About Mila , she has showing us nothing but sweetness and effort in reviewing Sézane in such and knowledgeable way and yes , for most of us she looks great and classy and elegant on Sezane pieces . I’m not American, but you’re clearly not smart enough to tell. lol Most Americans I know are so slim and fit though, you’d be surprised. We all have space in the fashion world, no matter what size you wear. It’s 2024 and about time to change this silly mindset. Sézane sizing ranges from xxs to xxl in case you haven’t noticed (and I wear mostly 36😅). At least changing our clothes size is easier than changing the ugliness people like you have on the inside. I read on a Facebook group, one sezanette (Sam) , she said “The "jute" smell coming from this top is a binding agent used in baskets or other materials that need support before they are "put" together. As you can see up close, before you can sew the knitting threads in place, this was most probably placed in a pattern or guide to make the design swirls and twirls or whatever they call it). Then the binding agent is either sprayed or brushed (most likely sprayed). Once this set, then you can sew it.
The care instructions indicates that it should be washed at or below 30-on the website. However, on the tag, it also indicates Dry Cleaning and Do not Tumble Dry. This means you must be cautious. It's best to hand wash very gently because this top is very delicate.” Just sharing her knowledge. I found it was very helpful.

I hope that’s what it is. It was the same exact smell from certain clothes I used to get from SHEIN years ago (not jute though, mostly coats, tops, pants and shoes). A strong smell like mold 🥲 I have purchased quite a few pieces from Sézane in this composition/similar woven fabric, crochet - none of them ever smelled like this, so I was surprised. As for washing, because this is a small piece and so lightweight, I’d do it by hand like I wash my delicate knits. Whenever they say “dry clean”, I wash by hand (unless it’s a bulky piece). I just soak the garment in lukewarm water with the appropriate detergent (silk, wool, delicate..) and then I rinse and make sure to squeeze the water in a towel, reshape it and let it air dry

Great video! The set looks amazing on you! I washed the Ron vest and used fabric softener. I washed it buttoned up so it doesn't lose its shape. I towel dried it, reshaped it and let it dry flat as i do with wool knits but i feel it doesn't need that much pampering 😂. The fabric softener made it a bit softer to the touch but it is still rather structured. I think it's meant to be like that. I think they are one of the most unique Sezane pieces and really hope they restock them so more people can try them.
Love the pieces you chose! I also have the Noelis cardigan in burgundy and the arm holes on mine are not more on the middle and not so on the elbow! Loved the chiara and matching jacket!

They’re the best suede pants I’ve tried from Sézane 😍 really like the fit and the style. The camel ones are more wearable, but I do love this burnt orange shade too! 🧡

Thank you for the video! I have to say that I am more tempted by the Noelia cardigan after seeing it on you: sometimes it's kind of hard to see what things look like on the Sezane website.
I was so bummed to have missed the Ron top - I was early but I kept looking for it in the Tops section and didn’t realize it was in the knit section (I should have searched by name I know). Why can’t they just have one page with all the new arrivals? Lol. But after seeing your review I’m not as bummed. Thanks for always being honest with us! Edit: you picked up all the same pieces I was interested in! Totally agree that the Claire top is great for larger busted girls. I wish they had made a matching skirt too like the older colors!

@Moniquenicole17 Sezane said once that notifications work only when they restock an item because they made more and not when it's back because of customer returns. I think your best chance is to log in every day around 9 am French time and start refreshing until around 9.20 am. Perhaps they add customer returns on the other two time slots for the US.

Lovely video Mila! I got the Ron top and the Noelia cardigan in both colors. I am going to return the cardigans though, I didn't like the red color on me, I hoped it was more like a burgundy color but it isn't, and I am not crazy about the white one either cause I have other beautiful Sézane lace tops. But I am definitely keeping the Ron top! It is gorgeous and so unique! The smell was really bad and I was shocked cause Sézane orders always smell lovely. But I hand-washed it with a gentle detergent and the smell is gone!
Oh lucky you! I love Ron too despite the weird smell 😂 it was gone after a few days out of the box, but I’m still going to wash it. Did yours get a little softer after you washed? As for Noelia, I feel the same way, the white is beautiful but I have Marietta jumper and a few other ecru knits that are just as pretty. Not crazy about the “burgundy” either 🫠
Funny you said about the smell. For me it was with the Loulou trousers in black. They smelled so bad I had to return them. It was the acetate.... I was very disappointed for the fabric at that price point. I am still in the look for the perfect light weight black pants

Have you ever tried on any shorts? I’m looking at the Rome shorts.. and my measurements are very similar to yours. The paperbag waist A-line thigh is the most flattering for pear shapes..

Interesting to hear/read the comments on the Ron top. I didn't notice a bad smell at all...I've just given it another sniff and all I can smell is a generous helping of the Sezane fragrance. Perhaps they were trying to disguise the original smell 😂
😂😂😂 that could have been the reason! It took a few days but now the smell is all gone too. I heard that from so many people though, not sure what happened here 🤪 I’m glad you didn’t experience that though, it was a weird mold smell 🫠

Hi Mila, I odered the Hortense Shirt with the flowets. It smelled horrible. I was almost gone send it back. I washed it and now it is ok. But you are right, Sezane should do something about it. Tschau Petra
My Ron tops smelled terrible too! It's a distinct mildew smell :/ I've had lots of other jute things, and it's not a jute smell - it smells exactly like an old kitchen sponge that needs to be thrown out. I ordered two Ron tops to compare sizes, and returned both because of the smell (and the thought of mildew grossed me out). The other two pieces in my order didn't stink! I'm guessing that moisture got into the batch of Ron tops in shipping/storage.
I also had the same impressions as you on the Noelia vest, the ecru one looks much more delicate.

Thank you my love ❤️ Sézane says to size up if you’re in between sizes. The 4 would have been perfect for my waist but 6 is best for my hips. My green Martin is also 6, slightly roomy but better than too tight xx usually when cottons/linen shrink, they mold to your body again after first wear. I would let them air dry and not put in the dryer

It was so hard to capture the real color! It’s definitely not that muted red like the website shows, but also not a super bright orange. It’s a true burnt orange/rust in real life. 🧡❤️
Mila, one request, you wear a lot of suede jackets. Do they rub on a white blouse, means, do you got small pills of leather on the white blouse? I gave a suede blazer away because of this. Would be great, if you could comment on this in one of your next videos. Thanks Petra
Unfortunately, in my case I had to send back almost 70% of what I ordered from the Milano and Roma collections. They either didn't suit my body type or the pieces were disappointing. Most of what I wanted had sold out anyway. The best things I got this spring were from their more classic styles such as Kyle, Eponine shirt, Hugo parka, etc I think Sezane should stick to the tried and tested classic style that works for them and for us.
Mila, is it possible to wear the Claire blouse the back to front or would that make it too low cut?

On the Ron top: the stiffness and smell can be due to a finisher such as starch or spray sizing so that the garment will keep its shape until sold. I think the best solution is to wear a top underneath like the black one you show. Don't forget that true cardigans were designed to be worn over a shirt. You are right in that the holes make the cherry sweater look out of balance. Sorry, the rust colored pants are ugly. I guess it would depend on your skin tone, but it does look more Fall than Spring.
