This is a must view for beginners visiting this exclusive resort.
I've watched loads of ski resort reviews and there isn't one anywhere near as good as this one absolutely fantastic thank you
Steve, you're an ABSOLUTE LEGEND! I'm planning my first ski holiday and I couldn't find anything like your videos: Informative, easy, breaking down for different experience levels, no music, no "influencer teen" bullshit... Looking forward for more videos from you in ski and/or different sports as well (why not) :D
Check out my video on Pas de la Casa. Decent for beginners and excellent value
here i am again wooo love this review
And if I’d commented every time I’d watched this since the last time I commented. there would be about 60 comments !!!!
Superb
Still brilliant love it watching again now
I am watching again love it ❤
and watching again Steve love it want to go desperately 🤟
Oh dear. You are in a bad way David. Not long to wait
Great video Steve, we are visiting for a second time in March. Travelling with my parents who have visited Obergurgl many many times and also a big fan of your video, keep up the great work!
how were conditions in march?
Great review. Just booked for our second time there.
Cheers Chris. Hope you have fun
and again 👍👍👍👍
Love this video. Super helpful for planning the trip and getting the most out of the mountain. Do you have any recommendations for traveling late Dec/early January? Anything is useful. Thanks!
I’m heading to Andorra. Cheap and a decent area and high.
Check out my Andorra video.
Pas de La Cassa
Thanks for posting that video. I thought the motorcycle museum had burnt down?
I heard that but it was the same as the last time I went. No evidence of fire.
Fantastic video Steve- so helpful and full of great tips, I will there in a couple of weeks staying at Hotel Alpina. I am now in my senior years as a skier and now tend to be inclined to ski the easier wider Blues, can you advise how difficult is the Red 12 section in Obergurgl that runs down to the Top Express cable car. Or should I just get the bus from Obergurgl to Hochgurgl?
Great hotel. I expect you will cope with the red fine. Maybe leave till after lunch.
It’s quite enjoyable so long as not really icy.
@@steveslifereviews thanks Steve
Just back from a memorable weeks skiing- what a place 5 STAR!!!
How was the Nederhutte?
Looks fun, but such was the bad experience I had the first time I ever tried skiing, it put me off it for life, so my skiing is now restricted to watching skiing videos on You Tube. Skiing, you're welcome to it.
Hi Steve. I’m here with my kids can you recommend the easiest blue run that is easy cruising and avoids as many steep bits as possible. Steep for a beginner I mean.
Sorry. You are probably home by now. I guess it will be the short lift out of the village up by the Nederhutte
Very nice. Would you say in general whether Hochgurgl has long nice wlde blue runs or these blue runs are more narrow? Thanks.
There are some nice white blues higher up, but the ones down into the bottom of the valley are narrower and more challenging
@@steveslifereviews Thank you.
Hi great video , where would you say is best to stay Hochgurgl or Obergurgl? Thanks
If you’d like really good apres ski , it has to be Obergurgle
The Nederhutte is on the home run and you can ski home in the dark to most of the hotels.
It’s an absolute banging Apres bar Probably a quarter of a mile up the mountain with an easy run home had an excellent House band.
@@PromiseMoney1 thanks, We were looking at Haus Gurgl , would you recommend and was there any noise from ski rental or pizzeria?
@@garynealon6060 I have stayed at the Hausgurgle.
Lovely people, great food and you can ski virtually to the doorstep with a short walk across the car park
I don’t recall any noise.
Our rooms are in the Annex.
The downside is that you have to walk outside of the hotel to get into the restaurant and bar, although this was no drama as far as we were concerned.
Up side-the rooms were massive
It’s in a fairly quiet spot
We also stayed at the Bellevue a previous year which was also very good and a slightly better location
@@PromiseMoney1 Great thanks for the info, looking to book soon with Crystal
@@garynealon6060 just noticed i replied with my work log in - oops. You probably saw Haus Gurgle at the end of the video so can see how close it is to the slopes.
What time of year was this trip?
I have been twice. Firstly, the week before Christmas and secondly early January. It is a high resort and there was loads of snow both times.
