    This made my day opening up to see this!

    This was a fun way to show off an older commander and honor a patron request

    Every time someone scoops, Horobi wails a little louder.
    It was great seeing a unique commander in action. Thanks for the upload! ❤

    I'm hoping this video does well cause as cool as the newer commanders are, the older ones like Horobi or something like Prossh has way more charm and are way more fun to see played out imo.

      @tribalkai  Před rokem +3

      I’ve played Prossh and people complained it was too strong. You basically can’t win :)

    I love my horobi deck. Ive had it since he came out in kamigawa. It turns a lot of heads and causes so many misplays. People dont realize just how much targeting they do so horobi is so much fun.

    • @tribalkai
      @tribalkai  Před rokem

      Yeah it really does make you aware of all the cards you can’t play when you build this deck.

    Great game. It was quite funny that the Killian player was expecting to draw the game only to lose.
    I watch and enjoy all of your games.

      Yeah the Killian player got what he deserved there.

    I'm totally down to see old commanders! If anything, you get the chance to "modernize" older commanders with newer cards in the 99.

    Love seeing older commanders! I honestly tuned out of new mtg after Eldraine/Ikoria so seeing older cards would definitely make me click.

    Honestly I'd like to see more patron decks just because it sounds convenient. Especially if they're mono black decks lol

    Targeted land destruction I’d expect at a casual table. Mass land destruction not so much. Clearing all the lands and the scooping was rude.

    • @tribalkai
      @tribalkai  Před rokem

      Absolutely. Spot removal on lands is a must for Canal Coffers etc.
      I’d always expect to see cards like Demolition Field, Generous Gift and Beast Within in a casual deck.

    Hey nice niche commander pick, I always considered to build this commander but since I only play in paper with my homies, and they told me that they would hate to play against it, i never built Horobi. :) Gotta play something that everyone enjoys when you are with the boys.
    Nevertheless I love your content, always refreshing to see the your builds. I wanted to ask, what's your definition of "casual"?
    At home (paper magic with my best friends), we decided against massive land destruction, except you use it in a very splashy and instantly winning manner.
    In my pod Mana crypt, Ancient Tomb, Urborg and Cabal Coffer, Vampiric Tutor, Demonic Tutor are all banned, so I personally don't consider them as casual.
    Best regards from austria!
    The early scoop was sad :(

    Love Horobi. i wish there were a non targeting way to make him indestructible in mono black.

  • @mrdjuggernaut
    @mrdjuggernaut Před rokem

    I don’t have a problem with mass land destruction in a casual game as long as they have a way to win.

    I feel like you couldve saved the tutor and used sol ring to play liquimetal and then nights whisper with the torque and the one black 🤷🏻

    • @tribalkai
      @tribalkai  Před rokem +1

      Yeah could’ve done. But my way guaranteed land drops and I knew I was going for Necro to refill my hand anyway. I just needed to guarantee that 3 black mana as soon as possible to catch up.

  • @Valdreag17

    Anyone who plays Divine Judgement considers that card leading to a draw as a win.

    • @tribalkai

      It’s an achievement unlocked I suppose but it’s certainly not a win.

      You obviously don’t play MTGO. Everyone has these cards in their decks because they’re cheap. It’s unusual to see a Diabolic Tutor.

    I enjoyed the content but Mana Crypt and Necro in a 'casual' game is a bit much no? Feels like this match was a pubstomp

    • @tribalkai
      @tribalkai  Před rokem +1

      It’s the Magic Online meta so everyone has mana crypt as it costs a dollar. I also had to mull down to 4. Plus the opponent playing MLD had a turn 1 Sol Ring.
      I don’t know how you see this game and think it’s a pubstomp. I didn’t wipe the lands.
      I do have to be able to compete with your typical MTGO player though. And that means playing some strong (and very affordable) cards.

    • @curtissmith2815
      @curtissmith2815 Před rokem

      @@tribalkai MLD is casual tho. Unfriendly, but casual. It wasn't a dig. But imagine you're the other player watching you play Necro and MC. Your deck was casual but very high power to the point were nothings really off limits. Casual isn't by definition friendly
