As always your artwork tuned out beautifully!😘😘
Tip for the watercolor pencils: after you activate the watercolor, let it dry...then go on top with pencil. 🤗

The way I used my Inktense pencils, I will lay the color down, but not all over. I will use a medium pressure and use the water to spread the color. The farther you spread it, the lighter it will be. Just like regular watercolor. Also, I have found that it is easier to use the watercolor, let it dry, then go over with other pencils where needed.

I have some water color pencils I have never used. Thank you for showing me how. I have loved coloring all my life but had not done adult coloring until a few years ago.
I am almost 86 years old and spend a lot of my day coloring. My 3 girls and two granddaughters love to color also. I received 12 coloring books for Christmas!.

Hi Rachel! Long time lurker, first time commenter! This page came out beautiful, I think it’s great you’re trying new things. You actually inspired me. I’ve actually been very intimidated to get the new Kerby books, but I saw how you tackled the first double spread of this book on your previous video and had to get this book. I’m gonna follow your example and take things one at a time. Btw, You did great with the watercolor pencils, I have just a tip, for coloring books, try using a watercolor blender pen, not the alcohol blender marker, but a watercolor colorless blender marker. Like Tombow’s colorless blender pen or Doves blender pen, you can also try a water brush, I find I have more control of the pigment and water with those, especially when using it in a coloring book where the pages aren’t exactly made to handle water. Like you saw with your little mishap, too much water and the paper gets wrecked. Just thought I’d give you a tip, in case you decide to try more watercolor pencils. Anyhoo, great video, your coloring is amazing as always! Love your channel and content.

I discovered watercolor pencils, inktense and neocolor2 last year and I use them in EVERY book i own.1, Just don't use all lot of water 2. Work quick especially in the eriy books. 3. Put more pigment down because it hard to go back because you will lift the colors. 4, iron your pages when it buckles, don't use the steam function and as a towel or copy paper under neath. I have had any problems with bleeding because I don't use a lot of water or i am able to cover the bleeding up.. I just love to see how the colors get more and intense and give more dept than I am able to give with them.

Some cheap pencils also work with water although the are branded as normal.. just because of the use of cheap pigments.. 🙄

Here is a hint. If paper buckles you can gently iron it when finished

This turned out great. One way I use watercolor pencils is to bring the wet brush too to the end of the pencil, getting pigment on the tip, then paint with the brush. You get a much more pigmented effect. Just and FYI. I love how both the flamingos turned out

If you put watercolor paper or under your picture in the coloring book it will help protect rest of book

I think if you used a blending pencil or gamsol you could blend the non watercolor pencil into the watercolor pencil.

I love watching how you experiment and learn. However with that said, when the water droplet fell on his wing...a “oh my, or gee whiz” might of been a better reaction.
