  • Stand-On Leaf Blower. FERRIS FB2000 Hurricane Debris Blower. Clearing Fall leaves off the Driveway - Part 2.
    Out for another run on the FERRIS FB2000 Hurricane Commercial Debris Blower to finish up the rest of the driveway through the forest. This time, I take the opportunity to try different discharge chute settings and different speeds. This is one efficient piece of equipment. It makes short work of what is normally a very long process. I also take it through my walking trails in the forest. Hope you will join me here at the cottage, in the outdoors. Cheers!

    Boy that driveway looks good cleaned up like that. Almost could justify the 10k spent on that machine in saving driveway maintanance $$$ over years. I would hope they make a residential one for about half the cost one day. I use my Gravely 52 inch pro turn mower as a leading/grass/debris blower at the moment, works well, definitely not as powerful, but gets it done. Price on it was $6k so I'd hope they could get a residential one of these together for around $4k-5k maybe without the chute adjust that I'm sure drives up the cost in technical parts. Another good vid GP! 👍

    @tractorman4461 Před 3 lety +1

    Other that looking a bit bumpy while going over rough surfaces, it looks to be a fun way to deal with the huge quantity of those pesky leaves GP.
    By restricting the opening, the air velocity is increased and the system operates at a higher static pressure because its actually moving slightly less air. The increased speed of the air combined with having the ability to direct it at a specific location at a higher pressure is what's allowing you the 'precision' leaf removal you describe. At least that's the theory of changing duct sizes down the main trunk line... except there shouldn't leaves in your ductwork....LOL Sorry about the carrying on but you know how an old HVAC tech is....LOL Fun video sir, and may I say your visitor was nice surprise !!

      Maybe he has some type of bear spray but he has never shown it if he does . Now for carrying a firearm . We in Canada are not allowed to carry a side arm . Even if you had a 1000 acres you cannot carry a side arm on your property . The only place to legally shoot a side arm is at a Registered Gun Club . It could take years to wait and join a gun club .The other option is to carry a shot gun or a rifle which is kind of awkward while operating machinery in the bush . I'm sure that many people carry a side arm way back in the bush on their property for protection but they are not going to advertise it on You Tube in Canada . You can shoot a 30.06 rifle on your property but you can't shoot a 22cal hand gun . Figure that one out .

My Cabin is on 80 acres of forest a 1 acre lawn 2.5 miles of trails 3.5 acres of food plots. And I see no need to process fall leaves other than during mowing and this doesn't hinder these areas. Unless you want a tidy look to your property spend your money and time else ware.
