Seems like a good little multimeter. I probably should have bought something different as my second meter instead of the one I recently got. The YF-770D I have is ok but I think it's made of the same plastic as that little dirt cheap one you have. I'll most likely keep it only because it'll be almost impossible to find anything else with 40000 counts for even close to the same price.
It's too bad about the build quality' As an alternative might the Kaiweets HT118E. It is a 20,000 counts meter for less than $60 CDN. So a bit less on the counts and a bit more money, but It's built like a brick $hit house and works very well.
@@uni-byte The counts aren't really that important to me just a bonus since my only multimeter is a 2000 count Uni-t UT136C. It's a nice little meter and very sturdy but thought it might be good to have a second higher count meter. I'll check out the Kaiweets for sure. Where did you buy yours? I usually like to buy on amazon if possible but I'm not seeing it on there at least not fulfilled buy amazon.
@@uni-byte I recently bought a neat little usb tester on amazon that was shipped from china because it was a lot cheaper and it worked out fine but normally I like to stick with fulfilled be Amazon because they have a good return policy that isn't too much of a pain and shipping is fast. I'm planning on doing a video just to show some of the gadgets I've gotten over the last 6 months or so but my phone mount broke so just waiting for my new one to arrive hopefully on Friday.
I agree, although I'm not a big fan of "smart" meters of which they seem to have quite a few. But then again, It's not just Kaiweets "smart" meters. Just not interested in the form factor.
I see a lot of people using those Kaiweets meters.

@@percaine I bout mine directly from Kaiweets. Like you I'm a bit leery of buying stuff off Amazon where it's not fulfilled by Amazon.
