Best rock/jazz/metal violinist in the world, best since Jean-Luc Ponty, and maybe better.

Yes, Japanese musicians are outstanding (male and female) and Quadratum/Unlucky Morpheus is no exception.

I always love to hear Fumiya doing this stuff as there is more separation in the notes and you can hear what he is doing over when he is blasting away on something.

Pure talent all around with these guys. One thing you missed about the playing of chords on the violin and the 4 strings. The bow can only touch 2 strings at any one time, because of the curvature of the bridge. Even more impressive.

What can you say when a band has two great lead guitarists(shiren & jinya) and such an amazing violinist in addition?😂🤘🏻

Jill wanted to play violin because her brother did, she started to play at 3 years old. When she 1st started to learn to play, her teacher did not train by using sheet music, but by ear, which how Jill learnt for 3-4 years, and she claims to be pitch perfect and can hear the pitch of rain falling.
Jill 1st heard metal music when she was at college and that was X-Japan and loved the sound of the music, there are a lot of similarities between metal and classical music. Then stared to be in a few metal bands. She has a group with her brother called Rose Noire, Hollow Mellow and has appeared in a few other metal bands songs such as Fate Gear, Rie AKA Suzaku.
When Shiren 1st heard Jill play he knew it was a sound he wanted in Unlucky morpheus.
There is not a recorded live of this sound that they have done, but Jill has done it in a live stream czcams.com/video/0NTSwYIzAI4/video.html

In case you're interested in seeing more of Jill playing, Unlucky Morpheus has a second CZcams channel, "Unlucky Morpheus official サブチャンネル", where livestreams/recordings of livestreams are kept. The videos there mostly focus on a single member just hanging out in a room with their instrument and playing and interacting with chat (and there are also group videos where everybody is just hanging out chatting and playing video games). There are a ton of videos of Jill (especially during the rollout of the Quadratum album) hanging out in a room by herself playing a variety of songs, ranging from Unlucky Morpheus/Fuki Commune tracks, to classical songs, to video game and anime covers.
At one point, she plays Dance of Eternity blindfolded (the video for that one is obvious by the thumbnail) just for funsies.

Just love your react. For some more musical background that I have discovered, check out her violin playing in a gothic lollita band called Hollow Mellow. Notable also is the fantastic guitarist by the name of Nemuchev (their chemistry musically is fantastic), do a youtube search for Hollow Mellow and take a gander at Romantique, Enchanted, Nemu and Jill - Vivaldi Summer among others. There is a version of the dream theater piece with Nemu but I can't find the link at the moment. In one of her streams she plays it blindfolded! There are also some live performances with this band where Jill is wearing huge rabbid ears and head-banging like a crazy woman with fans off to the side. I mention this because in some of these live concerts there are breaks with Jill and Nemu that are absolutely fantastic, just listen closely and ignore the singer (she's not bad and the songs are cos-play stuff but the interaction between Jill and Nemu is what;s important here.) Also, Jill has done some Castlevania covers such as Vampire Killer, Bloody Tears (excellent!!) and some others with the same keyboard/piano player. In any case Jill is nusically very deep and I think has a vision that may contribute something to 21 cantury music. The Quadratum pieces are a hint, I think. Sorry to be so long-winded. Hope it helps. Just remembered the name of the live video called Adieu - it's mindblowing and fantastic interaction btwn Jill and Nemu.

For me, Jill is the missing puzzle that completed the Unlucky Morpheus set. Before she came, Unlucky Morpheus music was good but missing something very important. Thank god Jill is with them.

I know she can do it, but it appears at many times her eyes are closed, just ripping notes. She is both adorable and amazing.

When you have a weapon like Jill in your arsenal, you use her. As for how this all came together I can't say for certain, but my guess is that this album isn't the first time these four have played these songs together. I know Jill has videos of her playing "Dance of Eternity" that date back several years, so I wouldn't be surprised if these four have been jamming to these songs for a while. Or I could be totally wrong, who knows?
One reactor I saw mentioned a fantasy draft of Japanese musicians to create a super band and said that his choice would be Mayu from Nemophila. That's a good choice, I love and adore Mayu, but my reply was that I'll take Jill first and have zero buyer's remorse. She's a graduate of the most prestigious music school in Japan, she can play anything, she's a good performer, and she's as cute as can be.

Jill's great, but while I have no idea about the violin there are a handful of violinists that stray from the classical path. Jill for one, obviously, and her favorite pieces are from Paganini, she shares that passion with David Garrett, granted he does more poppy stuff, but he's quite good and I think also went to Julliard. Then there's Lindsey Stirling, really enjoy her stuff too, like Shatter Me feat Lzzy Hale.
Admittedly I do not know of another metal violinist, especially one this passionate, I love when she actually headbangs while playing, however that's actually possible, oh and she does have absolute pitch...

Look up Mark Wood and Anna Phoebe if you want more rock/metal violinists. Anna played with the Trans-Siberian Orchestra for a few years and is a great performer, and I first heard about Mark from guitar magazines back in the 90s.

The guitar to violin switch is kind of the point of Quadratum (not exclusively, but mostly). Ogawa (bass) laughingly calls Loud Playing Workshop the 'Jill show-off project'. This follows Yngwie's original with roles reversed, and the lead parts that Jinya plays on guitar are actually the keyboard lines from the original. Another of my suggestions brightens your day - I'm chuffed :0). You have a busy reaction schedule, but be sure and watch some of the others on your own time. The cover of Technical Difficulties (Mr Big) is another masterpiece. Also, on Jill's channel there are videos of her performing many songs with her brother Nemu (KILLER guitarist), including the two of them covering Dance of Eternity back in 2017 - with lots of Closeups of Jills Magic Fingers. There are also some clips of her jamming with Nemu at an Anime festival - with some classical violin in the mix. JiII IS A BEAST! p.s. They also do an amazing cover of the Attack on Titan theme - with costumes.

Thanks, Patrick, I knew I'd hear from you soon! Don't worry, I take plenty of time to listen to lots of stuff on my own. Takes a while for some of these songs to render so I have time to listen/watch/and read & reply to comments, at least during my long 5 days off. About to start another 5 day rotation on and just finished setting up the schedule. Gonna be a good week!

Unfortunately, without comments and pauses, CZcams tends to throw the video in jail as it no longer is covered by Fair Use. That's why I ALWAYS link the original in the description for you to enjoy. Thanks!
