- Please Read: A lot of people doubt this video is real as you can see by the comments. Hence, I'll explain..... it is real, the car is exactly what I say it is. (C6 Z06, naturally aspirated, BTR stage 3 cam, WCCH stage 2 heads, MSD intake, ARH 1 7/8" headers and a RPM transmission Stage 6 4L65E Auto conversion with a hi-stall torque converter. Stock gearing and suspension. Raceweight is 3300 lbs.)
The first half of the video is the tire heat-up in the water box..... the 2nd half of the video is the actual pass. What my car does is nothing all that special..... its a quick car for being naturally aspirated, but in the scope of things, this is pretty pedestrian performance. Come with me to the track and I'll show you what I mean. This car 60 foots in the 1.2's with a best of 1.27 and in the 1/8th runs low 6's and in the 1/4 mostly high 9s'
If you still do not think it is real, I have approximately 60 videos of this car on this channel..... put on your best Sherlock hat and go watch them looking for something wrong or deceiving. You won't find anything.
I race this car a lot, its well known here in the DFW area. If you want to see this car run.....let me know and I'll tell you when and where which track I race at next. It isn't anything special...... runs good for being naturally aspirated, but in the scope of things, is a fairly uneventful car. (This is the age of Boost)
A Word about the messages you see on the display:
- Change Engine Oil: The Oil was fresh in this motor as it always is. I change the oil in this car somewhere are 2-3x more often than called for due to the racing application. When I changed the Oil, the message wasn't on because I changed it so early. I had just not reset it since it came on.
- Active handling and traction control off" This is because I turned them off for racing..... as everybody does. They slow you down significantly if left on. The car is supposed to give you this message. You will see that message on all C6 Vettes racing if the owner was smart enough to turn them off.
- Service Tire Monitor: It gives this message simply because I have my racing slicks on the car as I am racing at the dragstrip in this video. My racing slicks do not have my Tire Pressure sensors installed. It's just advising me that its not picking up the signal from the sensors. And they wouldn't until I put my street tires back on the car.
Nothing is wrong this car at all.... display messages are simply telling me what I already know. This is simple stuff people..... if you're a racer, you pretty much already know this stuff, it not.... well, you make silly comments on my channel as I have seen 1000 times over.
The constant string of warnings on the dash is the best part.

It’s almost better for acceleration to not have a car extremely overpowered because you can get more power through the tires because the engine isn’t breaking the tires loose all the time and you can use all the power available.

The oil is changed in this car very frequently. What I hadn't done was reset the oil thing.

@@tommycarrizal1656 ahh its fine its normal for high performance cars and parts that's a stock gauge in my camaro my oil pressure shoots up like that too I got an aftermarket gauge and sensor so I do run the correct pressure for parts
lack of oil pressure is a real fast way to ruin your sweet engine. the higher the rpm, the higher the pressure
When my oil pressure sensor got plugged the gauge would bounce between 100 and zero. One time one of my friends was in my car and they noticed it at 100 and said "nice oil pressure" so i replied "give it a sec" and it dropped back down to zero

Fun Fact, A Corvettes speedometer registers its speed from the VSS (vehicle speed sensor) on the driveshaft downrange of the transmission. That being said, if it were on dyno, doing burnouts at the mall, drifting on a corner, it can register extremely high speeds at a GPS (ground speed) of even just a few mph in real time. Meaning, for the v8 warriors out there, that speedometer needle is NOT accurate. I can promise you that. My heavy ass Tahoe in the rain will go from 0-75 in 2.7 seconds, but my fat ass isn't actually going anywhere. You're all Welcome. Mythbusters BUSTED

The fastest electric cars do this with one speed transmissions so you don't have pesky gear shifting to get in the way of that eternal thrust. It's also a lot cheaper to make an electric car fast due to having maximum torque at all rpms.

Most people don't get to see the 0-60 time in a car like this and in an environment like this where the conditions are near perfect. It really puts into perspective how incredible these machines can be.
No, his speedo during the burnout hits 90mph, nobodies first gear does 90mph and nobody has that much traction on a car with 5.0 gearing; a funny car does much faster than 1.9s 0-60 and that would be a reasonable equivalent of 2nd gear 90mph burnouts. Listen to the motor, it sounds like a stock z06 at best. Its all just too unlikely and no matter what the speedo is so uncalibrated that it cannot be taken as legitimate no matter what.

That generally doesn't happen in most instances. The tach would drop faster than the speedo, but at one point, the drop back to 0 at the same rate.

Can't really trust the speedo, especially since it's not only laggy, but also calibrated for stock tires. If his drag tires are bigger then he'd be going faster than what the speedo is showing.
