I recently rediscovered my NoBrainer pedal and MAN O MAN! that tone knob is nasty. It goes from chunky to fizzy in less than a centimeter.

    Hi.
    Thanks for this video.
I have a story that might interest you. When grunge was the hype thing, I knew a guitarist who was a Nirvana fan, and who was rehearsing in the same place as my band was at the time. He bought a DOD Grunge FX69 pedal (made in USA, 1993), but he was so disappointed with the sound of this pedal (that had nothing to do with Kirk Cobain's tone) that he gave it to me. One day when I came to rehearse without my gears [I had a Line6 ÜberMetal into a Marshall Plexi 100w by the time !], I connected this pedal to a bass amp that was there, and ... incredible : I got a pure HM-2 tone ! I think it was due to the combination between the equalization of the pedal and that of the amp which was equipped with a graphic equalizer. So it's possible, with the right equalizations, to get a real HM-2 sound with a DOD Grunge FX69 (the first ones, those that were entirely analog, from the 90s). Maybe one day you'll have the opportunity to try. I have never seen it elsewhere, but I can certify that it is possible !

hey man, been watching for a while and have really appreciated your videos. showing around the pink noise for each pedal (alongside of being a hm-2 fan) is what makes your channel really special. any chance you could make the pink noise window visible while you're dialing the knobs on the pedals you're testing, to see what happens in real-time? i think you already did that in one of the lwa left hand wrath videos, and i found it to be a nice touch to see what's really going on. another thing i've been wondering, is what the noise level for each pedal you use, really is, so maybe you could include those too?

Hey, thanks for your comment. Yeah, the "Live-EQ-Curve" will become standard eventually, there are just one or two older already finished videos left.
Noise level is an interesting addition as well. Might include it, although you can here it briefly at the end of every playthrough

it sounds pretty useable... but I really doubt I'd be able to identify it in a blind test among other pedals. Which, really, is probably all that is need to be said there ._.

It has a teaspoon of chainsaw in it, very interesting but other than this, the pedal was as you said, generic. However I kinda liked it with a distorted amp.
