Such an incredibly diverse band. Can go from sparse, quiet, and moving, to completely face-melting on a dime. Also: I think it's okay to like both Blixa and Warren. And Mick, for that matter. All of them made great contributions, but I also love how they have evolved over the years. I have tickets to see them this summer - can't wait.

I think Warren Ellis is a genius. I've never wanted to learn how to play the violin before in my life prior to hearing his work. All the completely haunting soundtrack stuff he and Nick Cave do together? Dirty Three? Yes. Oh my yes.
Such an amazing performance. I love the way the people in the crowd got so into it and how there were various ages appreciating the amazing Nick Cave! A great example where a great crowd can make a big difference.
Thanks so much for posting this. The venue is beautiful. I love all the light bulbs strung around the stage. Fantastic lighting idea. The performance was fierce. I saw this show at the Warfield Theater in San Francisco. Had no idea it would be the last with Mick. Thanks again.
Warren Ellis added THE best thing to the band musically. The much-needed new genius has given much to the bad seeds and inspired Nick to greater heights. Instrumental in making the live shows unforgetable. Australian shows anyhow, just my opinion. ..
To Ivan, there are much better versions of Red Right Hand in earlier days, especially more recently for the series Peaky Blinders. (The notorious Irish drug dealers/gangsters of early 1900). He sings an amazing song with PJ Harvey called Henry Lee (the serial killer). "Where the Wild Roses Grow" You Tube should keep you spell bound. In My Arms will give you yet another view of his talent. This guy is truly unique and his songs are used exstensively as background vocals in movies, etc. Enjoy him to the max! He's a treasure!!!!!
I've noticed that in general. I've seen The Bad Seeds several times both in America and then the U.K. And always the U.K. Shows were sitting. Why is this? In America everyone is on their feet dancing.
The quality of this recording is fantastic, good job BBC.
Cave looks 60% less terrifying with a moustache... Very cowboy of him.
That was one of the best ways to spend 58 min and 42 seconds that I can think of.
Damn YES !!!!!!!1
This Is Art.
Incredible performance. Loved it from start to finish
This recording should be an official CD/DVD release!!

I saw them in Manchester a couple of months ago, the sound coming from the stage in the finale to Stagger Lee was just epic! What a gig!!!

Lucky you - now you've got a delicious catalogue to work your way through. I'm partial to 'cinder' and 'ocean songs'. Enjoy that.
