    They are all awesome, 3 totally different styles, we should be so lucky to have those guys on one stage together.

  • @Bridging_the_Political_Divide

    Three legendary players for sure. Beating Paul Gilbert technically is nearly impossible, love how Richie combines technical with feel, and George's riffs through the years are second to none. All 3 great....all different.

  • @faithandpractice
    @faithandpractice Před 7 lety +14

    Kotzen and Gilbert are 2 of my favorite guitarists. They can both technically execute anything possible. Once you get to that point there is no "better". There's only what we "prefer". I personally prefer Kotzen.

    Lynch can really shred. You always think he is overcompensating, but his feel is so incredible, he is the least perfect among the three and hence the best. Even ritchie is outperformed every time. 😊😊. Mr. Scary through and through.

    These days , I think Lynch is a bit "hit or miss" , but only because I think he is trying hard to force "the magic" of a creative spontaneous moment ... I guarantee he hasn't lost his "touch" ....... probably just tired of the same old approach ...shit, he's in his early 60's ...... playing guitar for over 40 years ...... sometimes you gotta change it up to keep it interesting to yourself .

  • @johngoodman3653
    @johngoodman3653 Před rokem +1

    OK I'll weigh in. As far a guitarists, Gilbert is as good as it gets at what he does. George can't touch Paul's chops anymore, and Ritchie is a flat out generational talent through effort, musical gift and physiology. The scary of it is that he sings even better than he plays, and his playing is top shelf. George should never have become a body builder, his diminution in chops is directly linked to that, saw enough shows over that span before and after, 20 inch biceps no likey 200 BPM 16th notes. I always liked that he hit "wrong" notes intentionally. All in all If I'm stuck on a desert island after my plane crashes, I'm taking 50 for 50, Kotzen Essential and Beast from the East. Throw in Gilbert on Godzilla for when the volcano erupts.
