honestly, the most underrated band I've ever seen.
Understatement
These guys are so awesome. Xen is super cool and personable too. I assumed Tim would answer most of the questions, but I was wrong. I can't wait to hear more music from this band. Colossal talent.
Thanks for your awesome comment, they are indeed wildly talented. And writing a new record! Here's a brand new more in-depth chat with Xenoyr you may enjoy: czcams.com/video/tY0KDmaZctU/video.html
Colossal, as in, Devour Me, Colossus? pun spotted xD
You know you're obsessed with NeO when you can identify the gig based on the microphone Tim is using... haha
+patfase Haha nice! We have a clip from the show as well. Man it was a great gig! czcams.com/video/7wyhMtd56hk/video.html More coming up with Daemon Pyre who played as well :)
+The Void AU did you get anything of Plini? That guy is a genius, and the sound was superb.
+patfase Just a little, but yes! :)
You're sick bro xd
his lyrics are nothing short of beautiful
what's cool is that xenoyr sounds so different when he's singing vs him just talking, like his persona he puts on is completely different; and I wish that people would see that not all people in extreme metal bands are evil just because of how they portray themselves. also my first song when i found NeO was prob Devour Me Colossus backholes
CoF arent even in the same universe musically as NE, but these guys are a lot more gracious than II would be. Between these guys and Be'lakor, my faith in Oz metal has been restored - hoping to discover more bands of this caliber.
xen is a fucking character. holy shit hahahaha.
3:36 it's a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity 😅 that made me laugh and kind of scared me at the same time lol
awesome, awesome band, and even more awesome people. I was fortunate enough to see them at Metaldays last year, brilliant, I was actually crying! Also got to play Cards Against Humanity with Xen, which is something I'll never forget. Great interview, thanks!
+Bethany C So cool you have a band you love so much you cried! Cards Against Humanity is an epic game, that would have been hilarious. Thanks for watching x
+Bethany C
Oh my god, I am damn jealous! I was there at Metaldays as well, my friend who introduced me to NeO also cried! :3
We didn't had the chance to meet them there tho. Their set was freaking awesome! A bit of a twist with the first song where Xen's mic wasn't working. I won't forget this experience for a long time. It was awesome!
+Joey Hobbit we went to the backstage gate after their set, they spent ages chatting to all of us who were there. Genuinely some of the nicest people I've met.
Bethany C ow, was this the place where you had to have a VIP ticket for? I didn't had this.
How-ever, I saw them back at home in Antwerpen (Belgium) & Tilburg (Netherlands) with CoF. Also had a chat with them there, they signed my Forget Not shirt that I send to my friend who introduced me to them!
They also signed 4 albums (2 for me, 1 for my friend who only had the Portal of I thus far) and 1 to a random people on the internet who didn't had the chance to go see them.
They're indeed genuinely awesome people and awesome to chat with!
Btw, not sure if you're aware, but they started a Patreon to support them with a monthly amounts of money.
You get some cool things, depending on how much money you pledge to them.
If you pledge $10 a month you get to interview the band members! We just interviewed Xen and had some fun, but mostly very interesting answers there.
Now we've asked question for Brendan. He will upload the answers somewhere this month.
+Joey Hobbit Not VIP, there was an area next to backstage where they came out. I'm a Master on the Patreon :) The Xen Q&A was most illuminating. lucky you getting to see them elsewhere, I'm South African, so I just have to hope they're at European festivals I'm at!
Great Interview. Kept me smiling. That's why I love these guys. Looking to the days when they tour Oz again. Awesome to see Tim wearing the shirt of another great Aussie live act.
+Flash Glad you enjoyed it! We're stoked to feature them. And MAN they played a sick show after this chat!
Sweet. I saw them at the Zoo. Great show.
Their concerts are so perfect.
how awesome! they are like yin and yang!
Damn! I wrote this before he said they were like complete opposites!
You know what, this is one of the best interviews I've seen, very entertaining. Good job on that being a good journalist thing, really. I love NeO and these guys seem like the nicest people.
+dandaramrs So glad you enjoyed it! It was a blast to do, and a blast to edit! I tried to distil down the essence of the whole conversation into under 10 minutes, really happy you guys dig it! I don't ever want to ask boring questions because fans deserve better than that ... I learned stuff too :) xx
I never knew Matt & Jeff Hardy wrote such excellent music
Awesome that they crowdfunded the tour, so smart.Anything is possible.
+Andreas Landgren Yes! The new music industry is a different beast, but the power is in the hands of the artists like never before :)
True were taking the power back! I love watching your channel you have fun with the artists. Music is such a driving force for me.
These guys are hilarious. Love them XD
great interview, sharing soon ,thanks for giving this amazing band more exposure!
2:20 Well that escalated quickly :D
Aww....I got super excited when Xenoyr started talking about voice lessons, and then it was cut off :(
I love how different they are lol like Crowley and Aziraphale metal band version
I was there!
i would so wish to hug xen... i know he would hated it probably, but heck...
I'm a really fan and a friend so I suggest you guys read Kardec...
What bands shirt is the guy on the right wearing?
What song are they talking about in the end?
Dead Letter Circus shirt :D
3:08 VAGOS CARALHO
No Man, Max cavalera no Man
How is Xenoyr even pronounced?
I think it's pronounced "zenor
Za-nu-ar
Ginger Beer bwahaah
Stop interrupting Xen all the time! Let the man speak.
+Matti Siekkinen He spoke plenty, it's a conversation. Thanks for the feedback.
@@TheVoidwithChristina Sorry, but he's right. I find it kind of disturbing too, that you were trying to end Xen's sentences so often by yourself - I recognized it in your other NeO interviews too. In an interview the person who gets interviewed should be the focus, not the interviewer. And even in "just a conversation" it's disrespectful to interrupt people. ;) I know it's four years ago now, and maybe your further interviews went better. :)
lol why would you sit in the middle when interviewing two people with one mic
Devour Me, Colossus
