Once she went to C# and then to F#, I thought she was fine. That A# however, she lost it. In her defense, she with one lung did far better than the likes of Chaka Khan, Mariah, Carey, Frankie Beverly, etc...with 2 lungs (...although it's reported that Frankie Beverly has had health problems in recent years.) Point is that at some point, even the greats start to decline....some gradual, some far more drastic.

I went to school with her daughters. Sister Nelson has only 1 lung and still hits the notes.
