Indian Mound Mall is a shopping center located in Heath, Ohio. It opened its doors on October 23, 1986. The mall's current anchor stores are AMC Theatre, Big Sandy Superstore, Altitude Trampoline Park, Dick's Sporting Goods, and JCPenney. There is one vacant anchor, formerly occupied by Sears.
Indian Mound Mall opened its doors on October 23, 1986, becoming the second indoor shopping mall in Licking County. The mall's first logo consisted of a circle with lines, and a feather that represents the native American Indian, which has "Indian Mound Mall" written on it. The original anchor stores consisted of the following: Elder-Beerman, JCPenney, Lazarus, and Hills. Crown Cinema was added to the rear of the mall in 1988.[3] A fountain was originally located in the center of the mall from 1986 to 1997. The same year the fountain was removed, the mall added Sears to replace a freestanding store nearby, and the Crown Theaters expanded from six screens to eleven screens, which became a Hollywood Theater. In 2016, AMC Theatres bought the Hollywood Theater. In 1998, Elder-Beerman was expanded, and later closed on August 26, 2018, adding 20,000 square feet (1,900 m2).
Target opened next to the mall in July 1995. In 1999, Hills was replaced by Ames, which in turn closed in 2002. Steve & Barry's moved into the empty store in 2004. Lazarus closed in 2004, becoming Goody's the following year. Goody's closed at the end of May 2008, and became Dick's Sporting Goods in 2011. Steve & Barry's was replaced in 2017 by Big Sandy. It was announced in early February that Lee's Kitchen Chinese restaurant would close marking the last restaurant in the Food Court. Lee's kitchen closed in early March 2020. And put a spiral of closures, when Seraphinas coffee shop closed in 2014, after being in the Food Court for over 2 years. That all changed after Osaka Japanese Grill closed up shop after a 20 year run at Indian Mound Mall in 2018. FYE left the same year 2 weeks after Osaka Grill closed. There is even a Developmental Disability center in the mall called Blend, which opened in the old Master cuts portion of the Big Sandy section of the mall.
On August 31, 2019, it was announced that Sears would be closing this location a part of a plan to close 92 stores nationwide. The store closed in December of that year.
The newest anchor Altitude Trampoline Park opened its doors November 18, 2020 in a portion of the old Elder-Beerman space. Apex Fitness Center is now open 24-hours a day for clients to work out and train.

In 1989, I was the mall manager's (at the time) secretary. The mall was just a few years old then. It was an active place. It had red/white tiled flooring and beautiful water fountains. They closed the fountains shortly after an elderly lady (probably the age I am now!) fell into one. Not sure if that what the reasoning was behind it; probably cost savings. Rents were very high then and some small stores were having a hard time paying the rents. Still, during the holidays and before online shopping, the mall was a great place to go or hang out. There used to be a kiosk in the middle of the mall to direct people. My good friend was the mall's marketing director. What fun and beautiful events she planned at the mall. Older people had a walking club that met before the mall opened and walked the mall in a large group then congregated for coffee from McDonald's and visiting with one another after. I moved away some time later. It was a gorgeous addition to Heath, Ohio.
From newark, born and raised. Have so many memories from this mall in my 40 years. Not much left.
Very sad
It was great in the 90's
I remember petland and Arcade use to be where the PAC sun store was and the big water fountains at the cross sections in the middle
I've lived in the area. For 12 years now. I truly like hearing about the history of Newark and Heath
Hey thanks for watching
When I was growing up my Dad would take the family to Indian Mound Mall over 30 years ago. Back then all I cared about was the arcade when we went....lol. Love the mall. We lived close to where Easton is now but now live in SE Columbus now. Watching this video just made me want go visit it soon. Thank you.
Hey thanks for watching!
Right next to Sbarro's Pizza 🍕 Used to be chicago hot dogs. In the late 80s early 90s. My Mom Worked There.
My grandfather Sal Guinta used to work as a janitor in the food court. He loved to talk to strangers, so that was a great job for him when he retired from the post office. I worked at McDonalds back in 1994 for 4 hours and never went back lol. Used to love the arcade, music store, and Spencer’s. Always got some Sbarro’s pizza too.
Guintas on Linville rd?
I remember ol’ Sal! He brought us dandelion patties in for us to try @ Sabrro’s
@@janellepennington7603 yep that’s them! Sal and Millie
@@scottmartin1170 oh yeah! Grandma always made dandelion patties and zucchini patties! Delicious
My Grandpa used to work as groundskeeping and security... and he loved that place... a lot of dedicated time.... lots of good memories of holiday parties growing up. Witnessed the downfall of this place over the years its saddening. My grandpa would literally turn in his grave knowing the mall he once loved and called his second home is like this.
Used to go to Garfields quite a bit. Food court had an Arthur treachers at one point. There was a pet land next to pac sun in the 90s.
I will always remember the red tile fountains in the middle of the floors. Also remember when they built on the Sears and expanded the movie theater to 11 screens with stadium seating.
the mall where i live is mostly empty, just random like collectables shops and spencers and crap left, it's super weird most of it's empty and it's become a place where all the old people in town walk for exercise, a pretty neat idea tbh, they should just make ALL malls indoor tracks for people to walk around on , you could pay a few bucks a month and walk there even to keep it going.
I remember when I was younger I used to go to the mall in the mornings with my grandparents and walk the mall for a couple hours
Garfield s was once Rugbys and i worked at The Baby Place , one of the small clothing stores beside Elder Beerman. We sold toddler pageant dresses , collectible dolls and Cabbage Patch dolls. The Designer of the cabbage patch came to sign them. It was great😊😊
Moved to the area in 2011 (I was 7). But I remember a decent amount of the stores that used to be there. Crazy how much it’s changed. I remember when the movie theatre was going downhill before AMC came in, and I know the Deja Vu place was a Justice for a while. Forgot about the floor being tile until you showed the comparison photos. I got my first Funko Pops at the FYE.
Crazy how much changed. I miss FYE lol
Dejavu is now closed. Mastercuts is the hair place. The main issue with that mall is that they're charging too much for rent. The reason oxbs is no longer in the mall is due to the mall had an agreement with masseys that said that they couldn't have chicken sold there. But that area is going to become downtown Heath.
That’s crazy! I didn’t know that.
I remember when the big sandy used to be hills then Ames then Steve and Barry’s
Hills before that
Hills, then Ames, then Steve & Barry’s. Hills turned into Ames in a lot of locations.
Grew up in Pataskala, mainly went to Eastland, but on occasion to Indian Mound. I remember being allowed to buy the DJ Jazzy Jeff and The Fresh Prince tape there!
Lol good combo
Thanks for the vid man. Growing up as a kid in the 80’s, my Mom did Arts & Crafts Shows at most of the malls in Ohio, my brother and I would spend a good deal of time at Indian Mound Mall (Dayton, Salem, Eastland, Westland, etc.) Great and sad trip down memory lane!
Very sad indeed. Thank you for watching!
It's weird how Sears is closed, but all the lights are on. It makes you wonder who's paying the electric bill. When the Mall first opened it was well lit, with an array of pastel trim colors. The inside look was very inviting. Today the pastel colors are long gone, as are the fountains that were there when the mall opened. The white floor tiles have been replaced by paper thin gray carpet. The carpet is probably colored gray to hide the dirt.
Some of the original stores included Tape World (they sold cassette tapes) Hills (later Ames), Brendamour's Sporting Goods, Kay Bee Toy and Hobby, Record Town, there were three different Hallmark stores, Lazarus, Elder=Beerman, Sears and Penney's joined Hills as one of the five anchor stores. Others included Just Sweats, Foot Locker, Walden Books and then there was the food court with Arthur Treacher's, Arby's, McDonald's, Taco Bell, Sbarro, Cinnabon and finally, there was even a pharmacy. J.C. Penney is the only store still in its original location. GNC was always located next to Penney's until it pulled out two years ago.
The original Foot Locker was located next to Walden Books. It eventually moved to where Hibbet's Sports was located where the workout gym is now located before it closed. Back in 1987, someone went in Lazarus with a fake $1,000 dollar bill and bought $350 worth of clothing and got $650 in change back. The scammer slipped the phony bill past the cashier and the manager on duty. The $1,000 dollar bill was made up of Monopoly money.
One final thought, you may be wondering what happened to the fountains that were located throughout the mall. What happened was a person in another city went to the mall one day very drunk. They fell inside one of the fountains and drowned. Their family sued the mall for negligence and won. Because of that incident, insurance companies will no longer insure malls with water fountains in them, which is why you don't find fountains in malls anymore.
Oh wow! Thank you for the info!
The drunk guy drowning sounds like a typical kneejerk response, they ought to just pad the walls and floors while they're at it!
28:50 The coin wishing well sounded empty when the coin fell in. Sad indeed.
This vid was very well composed. Cool to see a tour with someone who had first hand experience with the history of this mall.
Thanks for watching!
I absolutely love dead mall videos! Watching Dan Bell and Ace’s Adventures first got it going for me. I really miss the old days of hanging out at the mall with friends. You did an awesome job on this. And thank you for following me back on Instagram!
This is something new I’m trying, testing the waters on dead malls. So far people seem to like these videos. Might do another one sometime soon. And hey no problem! Thanks for watching!
The stores beside Aeropostle were Christopher Banks and CJ Banks. Hibbit used to be Foot Locker. After Steve & Barry's it was Spirit Halloween a few years, and it also used to be an Ames. Dollar Tree and a glo putt putt in that little shop. The Buckeye Store used to be JB Robinson Jewelry. Finish Line used to be somewhere else but I forget where that was. The church used to be a shoe store. After Pac Sun it was Justice, now the Deju Vu store has since been closed since the making of this video. The eyebrow place was also that same tattoo place before it moved over to where you mentioned in the video. I just miss going and hanging out at that mall. I used to love going there!!
Nice video, thanks. I graduated from Heath in 1985 and the mall opened the next year. It's funny but back then the mall was a great thing for the community, sad to see it nearly empty today. It was great for the area back then; everyone would shop and hang out there. Image hundreds of people walking around on an average weekday, that's what it was.
I can definitely relate. It’s sad what it’s come too.
I remember it opened in 1986. I was in my senior year of college in north canton Ohio. I remember hills dept store was one anchor. Lazarus , sears , j. C. Penney and elder bearmens. My little sister worked at a woman’s store there . Sears and pennys moved from South Gate to the mall. The movie theater needs to stay open since there isn’t any other place unless you go to Lancaster pickerington zanesville or Easton . The food court had a litter more places but if you don’t have major anchor stores you don’t get the traffic we had to go to Eastland or northland with has been gone over 2o years and eastland built in 1968 is on its way out Westland is gone. 1964 when I was born northland opened at Karl and Morse rd in Columbus as a mall but wasn’t enclosed until later . River valley in Lancaster is probably in same shape as Indian mound . A lot of people shop online which hurt. The malls and some malls became dangerous to go to especially in Columbus. Nice that you made the video
Where big Sandy’s is was Hills Ames and Steve and berrys
The McDonald's in the food court was also a coffee shop for a few years - I worked there starting in 2005 and left to work in the Payless that used to be around the corner from Journey's!
Alot of malls are looking like this in small towns with a population of guessing about 20k slowly fading away.
Newarks got probably 60k
@@TheNashFilesyah I live right next to the mall but in Newark i live like in the apartments in front of dairy isle and just in my school it’s has 500+ kids
Newark has about 51,000 and heath has about 11,000. When I started looking it up north was the 15th most populous city in Ohio and I think they dropped now to 18th? That was before Intel showed up. They are even calling us part of the Columbus metropolitan area now which has about 2.16 million people.
The mall was built in 1986. I went to work for the mall manager in 1989. It was having trouble with high rents and stores pulling out then. Still, the mall was a favorite hangout for a lot of kids and a great place to shop during the holidays. My sister ran Hickory Farms at Christmastime for years at the mall. In it's heyday, it was a lovely place with fountains and well kept. I can't see them tearing it down. Hopefully, with all the improvements they are making in Heath and the millions they are investing, they will come up with some useful purpose for the mall.
Where rual king is it was Lowe’s before it was hobby lobby and where Lowe’s is now is where park lanes bowling alley was at so much has changed around there
Yes just think in 1962 South Gate opened and that was the place to go. And Arrow department store that became value city in 1983
A Boscov’s would come in handy in the former Sears anchor. It is the only non-struggling department store in America.
I have never even heard of that
The toy store was where that heirloom store was
I used to be a security guard at that mall but I left in October of last year because I found out from the previous mall manager before they sold it the mall would be fully abandoned and closed by 2030
I’m honestly not suprised.
@@TheNashFiles basically I was a allied universal security guard posted at that mall from August 2019 till August 2023 because the mall’s owner’s Washington Prime Group sold it to a company from Michigan in late August that year .. they wanted security and house keeping to become in-house employees so I was a Indian mound mall security till I moved to utah in October. I mean I found out from both old and new owners of the mall since Covid the mall will eventually be abandoned and close forever
@@TheNashFiles some inside history from the mall as a former security guard.. when mall first opened in the late 80s the old mall manager was the security manager till 2006 where the previous mall owners Washington prime group wanted contract security with security companies.. which they hired allied universal and when Amazon started to hit all the attractions around the mall slowly decline and so did the mall after Covid .. and during Covid the previous owners of the mall filed bankruptcy and had it for sale .. later around July of last year I was told my mall manager Dave the mall was sold to a company in Michigan and after working security at the mall for the new company nothing was organized and running smoothly.. that’s why I left and work private security for a hospital where my wife works as a nurse
They charge too much for rent that is the main issue
Probably even sooner than later once Heath builds their new downtown behind Walmart. It supposed to break ground soon.
Rural king building was originally Lowe’s before Hobby Lobby
I grew up going to that mall it was the place to hang out they use to have really good stores in there
Somebody needs to revive this place. It was so big when I was little. Our town is lucky enough to have a mall, and management can't figure out how to do it. Dear management, change the way you rent spaces. Nobody is going to pay rent PLUS any profits. Just make a solid rent high enough for you to make your $$, so people can project business plans. We LOVE having this here, and I would like for my kids to know how fun it could be.
We just moved to Heath in 9/23. The mall needs to be redeveloped. And with the new $200 million city center coming, maybe it will breathe new life into it. If they remove the concourse and leave the anchor buildings it could be a nice outdoor shopping district.
That’s a really good idea!
@@TheNashFiles Thank you. I really think the area is going to explode in growth. Not everyone likes that, but it's impossible to stop. So, let's make it something nice. As a local architect, I'm really trying to be involved somehow. But, I don't have the right connections yet.
Before the mall we had cinema 4 duffs smorgasboard and heck’s dept store .
Wow used to hang out in the early 90's that food court was always busy and yes there was a Sbarro's pizza
Lots of fond memories at this place
Bath and body works also keeps it alive! Especially candle day. There’s a mile of ppl to show up.
Very few stores are keeping it alive. You are correct on BaB
There going to build hundreds of apts in the back where the land was for sale.
So,, long winded comment, here it goes, i guess to start, Heirloom Anthology was the KB Toys, Before Rue 21, there was a place called B. Moss, Ulta was a place called Kitchen collection which moved into where the old Halmark Gold Crown was back in 1995 and then it became gifts crafts and more, then when that went out, Kitchen Collection expanded into it's place. The KB toys went out in 2003 and became a christian book store before becoming Heirloom Anthology around 2011 ish. As for that Kitchen Collection space, it became a place called The Bargain Box before becoming Ulta in the spring of 2013. In the Hills wing was... well Hills (which later became Ames then holiday 2003 it was a place called Santa Street Central which later the in the next year would become Steve & Barry's, closing in 2008 then opening as Big Sandy's Superstore in October 2017), Dollar Tree, Deb and that church in the mall place was actually a small clothing place that went out around 2009 and when church in the mall went in, they tore those walls down and expanded the space. Next to that was master cuts, across from that was indeed payless, Journey's was actually foot locker, then, the food court... now this part might get a little controversial but i remember next to Taco Bell was a Cinnibon and then Auntie Annes right next to it and where Auntie Annes is now was a MRS. Fields cookies. Charley's has always been next to where Taco Bell was, then right where that vending machine is past the restrooms was a locker storage area, the next to that was Sbarro followed by Lee's Kitchen then Subway which later became Wendy's then Arby's was at the end of that, and yes across from that was McDonalds which went out in 2001 but came back briefly in 2003 and then in 2005 became Millers. That Boost Mobile next to that was a small mens clothing store, then i remember along that wall where the theater is, was a Petland catty corner from the food court around 1995 but later closed and was walled over. Then, the theater changed from Crown Cinema to Hollywood Theaters then to AMC, Fun 4 U was known as Lazer One, Sears moved in sometime in August of 1997, moving down the corridor past the food court is JCPenny which has always been there, except i remeber (up untill, i think, 1998 at least) to enter the store you had to go down 4 or 5 stairs because the floor used to be lower than it is now, next to penny's was GNC and then a Regis on the other side of that along with Record Town which later became FYE, that one part that's across from where Garfield's used to be was a Drug Emporium, then some clothing place, then a mini golf place around 1998 followed by one more clothing place before being walled over on the inside and glass on the outside. The Massey's was Garfield's, Elder-Beerman had remodeled in 1998 from that green walls and carpet theme, the Shoe Sensation use to be 3 separate small clothing stores which then became Shoe Sensation later on, next to that was Bonworth which is now the massage place then Walden Books next to that, then Aeropostale then some clothing store that i don't remember then Fason Bug which later was split into 2 and became C.J. Banks and Christopher and Banks. Going past the Sears wing you had the Kay Jewlers which was a Greeting card place at one point, followed by Lenscrafters which has been there since before my time then Bath and Body works, which i think has always been there, then where That place called "The Emporium" is, that used to be Victoria's Secret, across from where Claires and that path to the restrooms next to the food court is was a Zales. the place has evolved over the years and the day it closes will be one of the saddest days in history for me, because i still visit the place from time to time, do my holiday scouting from August to November then shop there during the holiday season. Alot of memories here.
Wow!! That’s a lot! Thank you for that information! I vaguely remember some of the stores you mentioned.
They actually expanded the mall where Sears was located. It used to end about halfway of where the theater is now.
Back in the late ‘80s/early ‘90s, there wasn’t even an arcade, just a wall of arcade machines because I remember going to the mall on a school field trip and playing Contra. Later they put in an arcade where the theater is before later moving it across the hall to where it is basically a carnival now. That Jurassic Park arcade has been there for years, in which maybe they had moved it around or had it in storage if you don’t remember it, but it has been in that spot for a long time. There was also a Star Wars arcade on the left hand entrance and I believe a Star Trek game near the Jurassic Park one as well, but I’m not 100% sure on that.
What about Lazarus and Goody’s (where Dick’s Sporting Goods is now). I am not from Heath/Newark originally. But my childhood mall, River Valley Mall in Lancaster which is very similar to Indian Mound Mall had a funky-wacky looking entrances which used to a Lazarus years ago.
Bath and body works moved from it's original location. I can't remember where it was before! I do remember that white barn candle was attached and there was an entryway between the stores
I see the anchor stores turning into Entertainment venues supporting the smaller stores on the concourse. I saw an article about an idea to turn a Sears and somewhere near Chicago into an indoor Euro electric cart track. We already have the trampoline park. There is a 24 hour fitness gym. Revitalization includes reimagination. Being the county seat Newark has so little entertainment value.
Hair place was mastercuts they were great!!!
A new you was a clothing boutique back in the day.
i miss the old glow in the dark minigolf place that used to be in the Heirloom in the mid 2000’s. and the old FYE.
Same lol
Spencer's was a TShirt store called PURE GEAR in the late 90s.
Where big Sandy was used to be Hills then Ames then Steve and Barry’s then vacant now it’s Big Sandy and the hair salon was Master cuts
Radio shack was down across from dollar tree I think. It was in a skinny hall.
The area over by the movie theater is right around where the carpeting ends, is all an addition that was added in the 1990's, or early 2000's. The original movie theater was only 5 screens and occupied only the right hand side of the space. Sears and the area that is now occupies was the original parking lot.
The Spencers looks to be the only original occupant of the mall left. It has been in that location since the mall opened. You're correct about the location of McDonald's, Arby's, and Taco Bell. Other occupants in the 1990's was Sabarro, Charley's Steakery, and Mark Pi's. I can't remember the rest (getting old).
Where Big Sandy's is was a Hills Department Store... I can still smell the popcorn dispenser they had right at the entrance of the store.. Again... old... I can also tell you where Sears was originally located along 79... Not to mention Where Lazarus', Kroger's, Big Bear's, and the original Dunkin Donuts was location in Heath. Yeah, that old...
Hey! Thank you for the info! It’s nice to hear some of the history I missed.
I thought that was a hills.
@@TheNashFiles I may be wrong, but the KB used to be where the kid's church is. The comic book store is located where a Hallmark Card Shop was in the 80's. I think Lens Crafters is original... again, could be wrong...
@@ralphrandolph2475 I remember there being a KB but for the life of me I can’t remember lol
BACK IN 96 THAT PLACE WAS BOOMING IT LOOKS LIKE NOW NOT EVEN 10% OF THE ORIGINAL BUSINESSES ARE EVEN THERE
Hair place was Master Cuts. I remember my brothers getting there hair cut there. After Hills was an Ame's(spelling?) and then a Steven Berry's.
"Rugby's" was the original restaurant where Massy's is located.
There was a clothing store that had a magazine. I went there a lot. I loved it. I can’t remember the name now😢
to be fair this video looks to be taken when the first opened in the morning. yes it has a lot of empty stores but does stay fairly busy compared to others in ohio
It was mid afternoon during the week, could be why, but I’ve also been there late evening on weekends…it’s dead then too.
Next to the sabarros at some point there was a family Asian kitchen. They had really good food. Spent many days hanging out in Waldenbooks and FYE. The Hollywood theater used to have strobe lights and crazy carpet, I loved going in there as a kid! Last time they had a carnival in the parking lot was 2014 and then I never saw it happen again. Parents got their cars serviced at sears a lot, I can still smell it. Sad to see it this way now, I grew up thinking I would hang out here or any mall all the time as an adult, never got to because it started going downhill around 2014.
Also do you remember the specific smell Steve and Barry’s had? it was the flooring or something, it still sticks with me. They had a line of clothes with Sarah Jessica Parker and Amanda bynes back in the day. I was a walking Steve and Barry’s ad 😂
Haha yeah! I remember that smell! 😂I always bought the Stephon Marberry clothes 😂
26:00 on ward it was Suncoast Motion Picture Company and i believe the only one in Ohio that stayed original is in the Piqua Mall and before that Kenwood Towne Centre which became FYE.
There’s a Sun coast at the mall at Fairfield commons. I was there a few weeks ago

blame it on two-walmart and amazon
I went to that mall one time. I had a beer at a bar/restaurant like Ruby Tuesdays
That would have been Garfields

Come to Zanesville Ohio and do a walkthrough tour of Colony Square Mall
Well, if I'd known I was being recorded I would've said hi. Tech For All is in the mall!
This video is crazy funny. As soon as you see some "art" thing in a mall, you know it's dead. And that store with "buy 1 pair of shoes, get 2 free" ? It looked like one person taking this offer would wipe out the shoe inventory.
Lol you’re not wrong
Even though I never really go to a mall anymore, I get kind of sad as they become dinosaurs and extinct. I have good childhood memories with my mom and gramma
It really is sad, thank you for watching 😊
Pretty good live walk and talk video of this mall, not far from you is the Zanesville and New Philadelphia Malls.
I’ll do the zanesville mall at some point
@@TheNashFiles Great I think it is step up from Indian Mound but I could be wrong. I visited all of these including Shops at Worthington and Eastland Mall in one day including Belden Village. Yes you can get into Eastland but take a friend!
@@SuperBuickregal it’s been a long time since I’ve been to Eastland. I’ve thought about it but haven’t decided yet. 😬
Mother's Day weekend was the carnival
They have done some parking lot things in the sears parking lot. It was like a stunt car show not too long ago
That Ohio sports place used to be a jewelry store
I from Zanesville. I have been to that mall many times. So sad. Our mall is the same or worse. Kitchen Collection was in the mall
Probably do a video on zanesville mall soon
Chinese restaurant next to Sbarro's
Auntie Ann’s used to be Cindy’s Cinnamon Rolls…they were amazing
My understanding since new mall manager lot good cleaners ran off since 2023. Now no cleaners no security. And he raised rent double on several ... Ice cream one cheesy place gone and others since this vidio. Carpets are mess and trash. Church gone Since few weeks ago. 2 more restrurants gone. They use let walkers in early but now not tell late late which they complain. Do a update and see why this place dont have cleaners .
In the movie theator behind seats they dont clean. Trashed. So sad. More managment ..poor service. They have number call for help that they dont answer. :(
K B Toys use to be on the right next to or the next to last store of what is now Dick's Sporting Goods. But, I remember what the Indian mound Mall use to be back in the day and how it was packed with people. Now, it's like nobody wants to hardly give there money to the stores in the malls at all. They rather shop online and have they're stuff shipped to they're house. The corona virus is what started that trend, and now look at what's happened. People are still shopping online and way less at stores. It's just sad that all the stores have closed down from what the glory days of the malls use to be. Maybe, just maybe, things will go back to what it use to be. Who knows!
It’s sad really. I personally love the feel of an old mall. Reminds me of simpler times.
Buckeye Pop Shop use to be a Jewelery place.
I am from Zanesville Back in the late 80s I took a date to the movies at Indian mound mall parked in the front of the mall and when the movie was over the mall was closed and access to the mall was fenced off and you had to go out the back. It was cold out and my date and I had to walk all the way around the mall to get to my truck. We froze our butts off on the walk
Zanesville mall is practically empty now too.
There used to be a eyeglasses store (Pearl Vision I think )
Sounds familiar
Sad🥲, I kinda think no matter what this was coming with technology!
Hallmark used to be in there
Heirloom used to KB toys!

All the malls are pretty much done. Most retail stores are struggling to stay open. People are to lazy to go shopping. They want to buy everything online for the most part. We are losing the ability to walk in to these stores and fisicaly see in person what you are actually buying. Soon you will have no choice. Just order on line and get what you get.
It’s sad it’s come to that, it’s not like it used to be.
Been thousands of times
The one place by Spencer’s was Rax
There use to a pet land befor you got to the movie theater
I know a lot of malls are crap now but I feel like everyone around here thinks you gotta go to Columbus to shop. Feel like this mall was going down hill before a lot of the others

The food court is the most depressing part of this whole video
