He's still mediocre (8-17 -1 record, uninspiring stats)) and will be probably be cut as soon as it becomes financially viable to do so. In 2023 they can save 20 million dollars by cutting or trading him. Goff can go back up Baker Mayfield somewhere for the league minimum.

Did no one see Sewell throw that punch at the Vikings defender after converting that 3rd and 7. That's what you call home field advantage. That gave them the win because it put them in FG position. They call the blatant flag the Vikings would have had over a minute to put together a game tying drive. That's sad officiating can ruin a whole hard fought game. RIP to Detroit refs

Bengals fan here. I worked in Detroit for about a year and a half and love the city so happy for the Lions. They have a small shot at making a playoffs just keep grinding it out.

Lions went from potentially wasting another season to being the team you DON'T want to meet. I doubt there's a more tenacious team in the league at this point. Regardless of outcome, win or lose, the Lions are as fierce and loyal as their fanbase. Inspiring as hell to watch.

I don't know what to say fam. Not since when we were in the last playoff game have I felt this much joy as a Lions fan. This game against Minnesota wasn't just important because of the fact that it gave us another W, or that we beat a double digit win team or kept our playoff hopes alive. This was important because it completely turned our franchise around from a cultural and mental standpoint. I have absolutely no doubt after today that Dan Campbell is the right coach for this team and we are only going up from here. So much passion, heart and discipline I've never seen the likes of. Go Lions!!!

Not a Lions fan by heart but definitely on the Lions bandwagon as I think everyone is at this point. I literally have a smile on my face watching this video. So awesome to see them thriving finally after so many years. The fake punts, the pass to the right tackle like this team is so fun to watch and it seems like these past few games they have really figured it out and put it all together. Been watching Detroit since Gary Danielson got rag dolled out of the league. I'm not sure I've ever witnessed a Lions team with this much grit, and resilience. They just won't quit.
They're also solid across the board, not having to rely on a star playmaker to be competitive.
This game reminded me of the 04' Pistons vs Lakers NBA finals.
They weren't worried about Kobe Bryant scoring, and focused instead on shutting down everyone else on the court. And that's exactly what they did.

As a Packers fan, I have to say I really like this Lions team. I went to last weeks game at Ford field and really enjoyed the atmosphere. Goff looked really good and Jamal looked great as well. I think there is a great culture Campbell has brought to this team. You can see the physicality of this defense. There’s a lot of good stuff going on here. One other thing: Detroit is one of the friendliest big cities I’ve ever been to. Incredibly underrated. I would go back again in a heartbeat. Except against the Packers, GO LIONS!!!!

Let’s just ignore the 8+ plays the Vikings were blatantly holding and the refs didn’t call it. Especially on the drive cook fumbled all 3rd down conversions would’ve been sacks but holding calls were missed that were so obvious. Gg though, Jefferson is for real.

They are a real threat right now. Only 1 game behind the Commanders and Giants. We hold the head to head against them. With how we are playing we have a chance to win out. I doubt both Giants and Commanders win out. They have some tough games ahead and still play eachother again.
As a Vikings fan, pretty discouraged with the functionality of this team right now ( mainly in the D dept. DC for one needs to be replaced) However, HUGE props to the Lions this season. Detroit is quickly becoming a powerhouse NFL threat. Happy for you guys!

Was killing me watching us getting so little pressure on Cousins so often in the game, but the D line absolutely shut down Cook and made some big plays when it really mattered in crunch time. Gotta love that!

As a Lions fan, I'm looking forward to seeing the Bears and Lions compete for the NFC North year in and year out. GB and Minn will be entering full rebuild sooner than later, and GB will be in cap hell soon as well

At the start of the season, I told y’all that this Lions have changed so many things in their system and arrangement. As you can see it all paid off and they’re hopeful for their future. not like past years that they were emotionless about their team. I’m so happy for them. I hope it keeps on in our division and by Packers comeback, our division will turn into the most powerful division of NFL. Just like AFC east and NFC east.
As a lifetime Rams fan, if you give Jared a good O-Line and atleast a decent weapon the dude performs so damn good. Theres a reason he went #1 overall. Dont give up on him Lions fans!

As a hater of Jared Goff even I gotta admit the dude is quietly having a good season, and I pretty much thought his career was done the second he was traded to Detroit. Don't know if he will continue this long term but this year he's definitely playing well. Gotta give it to him.
He’s just new, give him some time to settle in with these rough Detroit boys, and he’s going to start shining. Today was a prime example. The team is coming into their own now. Playing good football. Just need to tighten up that secondary and they are a scary team to play.

What a game the Lions played with alot of heart and wow they have become a scary team to play against now. You can not take the Lions lightly from here on out. We had u guys beat too soooo frustrating. That's the most frustrating part is how many teams we came sooooo close to beating that we could easily be a 3 loss team but that's football. Now that we're firing on all cylinders and our coach is making better 4th qrtr decision's we are finishing games. I just don't want to miss the playoffs by one game because of how many games we could've easily won and should have but our coach was still learning at the time and just making dumb late game decisions

Goff's first down conversions were the main differences. Making full confident and clean throws in most 1st downs. 2nd quater stop at the end of the quarter by Lions D helped them a lot. Dalvin cook must be kicking himself for too much time thinking

No Vikings fan is completely comfortable with what they have been putting on the field. Changes will be made and I'd rather them figure it out now vs the playoffs. Also, I'm not a hater. What a Thanksgiving game. U guys are lucky that we did that stupid sideline pass play on 3rd and 1 at the end of the game instead of running the ball because if we had I gaurentee we would've either won or at least tied the game and went to overtime. We lost 4 games this year that were that close and to all of the best teams too. Bills, dolphins, eagles,and vikings 1st game

Its crazy to say it, but Goff is not making this upcoming draft easy on them. It felt like a foregone conclusion that the Lions would go QB, but I can't imagine a young rookie QB coming in and playing like this.. Even if he sat and studied under Goff, there's absolutely no guarantee he'd ever play this good.
