- There is so much to say about this delay pedal but it's best to just hear it. JAM Pedals really found something incredible here, creative, boundary pushing sounds with basically no clock noise; a feat I wasn't even sure was possible. Check out the Delay Llama Xtreme, trust me.

oh hey lets gooo, one of my favorite delays. Love all the background ear candy you captured with this one.
Dude it’s a dream. I’m so enamored with it
Sounds smooth as hell. Super versatile
Great intro and video as usual Mark! Always appreciate your content!
really cool demo !! love this pedal
How has no one talked about that intro song, that was the most incredible sounding song. well done.
Wonderful video!
This is a win! Really enjoy your videos and love Jam pedals! I have the delay llama extreme and always wanted to try a thermae. Would love your thoughts on how they compare.
love watch your videos here in brazil
I have the delay llama mk3 and it is amazing!
Love the name of this pedal, I’m not even going to watch past the ad. Just wanted to say kudo’s.
After the Ravish Sitar, the Delay Llama is another clever name for a pedal
That is a beautiful sounding delay. That said, after hearing a real Echorec I’m just gonna have to save the 2000+ dollars to get the most amazing sounding delay I’ve ever heard. There must be something about the tube preamp’s that just give each delay extra sparkle in life.
The Boonar and Volante are great Echorec options and much cheaper than $2,000. I just got the Volante and it’s well worth the money.
@@MickeyDs14 I have a Catalinbread Echorec end it does the job pretty well. And while I totally agree with you that the $2000 is a lot of money… When you hear the real thing and you hear the note burst from the tape echo, there just isn’t anything else quite like it.
I went to my local shop to try this one out for the second time today.
I thought when one of the three lights were on that it was indicating what mode you are in but now i see its just the saved preset?
Am i getting that right?
I noticed that only the single light (above the three) was on when you were changing through the modes.
Anyways....thanks for this video 😊
The extreme can do everything that the red Llama can do?
Similar to the DOD Rubberneck? Any comments comparing the two?
I’ve never played a rubberneck. Reminds me of a reimagining of a lot of Thermae though. But fundamentally different in its tonal approach and the way it harmonizes
much more polished delay than the Rubberneck. Rubberneck is cool , and the pitch jumps are fun, but it's noisy and fairly one-dimensional. Delay Llama Xtreme gives you 4 modes and a bunch more sounds and versatility, especially in that Thermae-esque pitch dancing on the repeats.
Rubberneck was a bit noisier IIRC, also the special modes on the Rubberneck were a bit more gimmicky (to me). Rubberneck still a great delay, especially if you see one at a good price. The Delay Llama Xtreme is better though. IMO.
It's difficult to fathom and impossible to quantify how much time I have spent sitting in front of my Delay Llama Xtreme in self oscillation.
You like this or the benson delay better?
Have you done a video about Luna?
It’s littered across the channel but I haven’t done a proper deep dive into why I use LUNA yet. Coming soon
At 14:25, when you turn on the delay after disconecting the trails, the trails start sounding again... This happens all the time when you're playing? I mean, you are playing dry and in the moment you switch on the delay, the trails of the previous played (dry) appears??? That would be very unappropiated in some cases... I'm thinkng about buying it but if it's not stopping the oscillations when it's off... Im doubting...
Im lost on how to consider those pitch shifts are anything but ridiculous. As Joel Korte said about the thermae: “silly business.”
