Don´t think the world needs another 20k Hypernaked. I like the Suzuki for what it is. 150hp, only the most necessary electronics, Japanese reliability, affordable. Well done Suzuki!
Most people would likely agree with you, but compared to an MT10, the Suzuki is a bit boring.
@@iamtherealzombie I’ve owned both and the Gsxs is a much better bike.. better chassis better brakes
😂🤣😂🤦🏼🤷
@@patw9175 what kind of tenere do you have? The single or the new twin?
Precisely. Everything he praised about the bike are the things I care about. And the things he didn't like, or rather said it lacked, are the things that don't much matter to me. Sounds like this bike is absolute treat to ride, and you can have one and still send your kids to college. That works for me.
"Hunch over a speeding fist" - How Mossy hasn't won over Rita with his poetry, I'll never know.
One of the funniest quotes I've heard in a long time. Can't wait to use it in a conversation myself.
Classic 😂😂😂😂
Serve up extra sauce, always
"must take it gently" *pegs scraping in the background 😂😂😂
I don’t think it’s the pegs……its the Zimmer frame hanging off the back !
Gotta love Mossy's honesty. I believe most of the industry has spent a lot of time as of late manufacturing top tier unobtainium the common man won't be able to afford. So they make bikes like these that are a more realistic bike for riders on a budget.
This is absolutely spot on. Us normals might not have the 20k for a hyper naked
Bigger fuel tank - good.
No snatchy throttle - good.
Asthetic appeal? Jury still out.
What about the sub frame. Can it handle the missus?
@@yimmeistaryimmeistar7239 Can it handle the mrs? Probably. A better question is can the mrs handle IT? And looking at that perch, I'd say yeah - maybe. For half an hour. Tops.
@@mpmagnussen Too right, you can get 2 of these for the price of a Streetfighter S. It's about value for money.
Suzuki seem to be one of the few bike manufacturers who aren’t pretending motorcycle technology has moved on leaps and bounds in the last 20 years by waking on a list of irrelevant tech. Respect
They are lazy imo... the rider aids are fantastic on my Tuono factory and I wouldn’t want that bike as much without them, even though they’re off much of the time. Suzuki are like an old band that only plays the songs it’s remembered for at gigs where the audience is as aged as them. I have a gixxer 750 so I don’t dislike their bikes, they’ve just done fuck all for over 10 years really...
@@henrylewin7677 Bro, all you really need is maybe ABS but even that is debatable.
@@henrylewin7677 Apparently a 2006 GSXR 1000 outperforms the Panigale V4 around the track.
I forgot which channel it was but they switched riders and double checked hardware and double double checkd the ducati at the dealer.
Suzuki still outperforms it no matter who rides.
@@carlosandleon the high side I almost had round a bend at 137 says otherwise... bike sorted everything as soon as the rear broke free.
Theres nothing currently called the widow maker out there as these insane machines are able to manage the power through technology... and I still love my k5 GSXR 750 with nothing, a very quick bike but not a patch on the power and torque of what the latest bikes are capable of laying down
@@carlosandleon that was a great video !
keep it basic and simple and less expensive Suzuki. great job. we certainly don't need more or another $15k+ bike. plenty of those.
That's also a valid point, but ...
@@nickthequick theres no BUT, if you want a 200hp naked get a Ducati and complain after 2 months why it keeps breaking down, if you want a 150hp relliable bike get a Suzuki, the only complaints is that it will never break down so you wont have an excuse to buy another one. At the end of the day Suzuki isnt pushing the bike in anyones face and they have the horsepower and toruqe of the bike on their page, they dont lie about their dyno numbers and the price is stupid cheap for a brand new 2021 bike with more than enough horsepower and new age tech.
I think for a lot of users, suzuki is stuck in that market anyways. Even if they did make something exclusive, people wouldnt pay for it, just because it has the S logo.
Suzuki delivers the necessary everyman bike, and they do so very well
@@martinfisker7438 probably true. those with the money would opt for something more instagramable
@@AcmeRocket they can get a nice full exhaust and a tune for less than 2k Aud and get another reliable 20hp at the weels. Thats more than enough for this bike
Always good to have mossy on the channel, he knows his stuff and can certainly ride....
I think the suzuki's need to be appreciated for what they are... very good foundations, very good chassis' and very well balanced. Does every bike really need to have 200+ bhp, every electronic feature out there that to bump up the price and dull the rider experience, and limits only realised by motogp riders on a world-class track? Its in those same reviews of those top of class sports bikes that everyone says that 99% of riders will never come close to realising the bikes full potential... I do like the rawness that comes with keeping these Suzuki's simple, tried and tested.
Ain't Mossy a ringer for Brian Johnson? That accent and that hat? Love it.....rockin the look!
Just when I thought this channel can't get any better they go and bring Mossy back! Way to give that TC a proper test Mossy!
This is a wicked affordable bike that just looks a bit sharper good job Suzuki 👍
No fancy pants, no latest tec, but Suzuki had the balls to come with this oldtimer to a hillclimb. With a 214 kg, 1000 cc, from a former super bike derived dinosaur. And it didn`t fall apart. Seems that Suzuki has built a proper bike, despite all the whim about the missing sparkles.
I like what Suzuki is doing, just refreshing their products and putting the exact amount of tech. Most of European brands ( MV augusta, BMW, Ducati, KTM) put so much tech on their bikes than even their riders dont know how to use them...plus all with TFT dashs that looks the same. Suzuki does it their way, enough usable tech and they are reliable. Thats enough for 90% of the people. Well done Suzuki.!!
This dude, is a fuckin riot haha. Keep him around if you would Al :).
Love a Mossy review, more please. And so neat up that hill 👊
I just love the look on Al's face as he hangs on Chris' every word, waiting for the next superlative 😂😂😂 Always some corkers!
I read that as "Super laxitive" ...
@@starfox_wr-45e93 Still gets the same reaction from Al 😉😅
Mossy & is fixation on Rita Ora
@@DukeOfTwist Be great if they surprised him with a visit at a bike launch some time 😅
"I'm going to have to take it easy" immediately starts throwing the pegs down on every corner.
Mossy please never change.
I think that's the point, those that will stretch to spend the money on it, will be more than happy with it. Suzuki make good bikes for the masses, a bit like Ford in that sense, not much that's startling but they do the job very well.
I think we all got spoiled by the last ten years supernakeds crop. This GSX would had killed a decade ago but now it lacks the thrill, excitement and fun of all the others in it's class. But it still is the best value of all and one of the most reliable if not the most. Congrats on the video.
Love Mossy, need to see him more often lads. 👍
Dammit, Mossy is such a gem! Such a typical Suzuki review, that almost every reviewer makes. They make great, reliable, fun bikes. But they never make one that is groundbreaking and takes your breath away. They play it safe.
My 1975 RE5 would disagree with Suzuki not taking chance's...lol...jk...from Wyoming USA 🔫🤠🇺🇸p.s stay safe and healthy everybody GOD BLESS OUR COUNTRY AND YOURS to stop this foolishness before it's too late
@@billallen4793 No, you're right. Spent 27 years in Utah, been through your state many many times and I may retire there.
I should have stated the past 10 to 15 years. I've owned 3 suzukis and have loved them all. 2006 SV1000s, 2009 SV650F, and 2015 GSX-S750. I've researched the GSX-S1000, both Vstrom 1050 and 650, and The Busa. With the Stroms getting a heavy nod. I just wish Suzuki would throw caution to the wind and innovate something brand new from the ground up and not have several models using engines from a decade or more ago
@@christopher9626 I ALWAYS wanted to get a Suzuki sv1000 and make a flattracker out of one. The re and a waterbuffalo are the only Suzuki's I have owned. The RE5 is a bike I wanted to race at the Bonneville salt flats. My goal was 200mph with a turbo. All dream's now, I got hurt in a work injury back in Sep of 03 and CAN'T work on ANYTHING anymore. So ALL my old toys just sit here, it suck's....from Wyoming USA 🔫🤠🇺🇸p.s stay safe
Always love a vid with Mossy. I think a lot of commenters have struck a note. Reliable, affordable, just enough bells and whistles and solid performance. Keep up the great work!
More Mossy content please 44T! I owned the 2019 F version and loved it. I reckon Suzuki are spot on with the updates: real world usability and accessible for us everyday folks. No need for bling bits like IMUs that just add $$$ (mechanical grip is already superb). Hopefully they update the F version too.
Yes mossy is back! 44teeth, never the first, always the best
Statham looking like getting in Dakar shape! Love having Mossy jump in, great content as always!
YES!!!!!!! you`ve got to love a Mossy review!
I'm just so happy Suzuki finally made something that doesn't roll off the assembly line looking 20 years old already.
Cheers from Alaska lads! Great review as always and thanks for showing my 'ol MT-10 some love. Bike still puts a big smile on my face every time I ride it.
I bet a full system and a tune would change this bikes personality and that howling k5 motor with those good looks will definitely have you staring at it long after you finish the ride
I totally agree. I hope the ECU hasn't changed much and will be unlocked for a full proper dyno tune. Would love SC project to do a full titanium exhaust for it.
@@pyrolysis2129 totally agree to both. The slight lack of pizazz they talk about gone with the full tune, it’ll really wake it up
M4 makes a good sounding system for it. czcams.com/video/kDlXo5sblrs/video.html
Also CS Racing (Brazil) makes a rad sounding system. czcams.com/video/fEOttVjgTvQ/video.html
Appreciate the honesty, Mossy. This is a bike to consider if you're one who follows his head more than heart.
I love Suzuki keeping it affordable in the US at $11,299. Plus, Suzuki's are reliable and work so well on the road. We like cheap and cheerful here in Indiana.
Mossy the legend, love his enthusiasm.👍🔥
Insanely excited to watch this, a couple of distractions to get out the way then I can enjoy this little beauty. Really eager to hear your thoughts on this as I ended up buying a GSXS 1000F based on your review in the past! 😎👍
Mossy, keeping it real as always.....gotta love his reviews
Always going to be a great video when you see Mossy in the intro 😂
Mossy always adds an extra tooth to the channel. Been waiting along time for his return.
That mossy onboard was lit 🔥 ❤️😂 Rita Ora would be lucky to have the company of such a Man
Thank God! The return of Mossy.
Everyone needs a mossey in their pack ., another great review ,44 teeth have some really great content.. thankyou
Good to see Mossy back on the channel 👍👍
Well i have only watched the first 10 seconds but im happy to see mossy back with 44teeth channel 👍
The first minute I was like “who’s let granddad out of the funny farm??? He’s an absolute ripper 😂😂😂😂
If you really pay attention to most reviewers they're saying a lot of the same things.. which is that the bike does everything very well. Comfort. Rideability. Handling. Just enough power. Quick shifter is amazing. Styling is fresh and exciting. It's just that SPECIAL IT factor that people are missing. The excitement of something NEW and cutting edge. That's just something we can't escape as human beings. We always want cutting edge, regardless of how amazing a product really is. The one thing I myself and personally disappointed they didn't include is a TFT. I mean come on. If I buy a brand new bike these days.. it needs to have a TFT. Other than that.. I'm trying to get out of my own way and slap some cash down for what I KNOW is an amazing bike, regardless. Great comprehensive review!!
I feel that I'm in the minority when it comes to caring about a TFT display and a bunch of menus to sort through on a bike. I've experienced them and while there nice to look at, I ultimately forgot about it after the initial set up.
Perhaps, but from there and then to making a butt-ugly LCD screen is still a bit of a stretch.
@@nickthequick Understandable but having lived with TFT and LCD displays on bikes, I don't have a problem with most LCD screens on as long as the pertinent info is there. I haven't seen the Suzuki's in person yet but it doesn't look bad from what I've seen on video and in pictures.
Great to see Mossy back!!
Great bike very underrated, far better than more expensive competitors
What a lovely little track!
44teeth need more Mossy! You boys work good together! :-)
The only thing I'll say. Can we admit that rode testers are a littler harder to shock and wow. I bet this bike for money would be a peach for anyone who doesn't ride the insane crop of top bikes. This from a big fan of the channel. Thanks
Mossy brings a different dimension, bloody awesome
Finally Mossy is back :-)
Always good to see Mossy back on the 44T Tubes!!! Good solid, real world review. It clearly is a very good and well built bike that will do all the usual stuff well plus I actually like the looks and the screen (very Tron 😂) Price has to be recognised as well, it is a fair bit cheaper than the closest rivals and massively cheaper than the real Hyper Nakeds so it's a little unfair to pitch it against those as you always get what you pay for most of the time.
Genuinely interested in having a ride of one.
Not to mention as has been said, use the money saved to throw at JHS, get it mapped with a system and I'm sure the magic could be coaxed out again 👊😎
Go on mossy ✊
Nice to have Mossy back 👍
Love Suzuki for offering something relatively affordable instead of pretending everyone is earning £100k a year, bikes are usually a second vehicle, who has £20k to spend on a second mode of transport, things are getting crazy
Now that’s a great review discussion, that’s how a review should be done
I love how it looks, I always enjoyed the old version, the engine is legendary at this point, the older model was 150hp at the rear wheel too and not at the crank like a lot of manufacturers claim
Definitely the one I'm getting
2023
Loved the intro..Great review and detailed information..
Mossy, we need to see more of you mate ❤️
How quick do you want it to go , the bike is limited by who’s riding it as you aptly displayed!
Rita Orra yes , I agree
Love the analogy "It's like milk on the turn but it's not cheese next week" lol
Pardon my non British English mate but... would you mind explaining his analogy? 🙈🤟🏼
Just got my old Arai JR replica out to play on the Gixer and he's here wearing a white lid! Lol
Mossy the legend. Need a budget bike battle with all four of you !
Love this review mate. Pat is hilarious!
Love Mossy. Awesome review.
12:38 hunch over a speeding fist! Holy shit I’m dead 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
love ya work guys
Best rider up the hill climb and a very honest review 👌
That old geezer is back is he. Nice
Waiting for Suzuki to make a crossplane GSXRR 1000
Some people love flatplane...
Why crossplane? If anything they would make it closer to their GP bike.
@@progste Their motogp bike is crossplane.. 😅
@@progste ...which HAS a crossplane engine
@@davidvitan3590 didn't know that, I thought it was the only one left with a classic inline 4.
Great review, I love it so I bought one, its so easy to ride and that engine is a belter.
Suzuki could totally surprise the pack by slotting the latest gsxr1000r engine in there. 200hp on a naked chassis ❤️
Love Suzuki's!! but there is defo an accountant holding the design team back
Mossy 'you want sammm' brilliant
I think for those of us who want a decent bike but can't afford the cost of the premium european bikes this is a great option with more than enough performance well done suzuki
I'm just glad Mossy got up Harewood without dropping it!! ;-) ;-)
The latest crop of suzuki's are gap fillers. they put everything in to winning the gp and they don't have a great budget to start with but won't be long for the gp tech to trickle down bring back the bandit with a BANG love the channel guys
I'm actually more excited about this than pretty much any other new naked bike. All the other ones are becoming so expensive and track focused, you may as well just get the fully faired super sports.
Test rode it myself at the weekend. Totally agree, it's definitely far better than the old one. It's looks dont appeal to everyone, but it's a grower. Throw a full exhaust on it with a remap and it should have more attitude. Clocks are crap though, the older models dash was simpler and better to look at especially in sunlight. Great review, top watching on the tubes!
Give the man a raise lads!!
As always he’s everything that we wanted.... 👍🏽
Al, you look proper fit, let's goooo!!!
Most you see it most you love. Wonderful bike
Pulling mad wheelies!!
Excellent video!
Mossy's summed up Suzuki perfectly "you want more", the bike looks like a blast though. I hope they price it low enough to sell shed loads of them.
I think Suzuki needs to add a frickin supercharger to every single bike and a proper dashboards
Love a Mossy vid 👍👌
From Mossy's onboard video those little lines on the dash RH side look like they're saying he's in 3rd gear all the time 🤣
Mossy what a legend!
Yes Mossy and Fagan! I’m in
Would be good to get a new faired sv650 to compete with the incoming R7...
Or just a new SV (riding an SV btw)
Or a sv1000. But I don’t think that will happen anytime again
eventually they will bring a New SV 650 but with a parallel twin engine. I Hope Suzuki will bring a Few New Models in the Market
If it had a ||-twin, it wouldn't be an SV650 anymore, then. Might turn out to be a fine bike, but the "V" in the name would be a lie. I agree with OP, though, bring us a new SV650S, along with the fairings throw in the gsxr usd forks and give that lovely engine a racing tune.
If you test ride all the top super nakeds then of course the Suzuki is going to get slated..but in the real world for the rider that only rides the roads and never intends on going to the track then I think this is a absolutely fantastic bike... especially if you're on a budget...and if you're a good road rider you'll keep up with anything...nice one Suzuki...top bike.
Praise indeed from John Reynolds! You should be proud, Mossy! Well done.
What a minger. Came for the bike, stayed for Mossy.
Exhaust, pro tapers, tune and bar end mirrors make this one HELL of a bargain! There's your spice pals. What you said it lacked can be done with mods.
Absolutely cracking 😂😂😂😂😂🙌love mossy 😂🙌🙌👍😁
Love a good Mossy metaphor.
Would a fancy new B-King bridge that gap into the supernaked category and keep up with the big boys I wonder?
It's funny how suzuki have changed. My father had an sv1000 and an original v-strom 1000 and done about 60k miles between them in 6 years. He rides gs' now but still regards them as some of the best bikes he owned. They were stonking things!
First time on your channel I've watched. The small guy reminds me of compo from BBC compo.. 😊
