    This comment is mainly for those who are interested in the maths discussed. Let me explain the actual probability in easier terms (I doubt I stick to my words for being easy. But you can trust me, it's the right answer.)
    So the question is : What are the odds that you correctly guess the configuration on 3 dice.
    There are 6 pieces on 6 sides of the dice (K,Q,R,B,N,P)
    Many including Samay said 1/216 as the answer, but it's not.
    1/216 only works if the pieces are to be guessed along with their order correct. Let's see what is the answer without following the order.
    Now, 6/216 (= 1/36) seems to be right answer as someone pointed out but it's not.
    It's easy to assume 6 (=3!) different possible orders. But that's only true when all 3 outcomes are different. (Eg. for king, bishop and rook, there are 6 right answers KRB, KBR, BRK, BKR, RKB and RBK)
    However in case of repetition, it fails. For eg. for King, King and Queen (2 same) there are only 3 (KKQ, KQK and QKK)
    And for king, king and king (all 3 same) there is just 1. (KKK)
    So how to deal with this?
    Let's count them first.
    In total, there are 6x6x6 = 216 possible outcomes.
    What's the chance of getting all 3 different?
    We can calculate the possible ways of chosing 3 different pieces out if 6.
    It turns out to be 6C3 = (6! / (3! X (6-3)!) = (6x5x4)/(1x2x3) = 20.
    So we can choose 20 different sets of 3 different pieces. Each of them can have 6 different arrangements as we know. Which means out of 216 there are 120 results with all 3 different pieces.
    For all 3 same pieces, there are only 6 results ( KKK, QQQ, RRR, BBB, NNN and PPP)
    So remaining 90 cases have one piece ocurring twice.
    We have almost done it. Now let's calculate the final answer:
    The chance of getting all 3 pieces different is 120/216. And the chance of getting it right there is 6/216.
    The chance of getting 2 pieces of same kind is 90/216. And the chance of getting them right is 3/216.
    The chance of getting all 3 same is 6/216. And then the chance if guessing it right is 1/216.
    So considering all possibilities (there are 216x216= 46656);
    The chance of getting right answer is = (120/216 x 6/216) + (90/216 x 3/216) + (6/216 x 1/216)
    = 720/46656 + 270/46656 + 6/46656)
    = 996/46656
    = 332/15552
    = 2.1348 %
    Sagar was really lucky at the moment!
    Edit: As Akhil mentioned, the problem is even more complicated than this. We are assuming that a person is likely to make a fairly random guess with each possibility having equal chances. However we are often biased. But there is no way to kniw those tiny details and it would make the problem much more complicated in real life.
    So the answer only makes sense if we assume that the person who guesses makes a perfectly random guess (with each possible answer having equal chance)

    I cannot believe no one has yet correctly solved the probability question, so here goes:
    Basically, the probability that the guess is correct depends on the kind of guess - If the guess if for all the three pieces being different, (e.g. King, Queen and Knight), then the probability is 6/126 or 1/36 as they deduced in the stream. However, if the guess is for two pieces being the same and the third one different (e.g. Rook, Rook and Pawn), then the probability is 3/126. Similarly, if the guess is all the pieces same (e.g. King, King and King), then the probability is 1/216. So, the short answer is that the chance of making a correct guess depends on the kind of guess.
    Now we can arrive at an answer by making certain assumptions on how someone guesses it.
    a) If the guesser is equally likely to make a guess with all three different pieces, two pieces same and all three pieces same (i.e. 1/3 probability of each kind of guess), then the net answer is (1/3)*(6/126) + (1/3)*(3/126) + (1/3)*(1/216) or 1.5%.
    b) A more correct assumption of how the guesses are made is based on the likely outcome of each of the three different kind of guesses. Out of the 216 total possible outcomes, 120 cases are those when all three are different, 90 are those with two pieces same and third different, and 6 cases with all three pieces as same. Hence, P(all three pieces different guessed) = 120/216, P(two pieces same) = 90/216 and P(all three pieces same) = 6/126. Then, the chances of making a correct guess is (120/216)*(6/126)+(90/126)*(3/126)+(6/126)*(1/216) = 2.1%

    Dude Everyone is doing the Calculation WRONGLY. In 1 dice since there are 8 pawns therefore the probability of getting a pawn is more than any other piece.
    Total no. of outcomes- 6
    IN ORDER:-
    Probability of getting a pawn- 8/16 or 1/2
    Probability of getting bishop or knight or rook (Since there are 2 pieces of each) = 6/16 or 3/8
    Probability of getting a king or queen= 1/16
    Total outcomes in 1 dice=16
    Total outcomes in 3 dice=16×3=48
    To find the probability of any 3 dice we just need to multiply the prob. of them(prob of one dice×3= prob of 3 dice dice)
    For eg. If we need 3 knights
    Then 3/8 × 3/8 × 3/8 = 27/512
    Eg. 2 If we need a bishop knight pawn,
    Then 3/8 × 3/8 × 1/2 = 9/128
    NOT IN ORDER:-

    Let's think other away, total outcome= 6*6*6= 216, So getting only other 5 pieces except King ( Queen, Bishop,Knight,Rook,Pawn) is 5*5*5= 125.... So probability of getting atleast a king is =216-125=91...
