Thanks for the video and the source. One thing to add, a light kit! MOPAR PN 04565022 is the light/switch kit that fits in the odd shaped hole, upper left corner on the new glove box insert. The required plug is already in place behind the glove box, mine was taped to a dash support. Just make sure to route the wire up over the dash support so you have enough slack. The switch pops into place, plug clicks into the back, now your new glove box has a light when you open it!!
This is great, seems like you find the truck you want with all the options, color, wheels, elc and then you see it has the open glove box and you want the closed one. Makes me search a little easier.
100% agree... I'd love to get myself a 2500 Power Wagon as a next truck: but then I discovered that theres' the TRADESMAN with the POWER WAGON package that costs about 10000 $ less... And it's basically a POWER WAGON, mechanically speaking. Then, once you own it, you see the features you REALLY need and you can upgrade it as you prefer.
Depends on the stuff you want. But, yes, buying a lower trim level and loading it up yourself can save you money. However, when you go to sell the truck that extra value doesn’t affect resale or trade in value
That's what I've done. Not saying my truck didn't have options but definitely not everything I wanted/needed. For my work I need a lot of light. Normally working very late or extremely early in rural areas.. so I've added many interior and exterior lights.. nice thing is all rams use same wiring harnesses...so if u dig around youll find unused plugs...like the footwell lights for example. Just need to buy the lights and the wiring is all there for you.. I've literally modified everything on my 2014 it's pretty much maybe a 2020 or 2019ish. even the entertainment center and screen has been changed out to a 10.4 inch. Probably 8 grand in upgrades I've done or had done... wheels tires etc were the most costly...and snorkel assembly is about 600 something for my model. All lights changed to led interior and exterior. Needed to keep mind off of my mother's passing...so I focused on adding everything I could think of. It worked. 😊 good luck on future mods! I'm addicted but running out of ideas 💡 lol
@@gladioalato Have you seen the newest ones that have the offroad packages? there's 3 different grades. they're pretty nice, doing a lot of work for you instead of having to do aftermarket upgrades. there's probably close to 10 grand in upgrades in suspension tires to make it off road ready. skid plates...winch etc.. more aggressive lights and bumpers and other rarely used exterior color options for like 500 bucks more.. which is cool.
Great video, thanks for documenting the process. BTW do you have a video showing how to adjust the key fob to unlock only the driver's door with one click and all the doors with two clicks?
Me Me They charged you $50 for a glove box? Lol! It's a better deal than eBay but still a ripoff. I got mine out of a destroyed 3500 for 20 bucks. Also got the head unit out of it for 75.
Where did u buy this? Sorry I didn't watch full video yet if mentioned. I keep looking and cannot find them for some reason. I'm doing something wrong lol. This small area is useless to me as is and stuff falls out constantly. Irritating. Definitely gonna do this once I find one haha
Guillermo Ortiz I was considering that same thing but the problem is that the factory radio controls your suspension settings during anytime you have to get towed. Also controls your exterior lights settings, horn settings and probably other things. That made me forget about aftermarket. What I will do instead is upgrade the screen size with a company that sells the larger screen and I believe it maintains your ability to control the car settings that I mentioned. I need to ask them. Check out: Infotainment.com
changchung I have enjoyed this upgrade very much and to have a nice looking dash and closed storage was worth it! See, my truck didn’t come with one and to each their own on to get one or not lol. May cost a little Yes but worth it for me to share it. After a closer look the cable doesn’t run off like you mentioned, but still won’t slow you down.
Justin Schwimmer Go to any Dodge dealer it’s nothing special. This is literally just the parts from A higher class ram and just purchase it for yours and put it in
you can look in junk yards or parts-lots if you are hunting for a savings but it was easy to spend the money on mine as it was determined purely on the benefits of having a clean look, secured belongings and keeping nosy people out of my business. To each their own on how much you can to spend, easier on the pocket book for sure.
How much material in this thing? $10-15 maybe + labor, shipping and handling + dealers profit= max $100. So why the hell is almost $300?! There is a used Laramie badge one for sale on eBay for $275!! Are people crazy? I hope he'll never sell it!
You can go to your local dodge dealer these are nothing special. And don’t forget if you’re a Chrysler employee you get 25% off list on all purchase price

I just installed this today and mine is missing the light, thank you this. Saved me a bunch of headache

Best thing is get a plan Jane truck and then order the parts you want. A lot cheaper then buying as a package
tcss4 exactly what I did

Nice video, glove box looks great.
A worthy mod besides colored lights and air filters. Going to order one for mine!
karl28560 lol... Air filters do nothing. Stick to OEM air filters.
Thanks for the video, I almost had the dealer do this for me. even though my friend is a tech there its still cheaper going this route.
I just bought the hood light kit and come with the light for the upper glob box. It will go in the uper left hole.
Nice look im for.sure getting this on my truck
Nice.. just made my decision to go with a Express instead of Big Horn..thank you sir
Thanks for the video, helped me decide on one.
Nice job man , appreciate the video!
Joey Kostenbader thanks

Super Argo unfortunately I do not have a video at this time. It’s been a while since I’ve posted and that looks like something good to video about!
I'm curious why you didn't use the light for the glove box? Isn't it pre wired for that?
I got mine used from junkyard looks brand new for $50.00.

What junkyard has newer rams? Most places have wrecked stuff from the early 2000’s
He has a hellcat style roots blower for ram
They gave me the second glove box on my 16 but no cabin filter
thanks bro
"Waco 100" :) Well hello there fellow waconian lol Thanks for the vid.

Brother.. you thought about upgrading the radio to aftermarket pioneers or somthing similiar?

so 2017's don't have a upper box anymore?
Nice add but very expence. Btw. You can release the cable. Dont go anywhere

8908Darrick you are right. I will try to search in junk yards for a cheap one...
Steve white is awesome
Mopar onlineparts.com has these as well. Plan on buying the steering wheel audio controls soon from them 👍
Can you post a link to for the glove box that you got
Justin Schwimmer I gotcha a link in the comments

Hi, Derrick. I'm doing pretty Good, how about yourself? *continues watching video*...
Of course I just bought a used 2017 and hate the open hole glove box ! Cannot find one under 200 bucks!!
you can look in junk yards or parts-lots if you are hunting for a savings but it was easy to spend the money on mine as it was determined purely on the benefits of having a clean look, secured belongings and keeping nosy people out of my business. 👍👍
Where one ebay did you find the kit??
Mike Mills I bought it on EBay, stevewhitemotors sells them. Be sure and send a message with your VIN # so that he can match your interior color.
I found it on ebay but it's $250 or more....rip off!
Just go to your Ram dealer literally just parts from a bighorn Ram
Wheres the link to buy this ?.
Good job buddy, good folks over at Steve Whites
I think you forgot to put the screw back in on the under side of the dash. Good video though.

You forgot to disconnect the wire lamp
harness and insert it to to inside of the
glove box to light up as you open your
upper glove box...
That is additional part cause the upper glove box kit doesn't come with the light kit
You can go to your local dodge dealer these are nothing special. And don’t forget if you’re a Chrysler employee you get 25% off list on all purchase price
Your local dealer sells them for double what ebay sells em for
Need for 2006
300 damn dollars is the average price on ebay. I'll just duct tape a piece of cardboard and paint it gray, LOL.
John Fontenot you very well could do that lol
John Fontenot now that’s my kind of economic conservatism ideals simple yet cost effective
Hopefully this link works

Well heres the first problem, it's not a Cummins you bought a ram with out a cummins?? Why even buy a Ram if it doesnt have a Cummins
Tool Craze because hemis
Cuz not everyone needs a diesel
@@blackraven8841 if you dont need a diesel then you dont need a 3/4 ton truck
Tool Craze why so? Towing with a 6.4 liter hemi should do just fine.
Man quit yuck in me to death and get on with the video.😣
Nice video, glove box looks great.
