I am a Hindi speaker and I can say this guy acts way better than most of the Hindi 'heroes' all three khans. This movie in particular was awesome. Another movie that's awesome is Vivegam.

Budget technicality.
Most cinematographers in Bollywood are South Indians especially from TN and Kerala. Technically South Indian movies are miles ahead of Bollywood.
