Both Shut Your Mouth & HCTP are the best Smackdown games for me! They way you can just roam around doing all sorts on Shut your mouth season mode is crazy! The special slow mow matrix effect mode for specials is awesome too! Shut your mouth has a better & more deeper roster! Would have been awesome if Shut Your Mouth didn’t remove Scott Hall from the game plus added Batista, Rey Mysterio and Mr Perfect and DX attire for X-Pack HBK HHH & Billy Gunn so you could do DX vs NWO! HCTP deleted Jeff Hardy last minute plus doesn’t have Hogan, APA, many midcarders or hardcore wrestlers like Raven. Has Elimination chamber plus Goldberg & Steiner so it’s a difficult choice. I’d go with SHUT YOUR MOUTH for season mode and roster. Game play on both are awesome!💯👌🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
Last game with xpac and Jeff hardy. I know he was in 2008 and some after that but they aren't nearly as good as shut your mouth & here comes the pain. 2007 was pretty good too
From what I heard, Wrestlemania is the official deadline for a set roster for the games, anyone who debuts after wrestlemania will be excluded. Maybe that's why Cena wasn't in the game considering he debuted in the summer of 2002, after Wrestlemania.
I always thought that this roster was based on who was in the company before it became WWE so guys like Batista Cena and Rey didn’t make it because they made their debut after the name change while Brock and Orton made it in because they debut when it was still the WWF
I was disappointed that Scott Hall wasn’t in this game, he did return to the wwe that year being a member of the NWO Does anybody know why Scott hall wasn’t in the Game?

@@codyman5540 I think JBL was also cut and possibly Mick Foley from HCTP because their move set was included I heard the ultimate warrior was cut because of lawsuit, the UW wasn’t on good terms with WWE but I’m not sure why they cut hulk hogan
@@csmith3248 hulk hogan would go from the wwe because of creative stuff , and JBI/bradshaw was cut because he was mostly injured during HCTP time period and came back late to be included and updated

This game was actually the first time to make hogan vs Austin a possible matchup with Smackdown vs raw 2006 following up with that match
Wrestlemania 18 and 19 also were before Smackdown Vs Raw 2006. Also Raw 2 I believe.

Tommy dreamer was in raw during 2002 so he wouldn’t be included if all those you listed were added
