- Hello everyone I plan to do a Malazan book club read-along. If you are interested subscribe and I will be coming out with further details soon!
If you are a Malazan expert and are interested in either being a cohost or helping break down chapter splits my email is below.

Feel free to send an email with Malazan in the subject, and we can correspond. For a cohost, I would prefer a book tuber but that is not required.

I'm very excited for this, you can count me in! I've been subbed and waiting for this since your video on series you want to read. Also, the correct way to pronounce Malazan is with the emphasis on the second syllable, but Erikson is a proponent for letting people pronounce things however they prefer.
Perfect I'll try to pronounce it correctly then now that I know! My hope is to start the first week of November but I'll have to get some detail together first
I just finished the main series a few weeks ago, and am not *entirely* sure what happened. So I was already planning on a re-read. Now I can read with you đđ»
Perfect timing! I am sure I will be just as confused since it is my first read through đ
Thatâs probably around the time I will finish the main ten so it would be great to start a reread. I could always read some of the other malazan books at the same time if I feel itâs not fast enough for me.
I'm not the fastest reader we will be taking our time. Maybe a book a month, but hopefully it times up perfectly for your reread!
@@TheMarshMedia Iâm a pretty fast reader but malazan books take me a lot longer to read than normal ones and that only got more pronounced the further in I got . I read gotm in like 4-5 days and book 8 took me a bit over a month. Not because it was a slog or worse or anything but because itâs something I just want to think about after every chapter and really soak in, itâs now my favourite book I have ever read but I really did take my time with it. Book 9 I will probs finish in 25 days which will only be a bit quicker too since I have been doing like a chapter a day. If you are doing a book a month I would suggest a chapter a day too on average as that usually leaves it off on a good point as erikson doesnât really like cliffhangers. There are some chunky chapters in the series so that might not always be possible after all even though the book of the fallen part of malazan is 3.3 million words there is only about 250 chapters while wheel of time has 700 chapters for 4.3million words.
