Thanks for watching :-)
A decent stretch after the difficulty of day 2 along Loch Lomond, was able to get a few more miles in than I initially thought.
The food at the Invororan hotel is amazing! Decent wild camp spot 5 mins away also
Loved the Tony Robinson bit 😁😁
The Tony Robinson bit just brilliant. Thanks for sharing your adventures.
You're welcome
Doing the West Highland Way tomorrow. These’s videos have been very insightful. Thank you.
Good luck! Cheers
The Tyndrum Massage is by a Lady called Pat. I'm definitely going to book myself in for the full works when I know which day I'll be reaching Tyndrum. Should be a nice reset of the muscles for rest of trail :)
I see you are not wearing a hip belt Darren on that backpack, and possibly no frame neither if it only weighs 450 grams. You appear to be walking fine with it though. My next walk I ll be dumping the hip belt to shed 250 grams. I ve often thought it makes no difference and just adds to the total load .My sack will go down to 700 grms minus the belt , way off the Atom Pack which I m tempted to buy
Yeah I figured if base weight is low enough then don't need the support from hip belt
was away for the weekend and doing this in the wrong order :) very well put together i,m
defo doing this :)
Ha, you should it's a great trail
why did i get a fright when u turned into tony robinson haha
Hahah
I'm doing this starting next Saturday over 5 days .I see you have walking poles on your bag . Did you feel the need to use them? . I'm pretty fit but have been loaned a pair ,but just thinking if I need them or not , to carry less weight
Hi, I only took them as they are used to erect my tent.
You definitely don't need them for this trail.
Only a couple of significant climbs/declines.
Save the pack weight!
@@darrencurtisuk thanks for this , that's a few hundred grams less ..have now watched all five vids ..pretty much the same route I have, but sallochy instead of cashel ..your vids are brilliant. Thank you
