  • Echo, my parents parrotlet, randomly attacks his bell and hangs upside down on his hamster wheel. Such a cute and funny bird, happily chirping as he plays! (:
I do not own Echo and am only responsible for taking this video and publishing it. Anyone who has a problem with this video obviously does not know the behaviors of a parrotlet.

My Zazoo has always been super clam too, he never goes for things like that. lol. Echo is still young so introducing them to playing and interacting with new things is best while they are still open minded about it. lol

I just buy the seed for cockatiels/small hook bills because it is so hard to find "parrotlet seed" for an affordable price. They also get Roudybush pellets in a separate container. Sometimes I put in molting and conditioning supplement for cockatiels (in a seperate container) because Zazoo is a plucker- it helps his feathers. And they get whatever fruits/veggies and whole grains I can find once a day. I leave it in the cage for 2 hours. Hope this helps!

When I bought them, the smallest they had was 'Mini', now they have the 'nibles' size for parrotlets. I plan on buying the 'nibles'
I buy online. you can go to roudybush's website and compare prices with ebay and see what works best for you.
I found a 44oz bag on ebay for 21.26 with free shipping so that's what I'll be buying next. Hope this helps!
