The Beluga is a good and budget alternative to Traxxas TRX4.
But do not expect a Traxxas like quality when the Beluga is Priced 2/3
cheaper than the TRX4.

Don't charge the battery right out of the box. Run it down first.
It will run on 3s as well, but do so at your own risk.

Why would you run it first? Lipo batteries are stored with low charge for extended life.
Lol I love mine , got it in red ! Installed 40kg servo , spectrum receiver, trx wheels and tires , trx shocks , Installed my own lights . Make sure to grease up your trans , diffs and portals

I'm yet to take the lighting system apart yet, what did you fit? I want to change to my DumboRC radio to use locking front diff as well as 2 speed but the lighting system doesn't look like it'd be reusable 🤔
@@lukedavis4213 you have to cut the wires and check what wire is for the front and rear lights.
@@RedLionRCjust did that, have rear red and both fronts on permanently. Now have shift servo on 3 position switch so I have low-neutral-high 😂

Did anyone find out already how to set the steering endpoints? The servo pulls a lot further than the mechanical end of the linkage.
No, I think you have to change all of the electronics 🤷🏼♂️

@@RedLionRC nein, der original Lenkservo legt viel mehr Weg zurück, als er sollte / ein kürzeres Servohorn würde helfen ... aber ich hoffe darauf, daß es doch per 'Set Up' Taste einstellbar ist

50/50 IPX4. The receiver is not waterproof, but there is an easy way to get it waterproof. 1) with a ballon and silicon ear plugs
2) plasti dip
3) waterprooft receiver box

Mine is, it's been fully submerged a few times. Signal range is lost but with the transmitter close it works fine. The receiver board is coated on my R1001.
Are the trans and portal gears metal or plastic? Cheers

Give the motor mount a thin layer of tape. That will avoid the play it has.
Did you lose the rock van for good or did you retrieve it? I lost a Ascent in the river, unable to retrieve it lol😅

I ve never driven a rgt. Compared with an trx4, same performance for 1/3 of the traxxas price.

@@RedLionRC das Chassis sieht dem TRX 4 ja unglaublich ähnlich. Hast du schon geschaut, ob dort auch TRX4-Teile passen?
@@haltdenranddurind ja auf facebook gibts ne gruppe. Da sagen viele das trx4 teile passen bis auf die karosserie. Messing axen oder portals hab ich gesehen passen 1:1
