    Some very pleasant sounds and absolutely extraodinary technique, but if ever the criticism of everything sounding the same within a genre could be applied...this is it

    I think this stuff sounds super pleasant as a style to jam in for a few minutes, but not as a whole ass genre. I could never listen to an entire album of just that

    i dont care what other peole say, i love these players and they deserve all the success they have. Ichika Nito is my favorite, far from the best but his tone and creativity are fantastic.

      I think that Tim Henson does it pretty well. A lot of the Polyphia songs stick with me. A couple from Ichika too. But in a lot of cases it can feel like there's too much going on for me to really connect with it. I love the music, but I love it in a very different way to the other music I listen to

      @@zmlhezmlhe4843 Its mostly major in tonality and its too "pretty". The harmonies here are totally cliche and its mainly technique driven. Have these guys heard of dissonance?

      @tonixjesse9087 Pƙed rokem +1

      Bro, seem you're irritated by my comment, how old are you, 11/12?!? What do "pentatonic shredders" have to do with it: don't you know anything else? ? There is an infinity of other music and there are countless other players to be heard out here, who are far more versatile and exceptionally virtuosic, more than these niche shredders. Listen, look around, grow a little, broaden your mind if you can: don't stay limited.

  • @FloridaManMatty

    I’m sorry, but this just doesn’t sound musical to me at all. It sounds like someone asked an AI to write a song on guitar. I’ve heard Atari 2600 soundtracks that were more musical than this stuff
then again, I also think Shawn Lane is the pinnacle of the art of electric guitar and plenty of people think Kieth Richards or Slash are the “best”. There’s no accounting for taste

    So while this style doesn’t stir my puddin’ I AM happy to know that it’s out there and that the people playing and listening have something that they love and can kinda think of as “theirs” like I do with guys like Lane and Lenny Breau.

    • @Johnnysmithy24
      @Johnnysmithy24 Pƙed rokem +1

    Sobrevaloran a estos guitarristas. Sin duda son muy buenos y de muy alto nivel técnico. Pero aquí los elevan como que fueran el olimpo de la guitarra jajaajka .....no se comparan con los mejores guitarristas, shreders de los 90 y para que hablar de los grandes jazzistas de fusión y jazz rock....

      muchos de esos son aburridisimos, literal paul gilbert,yngwie malmsteen etc son cracks pero sus composiciones son un asco solo tocan patrones y arpegios en distintas tonalidades y ya. Lo que hace grandes a estos tipos modernos aparte de la velocidad y técnicas es que eso lo aplican de una manera mas musical y melódica que esos guitarristas de antes , es decir cuando las usan tienen un contexto y sentido que forman parte de la canción
