- It's almost all the ways to lose from the 1991 VGA remake of the classic adult-adventure game "Leisure Suit Larry in the Land of the Lounge Lizards", the PC (MS-DOS) version.
EDIT (2021): A missing loss has been found, so check it out here:
• Leisure Suit Larry 1 V...
There was a fail video from almost a decade ago, but it's incomplete. So I figure I'd fill in the blanks.
Some of the deaths have been placed together as they either feature the same message or lead to the "Larry being reformed" cutscene.
I only showed one example of the bankrupt death, as I feel it gets the point across. I could've gone in depth finding all the possible ways, but unless there's something different with the text when you hand them your last bit of money (besides the "you're now penniless" message and the Restore/Restart/Quit pop-up afterwards), it's not worth the hassle.
The same goes for the car and alley deaths, as all the locales feature this, though for the former, I at least showcase all the vehicles that can run over you.

I love how the bouncer at the Disco club just stands there and watches the cabbie beat Larry up without even the slightest reaction.
20:06 In the original EGA version, Larry kills himself by shooting himself in the head with a handgun. There is also an animated sun rising above his head with a smiling face 🌞 as he does it. Dark humour, indeed!
What's interesting is that someone has ripped Larry's sprites, in there is a set where he pulls out a gun, shoots himself in the head, getting the burnt head sprite seen in some deaths...then putting the gun away.
So maybe they originally planned on having him do it like the EGA version, but scrapped it due to thinking it was too dark?
@@commanderproton7763It shoulda stayed. But that’s how the cookie crumbles
The sun is a sadist.
@@commanderproton7763 That was considered going too far? Where is the line drawn here?
this is art, it leaves something to the imagination, modern technology has no limits so everything is overdone, the remaster of this absolutely destroyed the whole gritty low down and dirty tongue in cheek feel of it with its cluttered scenes and clean cartoon graphics. Far too contrived.
This is technically not a death scene, but the cab ride charges I believe are randomized. There is one unlucky ride where you drive for a long time and the driver charges you a very high amount where you probably can't afford.
Probably not worth talking about but there is one more shoplifting death. You might notice near the counter that the convenience store has your brand of breath spray. Use up your breath spray (10 uses) then you can buy some more, or get shot trying to steal it.
I honestly didn't know you can run out of breath spray. I assumed it was unlimited but then again I beat the game before I use up the last bit of the breath spray. When I get the chance, I'll record a small clip of it and post it separate from this video.
13:09 - after many-many years I learned something new. I didn't know you can walk right here and get to an alley screen, I though he'll go into the back of Lefty's. By the way, in LSL:Reloaded he doesn't to up when you tell him to go but leaves the screen to the right which is totally wrong.
Also, I didn't know you can smash the slot machines with the hammer
Wow I also never knew that
Betting the magnet from Space Quest 1 VGA wouldn't have flown here either if Larry has that.
Is it just me or would the hotel have kicked Larry out the next morning for non-payment long before he died while tied to the bed?
Normally yes but the staff is probably negligent to care plus Larry's bad luck tendencies don't help either.
Well, Larry is (technically) STILL A VIRGIN the next morning anyway, so he's dead either way.
But he did pay for the room. Well Fawn paid for it with Larry's money. It was $200 a night.

Playing this game lets you work off your bad car-ma.
Is it just me or is Larry crying in the end messages where he goes to jail.
The alley death is really weird in this one.
He uses his demonic phantom double to murder Larry.
This is a really shitty remake. I prefer the 1987 DOS remake for the AGI w/ EGA.
No, it's not, i mean, yes This version have some CUT content, but is better than original.
