The car was speed-limited because the mounted winter tires were only approved for speeds up to 190 km/h. We did not notice this while driving as the GoPro blocked our view of the display unit.
Supercharged Magazine correct me if I’m wrong but does the car know it had winter tyres on then or is that something that is set by computer
No, you have to manually set a winter tire speed limit in the settings menu. The rental company had done that.

Für 140PS geht der ganz gut, wobei man sagen muss das is noch ein echter Motor mit 2,2L.
Hugo Boss er ist träge von der Beschleunigung. Der Durchzug auf der Autobahn ist ausreichend. Ich finde jedoch die Durchzugscharakteristik sehr schön, da sie ab dem Turbo schön gleichbleibend ist, außer man kommt auf 190-200 dann wird’s träge bis 230...
Aber durchaus habe ich schon viel schnellere Autos mit der gleichen Leistung gefahren
Der kommt niemals im Leben an 230 kmh vielleicht Tacho aber Realität 195

I'm about to buy and CDI 220, '02/'03/'04, preferred automatic.
I never drove a 'sportive' Mercedes, only got Spanish and French cars up to now.
Two questions:
How is it really to drive this car?

These cars are very comfortable to drive and have enough power for when you need it. They can be very fuel efficient as well. But don’t forget that these cars are at least 16 years old. They’re going to need more maintenance now, and maintenance is costly. They do hold up pretty well though, I frequently drive a 220 CDI with more than 450.000 km on the counter.
I got one c 200 coupe 163ps 1.8 motor Schaltgetriebe sait 4 Monaten. Ich denke das diese Modelle sehr gut sind. Bequem sportlich aber nur das die em bisschen alt sind aber ja gute Modele.

Nice video. However can I please suggest some things. I was looking for the actual consumption at 130 and 160. Maybe it would be interesting to do the following: 1) Accelerate to a certain speed and then reset the counter (accelerating uses a lot of fuel that is taken to the average) 2) drive at this speed for 10 or 20 km 3) note the average. It would be awesome to have these figures for 90, 120, 130, 160 and 190/200. But I suppose its too late now. Any idea what the consumption is at 130 and 160? I really doubt it is as high as 10.1 litre.

OM646 engine uses 6L/100km while cursining at 140Km/h, W211 OM646 2002 410 000km owner here, with stock factory sized tires, these cars get bad while in the city, then they go over 10L/100km

Ich fahre selbst einen C180K. Ich mag die Heckansicht, wenn das Auto sauber ist. Nur ist das Ding hinten IMMER dreckig. Die Front gefällt mir sogar noch besser und am hässlichsten ist eindeutig die Seitenansicht. Der Wagen sieht aus wie ein Unterlegkeit.

C180 Kompressor. 2003 gab es keinen C180 mehr. Dann eilt der Tacho deutlich vor. Offizielle Angabe liegt bei 220 km/h.

I have same car, tyres v91 Michelin , speed max 225 km/h Max.
Ich selbst fahre seit 3 Jahren den selben Typ aus dem Jahr 2001 und ebenfalls in Silber. Allerdings denn stärkeren c200 Kompressor.
Ein geiles Durchzugs starkes Auto das auch schöne Endgeschwindigkeiten erreicht. Leider ist Rost bei diesen Baureihen vor 2004 ein großes Problem 😭
Ich habe den C180K von 2003. Rost ist bei mir kein Problem. Aber er steht auch in der Garage und wird wenig gefahren. Flott fahren kann man ihn ganz gut, aber Spaß geht jenseits der 180 anders. Man sieht auch im Video, wie sehr das schüttelt. Da braucht man dann schon eine Autobahn mit neuer Fahrbahn.
Was mir an der ersten Serie besser gefällt, sind Display und Lenkrad. Das Gelb ist einfach wärmer als das Weiß der späteren Fahrzeuge und die Multifunktionstasten im Lenkrad sind auch harmonischer integriert. Die silberfarbenen Tasten der Modellpflege sind mir zu aufdringlich.
Ja Rost ist Scheisse hab den c200 kompressor, aber werde den Rost entfernen und teillackieren

@@batvenio3533 je nach Farbe rosten manche mehr oder weniger ,ich habe einen in Jaspisblau und er rostet halt an kotflügel und türkanten aber weitaus weniger als die anderen .unten rostet er auch aber es hält sich in Grenzen wenn man es behandeln lässt

Ja, sollten um die 220 sein. Der C180K mit derselben Leistung läuft auch knapp über 220. :)
Wenn man billigere T-Reifen fährt, muss das Auto halt auf 190 km/h begrenzt werden. Ein Aufkleber an einer gut sichtbaren Stelle tut es rein rechtlich auch. Denn grundsätzlich braucht das Auto mindestens V-Reifen (bis 240 km/h zugelassen).

the engine is very good, you have a car for life if you do the maintenance, it is not very expensive, i bought mine in 2017 and just had to change the clutch!

Ja, das hat der Wagen. Den Schlüssel lange zu drehen war unser Fehler. ;)

I have c220 coupe and i drive with 250kmh
j'ai un Coupé w203 c220 cdi de 09/2002(143ch), après 200 km/h c lent, je n'ai jamais dépassé les 212km/h. De souvenir, les données constructeur donnais 217km/h en Vmax.

Stupid I had that car... pretty good and fast... You should just click the damn button on s in gearbox and click on the left side next to signal indicator.... Car's top speed is over 220...
Did you even watch the video? He tested it twice - in W mode and S node. And he said in the comments that the car was limited to 190kph by the rental company, but he didn't notice it during the drive. The camera was blocking the 'LIM' indicator.
