing and songs are great and your guitar sound was as full as that of a whole band. I'm sorry it was so quiet an audience. We are a sedate lot in Richmond. I did want to let out a loud "Whoooohooooo" but was a bit shy and didn't want to be the first! I would have done one of those loud whistles too but can't seem to do them so instead clapped loudly with the odd "yeah!". Anyway really great music and I will be very happy to pay to see you as headliner when you come round again.
