The White Cane project | 2023

The White Cane project started with the idea of gifting blind individuals with canes to make their lives easier.
Today, we hosted 100 visually impaired individuals from all around Zanzibar. Throughout the day, we noticed that they were particularly happy to have connected with people who shared the same life experiences as them. They were extremely happy to connect with nature in our permaculture garden while touching plantations and animals and practicing their walking canes.
Firdevs said, "Our languages were different, but our way of life enabled us to establish a special form of communication among us."
