In this video I give away guitars to 10 random people!
Thank you DONNER for making this possible!
It's part of my mission to increase people's access to musical expression.
I do this by setting up a sign that says "Free guitar lesson," hoping that people who are truly interested in starting their guitar journey would show up. It take's some time for this to happen. Time spent waiting in the cold, getting rejected, and dealing with trolls. But eventually, aspiring musicians start to come to receive their lesson. It is a pleasure to teach them guitar for the first time. But it is an even greater pleasure to do this: I ask them if they currently have a guitar--and if they said no, I give them a free one on the spot! Their reactions are priceless.
I hope to do more projects like these, connecting the public to their sense of musical self expression.

Do it come with Gibson decal for the headstock ?
@@carmineredd1198 I'm all out of Gibson decals but I have 3 Martin ones left.
@@guitaro5000 I cant believe Dovy came to meet YOU!
I play a little and have started a couple people with some basic lessons. I have also given away a couple guitars to people who really wanted to learn. One was already a piano player and went to Nashville and has had a couple songs on Adult Christian charts. Ryan Samuel (Wotherspoon)
Currently unavailable. :-(
This guy does so much to encourage people to love music, sing and play the guitar. I enjoy watching his videos. He's a good soul.
Aww, thanks LL Tort :)
I agree, he’s a great guy
It is funny cuz he was going to nursing school from what i remember. He played on all the trains and with the can lid on his guitar, he made his own drum beat as he did guitar at the same time. Haven't worked with him for awhile but I am glad he is doing great so far, even to do this. We were at this bar places one time and he got the whole crowd to dance on the floor during recordings. So he is legit a good man to be around, take it from me
YESSSS!
It's about so much more than just the music! (tho the music is butt kickin'!) It's about accepting people, encouraging others and meeting them where they're at, it's about connecting with the great joy of being alive, of being in community, it's about kindness and reaching out and connecting with others, regardless of who they are! I hope I'm caught up on all Reggie's videos now, because I can binge all day, they bring such JOOOOOYYYYY!!!!
So awesome ! The first guy's reaction had me tearing up , he was moved for sure ! I bet he will become a really good guitar player . Thank you for being a good soul , this world needs more like you !
he always has to remember too (i heard him say part of is fingers were missing). that was the case with tony iomi too and look at him. the dide has the determination that's for sure
Maaaaaaan..... The feels! 🙏

✨💖✨Reggie had me when he honored his music teacher. I cried through the whole thing.
@@hughneutron5303yeah my index finger half is missing.
Having played guitar myself since 72’, I can say you just changed 10 people’s lives.
I still have and play my first guitar. Music is the universal gift of love.
You're incredible Reggie. As much as you uplift people by encouraging them to sing, you uplift those of us who get to watch. Thank you!
That first guy’s reaction is everything! Completely melted my heart
I started crying a little. @guitaro5000: Reggie, you are a really good person.
Reggie, you have a ❤ of gold! This first guy was SO great full. It really touched my heart.
Reggie, thank you for sharing your personal story about your music teacher whom inspired and fostered your talent, love of music and kind, giving nature, with the generous, loving gift of your teacher's very own guitar...
You honor your teacher by giving the gift of your time, gentle encouragement and opportunities for other's to find their own voice, let go of their inhibitions and free their soul, all within the time of a 3 or 4 minute song.
Thank you, for being you and for all you do... you make this world a better place with every voice, you help to lift up in song.
Reggie is a complete badass! He's changing the world one song and one guitar at a time. He's doing the Lord's work. Amazing! 🎸 🎵 ❤️
💖 Amen 💖
Pay it forward, that is the only thing that matters ! Awesome
pay it play it n pray it
I hope one day one of these recipients is able to credit you as being the start to and incredible music career.
I think you are the most nicest, kind and an humble person I have ever saw on CZcams. Teachers in this world should be like you to inspire there students 😊
You forgot talented and handsome 😊
What’s his bum taste like ?
@@TheFinestSelecta woah woah hold up, I don't think the ass kissing was that deep.
I love this concept. You are not only providing random people an opportunity to express themselves and how they feel in the moment, you are giving them a TOOL that can maybe help them generate income. 🙏🏼
There are so many channels that give away stuff to random strangers but this is the first channel I’ve ever seen give away Musical instruments and I think that is just phenomenal! I have been a musician for about 20 years now and I myself have given away at least a dozen instruments over the years because I want others to experience what I’ve experienced through playing music And really learn an instrument. There is nothing on the planet quite like it. Extremely rewarding and ultimately shaped me into the person that I am today always be grateful to the people around me through all of these years.
Cheers to you mate!
Even though I'm not the one receiving the guitar I'm really feel happy for the kindness you showed thank you very much I really love what you do.

As a music lover, this had me in tears. Such a wonderful thing to do.You truly are a class act Reggie ❤️. S/O to the people that received the guitars, I hope you become great players also to the company Donner that provided them 🙌🏼 Most of all thanks Mr.Smith, the impact 1 caring , dedicated teacher can have on a student is carried throughout life & here’s a perfect example 🙌🏼❤️ Great job as always Reggie, We love you & appreciate all you do to share your love of music and put smiles on other’s faces. ❤️💕❤️
Absolutely! It only takes one person to change the course of someone's life. I always try to remember that because I never know what effect I have on someone, but I hope it's a good one.
Thanks. I do appreciate your support! :)
I also tested up when the people did not expect anything from except the lesson. You are so inspiring
Ya know, some philanthropy-type content on CZcams can be a little sketchy in its motivations but this is really pure stuff:
You're not just handing random people a Gibson Les Paul to show off. Instead, you find people that show interest in learning and give them a great starter instrument that probably cost less than $100; not to be cheap, but to show that you're really trying to pass the music along and not just make money and inflate your own ego. Great stuff, keep it up.
Definitely not under 100- they are acoustic electric, you can't get a guitar with onboard electronics for that cheap. I'd guess 200, I don't want to click the link to check cuz I get enough guitar ads as is haha
So that's just to say these are probably decent starter instruments, that will hopefully be nice for them to play, rather than discouraging.
@@copsarebastards fr lol, 90% of my ads are guitar ads
They cost around 130 to 190 dollars. I have a Fender strat that cost a little less than that.
As a guitar player and lover! This is one of the best videos I have seen. The gift of music is matched by few things. I remember being on a tight budget and anticipating getting a used cheap guitar online for months. I could not wait. Eventually, I found my 1st guitar off of Craigslist for $40. It had a crack across the back, yet I was so excited. I now have 4 guitars. I couldn't imagine someone giving me a brand new nice guitar for free! Videos like this inspires hope for society and spreads non biased love. This is great work! Who knows what next big artist comes out of this experiment.
There was a Reddit post about a Dad wanting a very expensive guitar from a guitar player for little money. The guy with the guitar decided to buy a beginner's guitar & accessories for the son & said, "who knows, he might turn out to be the next Steve Vai".
I guess we may find out! Thanks for your support, Daniel :)
LOL. I agree. Who knows.
Thank you Donner. Thank you Reggie . This was awesome!
You stole my comment word for word. 👍
I'm not gonna lie, I woulda love to come across this dude this year... I lost my spirit of playing music this last two years after losing my guitars in a fire and losing some of my best friends after High School... You're such a kind soul 💕✨
Peace be with you.
Get another guitar. The regret is even more of struggle once you get older.
I lost some beautiful instruments in a fire as well. Lost everything I own at 50, last year. Plus animals. I haven't been out of bed in a year. I'm sorry you lost so much and went through this. But we can always by used and start over. Im going to learn to play now no matter what. I hope you do too!
Another Canuck is wishing you a better ..kinder future..🇨🇦

There are a lot of musicians all over the world, Many could be so entertaining, but FEW could be so INSPIRATIONAL and one of them is YOU. Keep doing what you're doing brother! May God bless your heart.
This guy is the best, a light that shines through the current darkness. Keep it up bro !
Reggie, you are what this site is all about. I never fail to have laughter and tears at the same time. Keep on showing the world your light and fill our hearts with music.
I love this guy more and more with each video of his I see. A fantastic human being.
🌿🦋🌿Here's Reggie, still spreading love 🌿🦋🌿Wonderful that he is showing us that we all can do this in our own way ! Thank you, Reggie🌿🦋🌿
I cried. What you're doing is beautiful, man. Love you.
It's because people like Reggie exist here on the planet that makes life so much of worth, easier and better for all who see him do what he does with his musical steps on the streets out there. Great fan here from India, with immense respect and love, Reggie. 🙏Namaste ❤ 🎶
Dude. You may have saved someone. Been a musician my whole life now 58. I have seen first hand what it does to give someone an instrument that can’t afford one. To all my fellow musicians, if you have a spare guitar, drums, trumpet or whatever find someone’s life to change. Then sit down and jam a little with them.
As someone who had to spend his own paper route money to get his first two guitars (an acoustic Samic Loredo and an electric Jackson Dinky Ex Professional) in 1994 as a young teen, I can't express enough how much I appreciate you for this amazing act of kindness and inspiration!
fucking love this channel. I stopped playing violin years ago in hs back when I thought it was lame, but had been playing for 10 years. Im in my mid 20s and seeing your videos makes me want to pick it back up. Never stop being you.
Pick it up and play again. I think it could bring you great joy. My old fingers are stubborn and creaking these days but I still play just for me.🌟
Can't play it. But violin is awesome.
Whoa what do you mean, violins are awesome! Hope you keep playing violin, those 10 years of playing can't be in vain.
Not so sure about this thing you call violin but fiddle on the other hand, fiddles are awesome!! Start playing again. I couldn't imagine my life without playing music, it's therapy among many many other things
I'm 32 and played clarinet in school never took it serious wish i had. Keep it up.
This is on another level. Way to go, man. Thank you for inspiring all those people and all of us who get to watch this video.
Reggie needs to not only be recommended for a Humanitarian Award, he needs to win !!
Especially in this day and age !
Phenomenal comes to mind !
For me, this hits a little close to home.
My Mother, whom we just buried Thursday, bought me my first guitar, when I was 9 or 10.
We were no way near wealthy, as my Father passed from Cancer, when I was 5, and my Mother raised 3 kids on her own !
Guitar for me was hit and miss.
Thankfully it was always there, waiting to be played.
I'm 67 now and love playing now, more than ever !
Giving these people a guitar to begin learning, is over the top, in a lot of ways !
This goes straight to the heart !
I hope those that were given those guitars, don't easily give up !
As I think the guitar is one of the few instruments that is physically painful to play !
I guess you never know, until the seed is planted ?
Hope they water it often !
Love your videos, Reggie !
You Rock !
✌️😎
I love seeing people like this spreading happiness in the community.
Had me in tears...love what you do
Dude I love what you do man, God bless you reggie!
Thank you for being you, Reggie. I love your videos but this one really takes it to another level. Jean-Michel Basquiat said “music is how we decorate time” and you just recruited 10 new decorators. I hope I get a chance to run into you some day.
OMG, i'm just watching the first guy receiving the guitar and i'm about to cry with him. That's so beautiful!!! You inspire so many people, Reggie!
I have been playing guitar for 30 years, what I have seen in this video brings such joy to my heart. You are what is good in the world. Music is the common denominator that brings people together. Thank you!
This is beautiful! The world needs more people like you. Not in the sense of people giving away free goods, but in the way of inspiration and kindness in a world so overrun by greed and hate. These qualities sprout hope for our future if people catch that inspiration and keep paying it forward.
Love, kindness, and a good dose of music. Don't need much more than that for a happy life.
As a musician that struggled to get my first real guitar, I absolu44tely love what you did here. I now have 13, and love every single one of them.
Ahh the old GAS 🤣
What an incredible kind and gentle man, you are Reggie!!! You have reached into the hearts of many and will continue to do so. God Bless you!!! ❤️
The Love you spread is inspiring & aim to make someone’s day a little sweeter when my Angel nudges me.👼
Whatever it is that the world is doing right in these dark times… my brother you are a shining example of one of them.
I learned a lot of guitar stuff from you over the years. I am forever grateful ,you have taught and inspired me countless times. You have made my day…again!
this brought tears into my eyes. Thank you, Reggie, and keep up your wonderful work! What you are doing is so important. Many blessings.
Reggie, you are such a unique human being! Thank you for all your kindness!!
I was tearing up every time he surprised the person with his very own guitar. The first person was so grateful. This is a wonderful idea. Some folks don't have the money, are timid, or don't feel they can take the time to learn to play, but this project which gives them a gift makes them feel someone cares and now it's up to them to learn to play.
Keep putting out good into the world!!! Love your stuff Reggie
Reggie. You are a fantastic man. Tears of happiness rolling down on my face. God bless you. Hugs from Brazil.
I started binging your CZcams videos less than a week ago. I appreciate everything you're doing to help people through music. I'm a violinist, but can't play very much due to pain from an ARMY injury. Long story long, I started learning guitar. I'm inspired by you to give back to the community through music. Here I go! Thank you.
I love it man. I'm so sick of CZcamsrs getting guitars to review, all on the same day, and keeping the ones that they like and giving away those that they don't or have similar ones of. It's awesome to see good people do good things. Keep up the great work.
Made me cry!!!! I grew up in a city divided by war. My guitar saved my life! Love this!!!
I had to look for another person who mentioned "he had me in tears"--or made me cry, you are the first I think.
Thank you Reggie! You give happiness to myself and so many others through all the kindness you spread. I appreciate you! 🙏 🙏
Bro this is what the world needs. Honestly can't think of a more wholesome channel. Thank you for making the world a better place!
The gift of music is one the greatest gifts of all…. What a great thing your are doing…top man 🙏🙏
This young man got Mr in tears, God bless multiple you in all your ways
Reggie you are an example how people should live because this world seems to be all about me. Your qualities cannot be bought it is a priceless gift from God.
Love you so much, Reggie! Thank you for all this inspiring kindness!
I love the reaction of the last guy. He was truly touched by you and I believe he will be working hard on his journey into guitar!
These feel good videos are as uplifting to the viewers as they are to the participants! Thank you!
Glad you like them!
My first guitar was a gift from a relative I never met. Brought back to Canada by my Great Aunt visiting family in Texas. I met my wife when she auditioned for a band I was in, we can't play together anymore (health reasons) but we both still love music and always will. Amazing video Reggie.
This 65 year old, white nana thinks you are very amazing man! God bless you, kind sir. Tears are running down my face!
What a great thing you're doing !
My mother showed me 3 chords when I was 12 years old. I had no idea what travels that would lead to.
I ended up making a living playing music for 27 years. It warms my heart to see you spreading the joy of music.
Be safe ! And keep up the good work.
I’m so sad I missed you in NYC! I’ve been taking guitar lessons throughout the pandemic and I’m so grateful for it. I love your videos and the joy you bring. Thanks for doing what you’re doing.
Oh Reggie I love you with my entire heart and soul. Music moves me in explicable ways everyday and you manage to capture some of those moments of raw joy on camera. Love your videos.
Oh my gosh, Reggie you are amazing!! Thank you for touching our hearts with music, you raise the bar for all of us!
Reggie, I do watch all your video since a while already and love what you are doing and how you bring the music and joy to the people on the streets. But this "give away " video just blown my mind ! I loved to see the smile and the happiness in the eyes of the people , who just realized, that they now have an own guitar - for free. Amazing !! Thanks to you and Donner, who made this possible :-) Reggie, you are an awsome dude :-) Keep on doing that amazing job ! All the best and greets from Hamburg ( Germany ) \m/
I’ve never gotten emotional seeing stuff like this but this genuinely brought tears to my eyes
I always love the reactions of people when they are been given free stuffs on street.😀 True inspiration.

How wonderful! As a guitarist and guitar teacher I love what you do. I gave free guitar lessons to kids for many years and it gave me so much joy. I’ll never forget the looks on young faces when they nailed their first song.and I’ll never forget the happiness of taking my senior groups out into the community to spread the joy of music. I’ve been blessed to have such beautiful memories. Keep doing what you do, spreading the love of the best instrument in the world. Very inspirational♥️
What is your guitar story?
I owned a few guitars. My little acoustic one I painted three times...green(Marler actually lol) to go with my comedic persona, white(my dad had painted something and said I could use it)when I dropped the gimmick. I had an electric in a red squier starter pack as well as a black and white starter kit I can'tremember what brand, a blue Dean acoustic(loved the color and the sound), a first act acoustic(the one I painted), a Spanish guitar(not sure what brand), a first act bass, and a I wrote a few songs for my stand up. I don't know if they sounded great, but people laughed.
I wrote a serious song and performed it... a few people told me it was good. I mainly would just fiddle, not meaning the bow and violin l, around and see what I could do, especiallywith my effect pedal. My youth pastor had fun with it. They were rehearsing, he told me to drop by since I was a hobbyist and played around with everything. Learned some songs on drums and bass, but never played with them during service. At a previous church, the piano lady would help us learn guitar and bass. She taught me Jehovah Jireh amd a few others. My dad ended up playing for them and he would teach me songs on bass and I would try to play them on guitar.
All in all, I Did a few gigs with friends as well as the stand up stuff. I Iost all of my instruments in storage after losing a job. I was staying at a small place at the time. Right now I'm trying to save up for a new one, but I downloaded an app that kind of works for now. Trying to find a car makes it harder. Fingers crossed I find both this year.
I don't know why, but I switched to keyboard amd wrote a few songs for my comedy. I truly miss both guitar and keyboard more than I do drums or bass. Part of me wishes I would go into a music store and for some insane reason they would have buy a guitar, get a keyboard free or vice versa. Silly I know, but I think there was a music magazine that had a buy a guitar get a mandolin free, so I mean...there's no hope lol. We also had a mandolin I was able to sell before Iost everything. My dad got it and passed away before he could really play it. I tried to do some Tiny Tim stuff with it lol. Sorry. I didn't mean to tell you my life's story.
I started listening to a lot of classic rock and american folk, country and blues when i got into middle school, but I also became extremely lazy and spent most of my time at home playing video games and watching movies. My dad used to play piano (he still plays but very rarely, his skills aren't what they used to be), so every day when he came home, he saw me playing LoL or Counter Strike, and he thought I was wasting my time and wanted me to start a hobby thats at least a little bit more productive. So for my birthday in 6th grade he bought me a pretty cheap, bit still ok acoustic guitar. For a week I was stoaked, and couldn't wait to learn how to play, but in my small town there wasn't anyone who held private lessons, so it just sat in the corner for two years. I tried learning again when I was in 8th grade, and this time I actually practice every day for 6 months, and learned 4 chords (Em, C, G, D), and a bunch of nirvana and metallica riffs. I was getting pretty good but one day I strained my arm playing basketball and stopped playing for a long time. I saw a kid in junior year of high school playing cover songs at a party. Everyone was around him and he started getting noticed by girls, so that peaked my interest. The next day i opened my gig bag, changed my old strings, found the Justin Guitar beginner and intermediate courses, and never stopped playing, it's been 4 years now and I still love playing.
I both myself a classical acoustic guitar one year ago and it’s the best gift I ever gave myself. There wasn’t a day since then I haven’t played at least a few minutes. Practicing new chords or new picking patterns, ignoring the pain on the tips of my fingers just enjoying the sound...
I love it!
It’s like therapy, meditation and medicine all together. ❤️🙏🏻
I went through 6 music teachers who tried teaching me theory. I learnt nothing. A friend sat and showed me chords and I learnt in 2 weeks. I now have 14 guitars
Been trying Piano and guitar very hard to learn. Come to Los Angeles please
REGGIE...You are a ray of sunshine! Look up Hero, your picture belongs there!!! Thank you for being BORN!!!
