You guys can keep the snow in your area of Ontario, I don’t want it in my area of Ontario, lol
Looks like your plow is working ok, better than a shovel and less hassle than a snowblower can give.
Well, I would prefer the snow to stay away, but it has gotten us more this week, luckily no BIG dumps yet, those aren't any fun!
Just need one of them metal strip engine-stop things the older Briggs engines had to shut it off, easier than rigging something up to be a dead man's handle, especially as the issue of it running off without you is somewhat of a hilarious thought given how slow it'd go anyways, so would be like trying to catch a turtle... :P
LOL, it is actually quite a bit faster than a turtle when set at 6 in forward, but it would still be pretty easy to catch. It shouldn't take off by itself, since there is a dead man's clutch control on the handle, If you don't push it down, it won't move. the new snow blowers have so many safety controls that they look weird!
It will be interesting to see how long the drive friction disk lasts in this configuration.
True, so far it is holding up fine, I have used it 4 times now. I tore it apart when I made the 3 newest vids, I show the drive friction disk, and it still pretty much looks new. But there is no doubt that I am working it harder than normal!
Good day Yes pushing does not take as much power as snow blower, but their are times when blower get rid of it
Thanks
Yes, I agree, a snow blower gets rid of the snow better, if you are able to control where it goes, and it spreads it out better. In tight quarters, or a howling wind the plow may work out better. I will see how it works for me on the smaller storms, say 8" or less that we get. On the storms bigger than that, I will be getting the trusty old 1972 snow blower out! :)
As someone who lives when it rarely snows your behavior puzzles me!
We get wet snow here sometimes, like last week, it snowed, then it turned to rain. the wet heavy snow is very hard to shovel, and most snow-blowers don't handle the wet snow very well. However, this snow plow has no problem pushing it, though I did have to wear rubber boots and a rain coat! The rain only melted a bit of the snow, so there is still lots of it left.
I think the big tires help. My neighbors think I'm nuts when I use 3 different very old snowblowers to do the job.
LOL, Hey, whatever works for you! At least with 3, you will probably always have at least 1 working at a given time!
